Army Ranger Colton “Hawk” Hawkins has just been given a new set of orders: Find a wife.
Colton “Hawk” Hawkins is an ambitious Ranger in the United States Army and on track to follow in his father’s boot prints—become a decorated General. The only bump in the road? His Colonel’s shocking advice that in order to climb the next rung on the ladder in his military career, he needs to find a wife and … he needs to find a wife and settle down. With a looming deadline, and talk of a six-month tour on the horizon, Colton knows he has to act fast—if he has any chance at getting his promotion.
Karena Harper is stuck in a dead end job, with no prospects on the horizon, and feeling more trapped by the day. After watching her parent’s marriage implode in a messy divorce filled with scandal and fighting, she holds no hope for ever falling in love and getting married. When she sees Colton’s online ad for an instant wife, complete with the perks of financial security and the potential for adventure, she finds herself thinking it would be the perfect escape from her hum drum life in retail hell.
Neither Colton or Karena are looking for a fairy tale, but what happens when hearts get involved and the lines of the marriage contract start to blur?
Will they let their guard down long enough to fall in love? Or, will they decide the potential for heartbreak isn’t worth the risk?

more
The story moved a bit too fast for my tastes (not enough character development) but I saw this was technically a novella, so you can’t expect much more. Well written, fun…will look at other books in this series for sure.
Great read
People meet their truth love in many different ways. I love this story. Even when his friends wasn’t very encouraging about him wanting to marry his online girl so quickly he followed his feelings. In the end, they all saw that there was no need to worry. Nice story, lovely characters.
Internet Dating
Hawke is in the Army and looking for his next promotion but it doesn’t look good since he is single. Karina works as a personal shopper in Seattle but barely makes it on commissions. When she see the ad for internet dating. They connect on line, he’s in Georgia. Can it work.
leaves a few loose ends.
Colton: It was a great military romance. I loved how Colton tried another way to find a wife. I loved how Miles and Lucas teased him about it until they saw her in person and how happy Colton was when she was around. Loved the heat throughout the story! Fantastic writing!
ARC review For honest review This is very cute. Colton needs a bride and finds Kerala on line through a dating site. you will Loved it .
Omg!! Read it!!! One of the best I’ve read in a long while.. is definitely one I will add in print to my beautiful wall of treasured books:)
Short somewhat whimsical.
A book based on a guy placing an ad for a wife as it will help him get a promotion. You do wonder how it’s going to work out.
When I read that it was needed for a promotion I thought okay it’s going to be a marriage of convenience, it will be in name only. So to my surprise Colton wants a real marriage, supportive wife and mother of his children.
You place the ad and a girl answers it and you’ve taken a liking to her.
How do you tell your friends that your wanting to marry a girl you have just met.
I was pleasantly surprised I liked this story it wasn’t what I originally thought, he wanted to get to know Karena and to see if a real marriage could be happen.
Lots of talks with real and raw feelings lets them both know there’s chemistry there and it could possibly work.
I love it I thought it was a very sweet romantic story and I breezed through it because I couldn’t get enough.
I love HEA and no one deserved more than Colton and Karena.
It’s amazing what happens when you choose Love over Fear.
Loved the book
A storyline in outline, that failed to introduce more tension between the two leading characters alternating as portagonist; and depicted a relatively weak antagonist, without strength enough to introduce any impediment to the outcome other than a sentence or two about his displeasure.
I liked this book. It was enjoyable with all the twists and turns.
I loved this book!
