Really a good read. Page turner
Is kind of dramatic and so unreal not worthy of reading
I like that this novel was started by the man’s point of view. Made for fun reading
Great happy ever after book.
A feel good book
Great positive love story
“Colton” (nook version) is a short and sweet love story. I did not label it as a “tear-jerker” but it leans in that direction. Best part, it is a HEA. I hope to read the the next book in the series.
There were some grammatical or editing errors in the nook version which were a bit distracting. For example, in Chapter 30 Grace is reflecting that “she’d had had.” That equates to “she had had had.”
Still, a good book.
A nice story. Well written and thoroughly enjoyable. No sex or foul language. This book is a keeper for me (to be re-read again).
Brilliant start to an excellent series! I love small-town sweet romance and Olivia Sands has delivered perfection with her Kentucky Greene books!
The swearing was mild, but still threw me off since it’s my preference to not have any.
Loved the foreshadowing, the subtleties. Felt like I got to know the characters and the community as a whole was quite believable.
Freshly divorced, Grace moves from big city to small town to take a job at a prestigious local law firm. One of the local perks is her boss’ nephew, whom she keeps trying to steer clear of…except that she’s starting to believe in love at first sight.
Colton is almost too in tune for a man who’s apparently never had a serious relationship and flatly states that he doesn’t understand women. Personally, I couldn’t have fallen for him.
It’s clean on screen, despite her ex’s idiotic/insulting best efforts, and the characters do grow. At least, Grace does.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It held my interest from the beginning. I appreciate a nice clean romance with a good story.
A new to me Author. The storyline has potential, there is a large cast of characters, mostly brothers and sisters, so a treasure of future books. Much of this focused on misunderstandings and although, at the beginning of the book, the decision was made to talk about these, it really did not happen until the end of the story. If you are looking for a sweet romance, with a small amount of bite, this is your book.
Author Olivia Sands has stolen my heart and given it to Colton Green. Goodbye, everyone, I’m following my book boyfriend and moving to Elm Ridge, Kentucky!
Grace was brave to leave NYC the unknown of a small town and law firm in Kentucky. Bourbon maker Colton Green was a cool character. I thought the whole process and how his great grandmother got into the business was interesting. Grace seemed like she fit right into his uncle law firm and was great with mediation cases. But she kept pushing Colton away because she thought she couldn’t give him what he wanted when her two timing ex might have been the one with the problem. There were a lot of ups and downs and funny moments in this small town romance.
Great Beginning
Gracie took a job in Elm Ridge as an attorney after a divorce and needing to get away from Manhattan. Her boss has a large extended family and is invited her whole staff to the Memorial Day BBQ. Colton is Ashton’s nephew and runs the Bourbon business and is very interested in Gracie, can they make it work.
I absolutely loved this book. There was just something about the way it was written that just got to me. It gave me everything that I could hope for in a telling of a story. I hope to read more by this author. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
Lawyer Grace Baker just moved to Elm Ridge, KY. Recently divorced and ready for a quieter life than she had in NY Grace isn’t prepared to fall for her new bosses nephew Colton and she knows with her past he deserves so much more than she can give him. Yet, can she walk away from the feelings that are quickly developing?
Kentucky bourbon man Colton Green is part of a huge, loving family that have all mostly settled in Kentucky and he has no desire to ever leave. Meeting Grace has him seeing himself with his own big family some day. But he has to remind himself that she is a big city girl, and would she ever be able to settle in his small home town? Plus, she is so hot and cold he can’t figure out how she could fit into his life. When her past comes calling it seems obvious he won’t fit in hers.
Sweet and clean, this book was fun and entertaining. This author has an excellent way of winding a story that keeps you interested and wanting more. I can’t wait to read more of this series.
This was the first book I read by Olivia Sands and I just loved the story.
After the divorce, Grace Baker left New York and went to the small town of Elm Ridge to work at Ashton Green’s law firm, Colton’s uncle.
When Grace and Colton meet, the attraction between them is immediate and they begin to spend some time together, but when some misunderstoods happen, they end up moving away a bit.
At the same time, Grace has to deal with her ex-husband and the doubt if she will be contracted definitively by Ashton and if she’ll remain in Elm Ridge.
I loved the story and the characters. I’m already looking forward to read more about the other members of the Green family.
I highly recommend the reading.
This may be my first book by Olivia Sands, but it definitely won’t be my last. I loved the start to the Kentucky Green series and I can’t wait to read more. This series being set in my home state is just icing on the cake, lol. Colton and Grace meet and they are attracted to each other, but things aren’t what they seem. She thinks they’re getting close and he pulls back or he thinks they are and she pulls back. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say if you’re looking for a small town romance series with wonderful characters, then you will definitely love this new series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
