WOMEN HAVEN’T BEEN HIRED TO WORK IN MY BAR FOR A REASON: they’re too tempting and too distracting—too much of a liability—even if they are good for business… have completely given up on.I’ve already had my love and now that’s gone; there’s no need to try again. Even if love is staring me right in the face with a pair of deep brown eyes and no expectations.
WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT SHAW O’SULLIVAN?He’s rude, abrasive, sexy—and my boss. He’s also broken in ways I would never have seen if I hadn’t been looking. Which means he should be off limits; my heart and body cannot handle his baggage. I’m on a quest to find myself, and Shaw O’Sullivan will only get in my way and drag me down.
Where I’m light, he’s dark. We don’t mix and neither of us is looking for love, so what happens when it finds us anyway?

Come Again by Jiffy Kate is another great read from this author. I loved Avery and Shaw. Their journey will grip your heart. This book has all the feels and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book.
This book was truly amazing from start to finish!! Jiffy Kate is an incredible writer and knows how to engage her readers. This is a beautifully, emotional read that will give you many feels. Love, heart-break, tears, laughs and joy are just some of the many emotions you will feel while reading this story about Shaw and Avery. This New Orleans series is a must read!!
This wouldn’t of been on of my go to books, but glad I read it, the passion the angst, Shaw and Avery what more can you ask for. Jiffy Kate is going on my to watch author list.
OMG!!!! Amazing!!! Love!!! This book was awesome, love, Faith, tragedy, suspense, second chances, fate, etc. I want more of these characters!!! Please say there is more lol definitely recommend!!! Quick easy reading!!!! Shaw is my absolute fave!!!!
This book deserves more than 5 stars! I’m not usually a fan of characters with an age gap but I didn’t mind it at all with Avery and Shaw’s story. There’s just something about Shaw a big grumpy, emotionally damaged and tattooed man who finds a way to love again that I can’t get enough of. Not to mention the things that Avery had to go through with her ex and the fact that she turned her bad situation into something amazing and found love along the way. This is definitely a book I will read again!
What a gorgeous story! The characterisation is really great, with depth of character and an honest exploration of some quite heavy themes. Imagery is vividly painted, the main romantic thread is steamy and addictive, and the book fits in beautifully into the world Jiffy Kate has created. An absolute must read!
What a great story. So emotional. Loved how jiffy hits the emotional topics.
I loved this one! All of the New Orleans flavor and atmosphere makes me want to take a trip south. This book has lots of emotional things going on and I ugly cried more than once. It is such a good series. I can’t wait for the next book.
Some reviewers have said this story is cute or fun. It is neither. It’s not an unusual trope, but it’s very well done. The H (Shaw) is emotionally tortured and the h (Avery) is starting over, vulnerable but feisty. Avery is strong; Shaw has given up. Avery is 23; Shaw is 38. The story explores how each character travels their own individual path that eventually dovetails and leads to one another. They teach each other life lessons and about each other. Might they have learned those lessons on their own? Avery yes, Shaw maybe not, but them falling in love certainly speeds up the process. They are an unlikely pairing, but perfect for each other, and meant to be.
The story starts with a powerful prologue that sets the stage to perfection. It’s set in beautiful vibrant New Orleans. Nice descriptions and I felt like I was there where the locals live, not the touristy spots. I did miss any hints at the distinct accents that the characters might have had though. That would have added another layer of color.
There were multiple situations where emotions ran high. Jiffy & Kate don’t let you get bored, and they don’t pull any punches. The segment about Jeremy was really touching, and something that you don’t read about very much in romance stories, so bonus points for that and how it effected the dynamic of the H and h’s relationship. On the other hand, Shaw’s story is something that we see more often in romance stories but it was told really well and brought a tear to my eye. The emotions felt sincere and genuine. It wasn’t a bomb drop, but a slow revelation throughout the story. This helped so that you didn’t just hate him from the start, but wanted to understand him better.
After a particularly well written love scene, Shaw does something that made me mad for hours! It was beyond awful and I would have made him do penance for that for a very long time. I’d make him prove that would never happen again. It was that inexcusable. It echoes a little bit the struggle that Avery had with the boyfriend she left behind, except Shaw was redeemable and Brant was not. (Kudos to Jiffy Kate for the therapy. Not many romance novels include that or know how to do it without it being awkward.)
All in all, a great compelling read. Only other thing I could ask for would be another epilogue in order to fully see them settled into their new life together. So if you want a romance book that will take you on an emotional ride with characters that you can’t help but love, in a unique setting, this is a good one.
I enjoyed this book but there were some parts that were really slow. I’m hoping we get CeCe and Shep’s story. I’m completely intrigued and want to know what happened between those two.
Come Again
By Jiffy Kate
This was a story that was sad as it was happy. There were so many things that I could relate to in this story. I am a domestic violence survivor and once I got done I too left the safety of where I was to the great unknown. It was a wonderful story about how lucky a second chance at truly living life. I have always figured that a life without love just isn’t worth living.
Shaw is a broken man, after losing his wife. He knows that she was the love of his lifetime, he knows that it won’t happen again. Avery has just left a long-term relationship that ended in abuse. She decides to go somewhere new and different and ends up in New Orleans.
Walking into Come Again looking for a job was the best thing and the worst thing all at once. There is where the sparks fly and where things go from bad to good to bad. Everything comes to a head and things end happily.
On the whole, I think this book deserves a 5 out of 5 stars.

A book with just a little bit of every (taboo) tattooed, older, widowed, rough around the edges H (Shaw). Avery the younger running from the abusive ex h. I really liked the plot of a Shaw finding love again with the unexpected Avery. The story was interesting and satisfying to read. I wish it had been a bit faster paced at times but an over all enjoyable story.
Loved this book and it is a must read! Shaw and Avery have such a great story. Avery learns to stand up for herself and grow to be a strong individual. Furthermore, she pushed Shaw to become better person.
I’ve read a few Jiffy Kate books and really enjoyed them. After reading Blue Bayou, I knew that I needed to read Come Again. I just finished Come Again and I absolutely could not put it down. I can’t pinpoint any one specific thing, but this book hooked my soul! The tortured characters, the heroine’s strength, the love, the location….I loved it all! I hope this is not the last we hear of Shaw and Avery! I need a bonus epilogue or hope to see them in CeCe’s book (because I know there was a story there). Anyway, this book was such an unexpected surprise that definitely left me with a hangover!
