She’s all wrong for him. So why can’t he stop thinking about her?Colton Green knows exactly what he’s going to do with his life. He’ll run the Red Widow Bourbon factory—a business that’s been in his family for generations—build a beautiful home, marry a nice country girl, and start a family. Then he meets Grace Baker, and all his plans go out the window. She’s the last woman he should want: a … She’s the last woman he should want: a big-city lawyer who’s accepted a case against his best friend. There’s no reason to think she plans to stay in Elm Ridge, let alone that she wants to settle down with the likes of him. Still, he’s drawn to her like he’s never been to anyone.
Grace Baker is trying to put her life back together after the disastrous end of her marriage. She needs to heal, not fall headlong into a new relationship. Colton may be easy on the eyes, but the last thing she’s looking for is romance.
Besides, Grace knows she’s a bad bet all around. A close-knit family like the Greens is something she’s never experienced, and she doesn’t belong in their world … no matter how much it makes her heart yearn.
Can Colton put aside his preconceptions for the woman who just might be perfect for him? And can Grace let herself believe she’s worthy of real love?

Olivia Sands’ Colton makes me want to move to Elm Ridge, Kentucky and join in on one of the Green family bar-be-ques! Colton and Grace were the perfect couple, with instant attraction — yet a slow burn — as they fall in love steadily, but surely. This is small town sweet romance done right! The whole series is perfect for summer and vacations when you have time to sink in.
Southern charm meets big-city smarts in this opposites-attract small-town romance, perfectly delivered by Olivia Sands. If the other Green brothers are half as sweet and romantic as Colton, you won’t want to miss a single one.

This book was an okay read for me, I didn’t absolutely love it… However, I also didn’t dislike it. More importantly, I don’t regret reading this book at all. The book was cute and it had its sweet moments. I loved the relationships between Colton and his family as well as the small town community, it was what made it an okay read for me. However, somehow I just could not really connect to the characters on a deeper level. It made the book feel a little bit superficial to me. Even though this read wasn’t a perfect fit for me, it might be for you! I think it is a good book for anyone wanting to enjoy a light read during the summer heat.

I come from a small town. So I know just a *little* about the shift from a big city to small-town life. Beautifully written and touches about every string you can name. If you like clean but steamy scenes and HEA’s this is one!
Beginning starts well but becomes boring
fun quick read
Unrealistic
It’s totally predictable, but cute! The author shows the romantic angst from both sides.
I enjoyed it.
A book set in Kentucky! Near Lexington!! I’m home!!! Well, maybe not. The KY that is described in Colton isn’t all that accurate for what this part of KY is truly like. I mean, do we have a lot of bourbon distilleries? Sure. Horse farms? Yup. Only those horse farms are thoroughbred or standardbred farms and those farms certainly wouldn’t open up their farms for youth camps. Those animals are way too valuable! Oh, and they are called “farms,” not ranches, and they are not filled with cowboys. Now, do we have some youth camps? Yes, but the way the Green family’s businesses are described they are traditional distilleries and horse farms. There are other things, but those are the two most glaring.
Now, for the story between Colton and Grace…Grace is a newly divorced lawyer from Manhattan looking for a complete change to her life. Colton isn’t really looking for big changes, a relationship, or anything. They are instantly attracted when they meet, but their interactions are always very public and move slowly until the very end. There isn’t much build-up, just BAM! They have decided they are in love with one another. The characters are static and the story is about the same. All that said, it was OK. This book is more of a filler of time than one that you’re anxious to sit down with and absorb.
Well written book, it kept me riveted from start to finish.
A very enjoyable romance. Great characters. Wow! What a landlady. Ah, what a boss. Whoa… shocking Ex. All around two nice people falling in love. Plenty of hints for the stories of the rest of the Green clan.
A quick relaxing read with wonderful characters!
Great read! I plan to read all the books in this series
