“I kiss her until I can’t see straight. I consume her until she’s all I ever want to taste again. I can’t stop kissing her. …I’m taking pleasure in her and demolishing everything that tried to break us at the same time.”
Deeply emotional with tons of heartbreak for these characters!! As I was reading, I developed hope that they would overcome….absolutely loved all the romance and imagery surrounding this couple’s return to each other. It left me breathless and full of “FEELS”. I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

Okay, this is so hard to write. Let me explain. I think I would have loved this book even more if I had read it in its entirety. (Wait for it….) I’ve had it on my TBR since before it released and yet it took me years to finally get to it. My issue is I started to “read” it in audiobook format. I had a very difficult time with the narrators. I didn’t appreciate their style of reading, their emphasis, and their voices just refused to click for me. I broke down and “dusted off” the ebook. Found my exact last location and devoured the remaining 20%. So that being said, I really liked Come Back to Me, I think I would have had a better connection to the story had I not done the audiobook or made the switch sooner. (My need to finish the way I started definitely ruined my odds.)
What I can share is that Kathy Coopmans takes on an intensely emotional storyline. She gives hope and then yanks it back. Shame on her! I felt like a wrung out dishrag. The unforgettable and entirely unfortunate reason for all their pain will make you see red. I have a tendency to be vindictive in my own head, creating terrible things to revenge the ways I’ve been wronged. I had a field day with the true “villian” in this story. Nothing will change the outcome, but my wandering thoughts made me feel better.
Come Back To Me is not for the faint of heart. I think of it as an emotional pileup on the highway. It starts with the car you see swerving. You can see it. You know nothing good is going to happen. You change lanes all while watching the idiot in your periphery. Trying desperately to avoid being near them, you speed up or slow down so you can keep them as far away as necessary but you know…You just know there is NO WAY to stop it from happening. When it does, you’ve already braced for impact praying it doesn’t hurt as bad as you expect. Come Back To Me is the praying before the impact. You know it’s going to hurt, you just don’t know how bad. But because you kept your eyes open, you know 100% that even though it will hurt, you have plenty to look forward to. Enjoy the hurt knowing it’s only temporary and expect to end it on a smile!
Adrianna has lost everyone, husband, parents, sister then her final blow her grandmother. No famIly left. Her heart broken. How is she going to survive without them?
Blake, her husband shows up in her life. What has he been doing? Why did he fake his death? Can Adrianna ever forgive him when she finds out the truth?
This Story touches on how drugs and addiction can consume a person no matter how much help is given .
This story has strength, honesty, lies, anger, heartbreak, devastation, and rebuilding trust, love and forgiveness!
Lacy Laurel and Logan McAllister narration is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoy enjoyed listening to this story.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I liked this book. It was definitely heartbreaking. I honestly don’t know how Adrianna survived all the tragedies in her life. I don’t think most people would survive what she went through. I felt bad for both Adrianna and Blake. What they went through was horrible. I look forward to reading more by this author.
4 Star review Come Back To Me by Kathy Coopmans
Audio Review:
I’m not sure what to say about this book. How much pain, suffering, loss and death can someone take?
Adriana Jensen is a woman who has lost so much and is barely living life. Shattered by so much loss she doesn’t know how much more she can take.
Come Back To Me is a second chance at love story which at times really got to me. The pain and suffering experienced by Adriana was palpable as narrator Lacy Laurel read this story and my heart just about broke for her.
Blake on the other hand I could not connect with. I understood his reasons for leaving but after Adriana’s life spiralled down, he looked on from afar and did nothing, nothing. For someone who loves her so much, to do nothing doesn’t scream love to me and then suddenly he returns 4 years later.
There was certainly passion between Blake and Adriana but it wasn’t enough for me to like him. Logan McAllister did a great job as did Lacy Laurel.
I was frustrated by the repetitiveness throughout the story and it wore me down. However having said that it was an interesting story and I am glad I listened to it.

