Come Back to Me (Blessings, Georgia, #6) was a good read by Sharon Sala. Phoebe and Aidan were high school sweethearts that were torn apart by a devastating fire that pitted their families against each other. Twenty years go by before Aidan was called back to Blessings. He doesn’t want to confront his past but he knows that he may have to. Phoebe and Aidan see each other and long suppressed feelings creep up again. Their past comes back to destroy the peace that they have found. I loved reading Aidan and Phoebe’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala.
As always a great read. Love blessing Georgia and the characters that are created.
I love all of Sharon Sala’s books and especially love the Blessings, Georgia series!!
Sharon Sala truly is a magnificent storyteller.
Come back to Me is a Heart warming, feel good, grab a box of tissues, cause you will most likely have the sniffles, kind of story. Just the way I like it.
I’ve read quite a few of her books and I’ve loved all of them but her Blessings, Georgia series is not only the best, but one of my all time favorites.
A Small town where everybody knows everybody, and there’s nothing you can do that someone doesn’t know about within minutes. It reminds me of my own hometown and I think that’s what draws me into these Blessings, Georgia stories. It’s like reading about home.
The best part of these books is you get to read about new people, and then you get a chance to catch up with past book characters. It’s like you’ve went out of town and now your back home again.
All you have to do is read the prologue and you’d be hooked. Wow! That was one heck of beginning.
Aidan is back in Blessings to get his grandfathers estate in order. It’s been 20 years since him and his father fled from there, and he’s not looking forward to being back. Unbeknownst to Aidan, he left something much more precious behind, than just the love of his life.
When Aidan and Phoebe finally reunite, all the hurt and devastation from the past is finally out in the open.
Such an emotional journey these two have to take, in order to find peace and love again. But, there’s a second chance waiting for both of them and all that have to do is work past all the pain and regrets.
Between broken bones, a supermarket showdown, and 20 year old secrets out in the open, there is much going down in Blessings.
Before I forget, I have to give a shout out to whoever picked this cover. It’s stunning!
Come Back to Me was amazing and I absolutely loved it. I started in the morning and was finished by dinner. Couldn’t put it down.
I most definitely recommend this book.

Love her books and this series!
Loved it. I keep a copy in my car to read while waiting for trains or at long stop lights.
I always enjoy reading a book by Sharon Sala because I know I can look forward to interesting and sympathetic characters and a compelling storyline that will engage my heart and this book does that and so much more. I love reading stories about small towns, but in this case I hated the prejudice and malicious gossip that chased Aiden and his father out of Blessings, Georgia 20 years ago. Aiden reluctantly returns to his hometown to deal with his late grandfather’s estate and he’s absolutely flabbergasted to see a young man that looks exactly like him walking down the street. What I absolutely loved about this book is the heartwarming way this family comes together and celebrates the blessings in their lives, rather than dwelling on the past. The very best part of reading this book is finding out that there are five previous books in the Blessings series and I can’t wait to read them all. I read an early copy of this book provided by NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
Sharon has a way of writing that keeps me entertained whether on the beach or in the doctors office. I’ll take her with me anywhere
Heartwarming, sweetly sexy, action packed and emotional second chance romance that pulls at all the heart strings and kept me reading into the early morning hours and loving every moment.
Phoebe Ritter and Aidan Payne are high school sweethearts from the sweetly small town of Blessings, Georgia that were torn apart by a tragic event…… Years later Aidan has returned home and finds so much more than he bargained for. Highly entertaining and engaging read.
I really love this series and anything by Sharon Sala
This is Book 6 in the Blessings, George series. I have to say that this is the first book in the series that I’ve read, and it was so good. It can be read as a stand-alone with no problems. Phoebe and Aidan were high school sweethearts when some really bad things happened that tore them apart. Now Aidan’s grandfather has passed away and he comes back to town to settle his estate. He’s never forgotten Phoebe but the things that ripped them apart are still there between them. But life has a way of making unexpected things happen. The chemistry is still there between them and other things are popping up. This is such a good book that if you like a little suspense and a lot of sweet romance, then you really need to read this book. I don’t think Sharon Sala could ever write a bad book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.
Phoebe Ritter and Aiden Payne are high school sweethearts. They have sworn to always love each other. That was before the fire that destroyed Aiden’s family livelihood and even worse cost the life of Phoebe’s father. Aiden calls Phoebe after his father returns with the devastating news about the fire to offer condolences and to ask what he can do for her and her mother. He is shocked at her response. Her family thinks Aiden’s dad, George Payne set the fire to get the insurance money. Aiden asks her if she believes that and her response is that she doesn’t know. Aiden is very hurt and lashes out at Phoebe. The end result is that he tells her, “I don’t ever want to see your face again.” Shortly thereafter, following the death of Aiden’s mother from cancer and the shunning of Aiden and his father by the people in Blessings even though George Payne was cleared of any wrongdoing fairly quickly, Aiden and George leave Blessings.
Fast-forward twenty years. Aiden’s father has died five years previously and his grandfather, who remained in Blessings, has just passed away. Aiden now has to return to Blessings for the first time to settle his grandfather’s affairs. Aiden doesn’t want to go back but knows he has to. What a big surprise it is to find out he has a nineteen-year old son, Lee Ritter who is very happy to finally meet him and wants to have a relationship with him. What does this mean for his mom, Phoebe Ritter and his newly found dad?