Come Back To Me is a second chance romance with a lie that comes back. After seeing the sexy cover and when I read the synopsis of this audiobook I knew I wanted to listen to this.
What I liked about this audiobook was the writing style as I enjoyed listening how going back to the past was done. The history with Adriana’s sister was the most engaging part of the narrative. I didn’t fall in love with the characters, and regards to Adriana I don’t know why. Blake’s personality wasn’t very likeable in my opinion. The narrative itself in theory was intriguing, however I didn’t fall in love with it. In the end, I didn’t love the story but I didn’t hate it either.
Narators Lacey Laurel and Logan McAllister did fantastic narrating this book. They have good chemistry together.
Audiobook Obsession
The plot while it seemed intriguing in the synopsis fell inadvertently off a cliff with a lot of repeated story feed and then you’d be thrusted into an abundance of happenings within what seemed to be 10 minutes of listening. Now I know the repetitiveness came from the fact that Blake and Adriana had a lot of mental conversation but it was also due to the fact that the story was told not in chronological order, so when you went back to a memory it seemed to play out until reaching the current time frame.
I didn’t particularly find myself liking either of our main characters. Blake was selfish in his actions and kind of bland. Nothing really stood out about his character that was like WOW what a man. And ad the male counterpart in a romance novel he should be the man I’d be swooning over.
Adriana just seemed to be a walking doormat. I mean literally everyone took their turn at twisting that knife further into her back. I’m surprised the woman can trust anyone at all. If they did it with good intention or bad intentions they still did it. She just seemed to deal with it, a little way to calmly. She had no fight and no backbone.
This is an overly filled drama induce second chance romance novel. I don’t think it was for me in the least bit.
Now I listened to this on audible and OH EM GEE…the audio was horrific. Not once, or twice but three times I was asked by my family why I was listening to a robot reading the book. And that was precisely how it sounded. It was agonizing for me listen to. I almost quite every time I turned it on. While Laurel reading was far better than McAllister. I don’t think I could do another audiobook with the pair reading as a duel.
Oh my days! Where do I start?!
This book has wrung me dry and I absolutely loved every minute of it! The story of Blake and Adriana is gut wrenchingly tragic but so beautiful at the same time. Adriana has been through so much tragedy, it would of buried a lesser person. Blake, in equal measures has been living half a life for the last few years and its time to take back all that they have lost.
I don’t want to give anything away so please, please, please go and one click this book!!
This book is going to stay with me for some time.
I honestly don’t even know what to say. This is the most emotional read from Kathy yet, at least out of what I have read of hers. There isn’t much to say without giving stuff away, so I will leave it at………. just read it! 🙂
4 Tattooed Stars!!!
Man, did Kathy do it to me again! Whenever I start a book by her my texts go unanswered, sleep never comes and hours seem like minutes. I read this in one afternoon thats how good it was.
Adriana lost her parents in a car accident when she was younger. Then she met Blake and her world changed. He was the tattooed lawyer who loved and worshipped her. Blake gave her everything she wanted and never said no. Including when it was about her older sister Alexis, who was badly addicted to drugs. But then one night Blake dies in an accident. Shortly after that her sister overdoses and a year after that her loving grandmother passed away. Her grandmother knew Adriana was barely holding on and not actually living. She was going through the motions. Her grandmother bought her a house far away from where she lost everybody she loved.
Blake fell in love with Adriana the minute he bumped into her. He was so in love with his wife. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her. That meant dealing with his evil, vindictive sister-in-law. He refused to tell Adriana about her sister bc he refused to break her heart. When something happens Blake doesn’t have to think twice about doing whats right. Until the person he loves the most is threatened. Blake has no choice but to fake his death. Thanks to Hunter the guy whose the closest to a father he has he’s been able to keep eyes on Adriana. Even though she thinks he’s dead, Blake has remained faithful to Adriana. Now that Adriana’s moved less then 5 minutes away from him he knows its time to get his wife back. He just hopes she’ll listen to everything he has to tell her.
Kathy wrote this beautifully. There was nothing missed or forgotten. The way she wrote both POV’s and the past and the present parts. Blake is legit in my top 10 favorite book boyfriends for 2017!
So, I finished this book a few days ago, and I have had to take that long to compose my thoughts on this book. My mind was blown away at this story. Not only by the unique concept behind it but because of the powerful emotions that just push through the pages to you. You literally get engulfed in the raw pain and emotions that Adriana go through. To feel that much pain and loss at such a young age. And what Blake had to do to keep her safe. My heart shattered into so many pieces when you find out every little detail.
I think what I really loved about this story is that not only is it in Coopmans’ amazing writing style, is that this story grips you right in the heart and in the mind right from the start. The snippets of what happened in the past to how it collided with the future was just wow. I am honestly still so blown away that I am at a loss for words. If you want a real amazing, thought provoking story, then Come Back to Me is your ticket to an awe inspiring tale that will knock your socks off.
Warning, this book needs to come with tissues! WHAT A FREAKING FANTASTIC EMOTIONAL READ!!!! My absolute favorite kind of book, especially since it was also a second chance at love romance.
Adriana is losing everyone she loves. But, when she lost her husband Blake, she crumbles. With the help of her grandmother, and her friends Heidi and Daniel, she moves to a new city, and starts her life over. It has been four longs years of agony since she lost Blake, it has finally started to turn around. Then the unthinkable happens, she finds out Blake is not dead. O! M! G! Watching Blake and Adriana rebuild the trust and the love, OMG, the tears were flowing so hard at some points, but I could not stop reading.
This book is Kathy Coopmans at her absolute best. She really knows how to yank on the readers’ heartstrings, and Come Back to Me is the proof.
I was gifted with a copy of this fabulously heart wrenching love story for my honest opinion. Well, if you have read this far, you know my opinion. YOU NEED TO BUY AND READ THIS PHENOMENAL EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER RIDE OF A BOOK!!!

Oh Man, this book absolutely gutted me. It was chock full of such heartbreak that I never thought I’d see the end but will the heartbreak really end for this couple??? She has lost so much in her life that the end never seems to come. Her parents, her husband of two years, her sister and then her grandmother. How much more can a woman take??
Kathy did such a wonderful job with this story. The fact that they are both so committed to one another even after all the time has passed. The fact that no matter how much he loves his wife he will do whatever it takes to protect her even at the cost of their souls shattering heartbreak.
This book is why Kathy Coopmans is an author that I will keep coming back to. I was absolutely hooked and had to know how this book was going to play out. Can she have a second chance at happiness? Will she be able to forgive? I highly recommend this book and hope that we will get to see more of this couple sometime.