Come Back To Me is author Sharon Sala’s sixth book in her Blessings, Georgia series. Once again this author brings to life the pros and cons of small town living, with the caring and generosity of the townspeople, but also with the prejudices of these same people. Her characters are so well-drawn and likeable in this story that their happiness and good times, as well as their trials and tribulations become real to the reader. In that sense this is a real page-turner as well as an emotional read. Sharon Sala is an excellent storyteller!
I invite you to sit back, relax, enter Blessings, Georgia and enjoy Phoebe and Aiden’s story.
The Blessings series is one of my favorites. Reading the story makes one feel like they are going home to a place, and the people they love.
I loved Phoebe and Aiden’s story. Of young love and all the possibilities yet to come! Then when tragedy strikes, each gets caught up in the drama expecting the other to understand. A tragedy, that inflicted more damage upon a family, already struggling with a terminally ill family member.
Aiden’s family was shunned and left Blessings to start a life somewhere fresh. Phoebe has tried to plead with Aiden that she was sorry, but Aiden’s raw emotions took precedence over his heart. Years later, Aiden returns to settle estate matters after his grandfather’s passing, and Phoebe decides that Aiden deserves to hear news from her, rather than the townspeople. The impact, which will change both Phoebe and Aiden’s life.
I would like to thank NetGalley via Sourcebooks Casablanca for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Come Back to Me, book six of Sharon Sala’s series set in Blessings, Georgia, is a story about second chances and the redeeming power of love, with characters that will tug at your emotions.
This installment revolves around Phoebe Ritter and Aidan Payne, high school sweethearts who were torn apart by tragedy. Phoebe’s father died in a fire that consumed the family’s bakery as well as the auto supply store owned by Aidan’s family. Accusations fly that Aidan’s father set the fire at his store for insurance money, as his wife is dying of cancer. Aidan’s father is cleared but is shunned by those who don’t believe him innocent after all the rumors started by Phoebe’s uncle. Their young love fractures and does not withstand the pressure from their respective families. Aidan moves away with his father after his mother passes away, leaving a devastated Phoebe alone and, unknown to Aidan, pregnant.
Phoebe remains in Blessings and, with the help of Aidan’s grandfather, raises her son, Lee. Aidan lives in New Orleans, where he is a successful restaurateur. He returns to Blessings after his grandfather’s death to take care of his estate and expects to find Phoebe married with a family. Instead, the family he finds is his. The whole town knows Lee is Aidan’s son, and Phoebe has been truthful with her son about his father. Phoebe promotes a relationship between Lee and his father, and Aidan soon realizes that Phoebe and Lee are his future.
Sala paints a vivid picture of small town life, where everyone knows your name and your business. The book is well-written and can be read as a stand alone; however, Sala continually refers to the many characters from the series. With so many characters to follow, Aidan and Phoebe’s story sometimes gets lost; however, it is well worth sticking with until the end.
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I love this town and characters that Sharon has brought to life. This story is a stand alone but you’ll want to go back and learn about all the others and their back stories. A second chance for two high school sweethearts that were torn apart in tragic circumstances. This was a sweet romance and yet a log of angst to get through, you will really want them to happen. Can the past tear them apart or is everything about to come full circle? I loved it and can’t wait for more.
While I love Aidan & Phoebe together and how he completely embraced his son, I did have just a teeny issue with how easily Aidan accepts how Lee’s existence was kept from him. Yes, they were young when everything went wrong but he wasn’t necessarily wrong with how he left town. Things were seriously bad for him & his dad and I really have no problem with them packing up and leaving without looking back. But really someone should have really let him know about his son before this.
Sala’s down-home writing is always a treat to read and everything else made up for any issues I had with how quickly Aidan got over his hurt. Once the two of them reconnect all of their past feelings come back and deepen even more. It’s sweet and heartwarming and, as always with Sala, a feel-good read that made me happy every page until the end.
If you love quirky small-town characters, a touching romance, and emotions galore, Sala is your girl!

This was a fantastic story of a love that survived tragedy, lies, and two decades apart. Phoebe and Aidan were high school sweethearts that had their world ripped apart on one tragic night. Phoebe’s father died in a fire that started in the auto parts store owned by Aidan’s father. Rumors started claiming Aidan’s father intentionally started the fire. Although he was quick proven innocent the small town of Blessing, GA was no longer a place Aidan’s family felt comfortable. They left town leaving behind a heartbroken Phoebe having to face a pregnancy alone. Now almost twenty years later Aidan returns to Blessing to discover he has a son he never knew about.
I loved the way this author crafted this story. The situation was handle with love and kindness. Not the angsty upheaval in other stories. I could feel the love between Aidan and Phoebe as well as Lee. This is a very well done book and these characters will steal your heart. I highly recommend this one.
The odds were never in their favor. One selfish act broke two young hearts and started a feud that left years of damage blowing in the wind. Nineteen years later one explosive secret could right the wrongs of the past or destroy any hope for the future. Come Back to Me is a tale of young love that spans many years and harbors a great deal of secrets. Aidan and Phoebe are victims of their own circumstance. From hidden agendas to heartbreaking betrayals and the potential for a second chance. Sala weaves a tale of intriguing mystique and heartbreaking delight. A new beginning that proved years in the making.
