Bowen Merlin—yes, that’s his real name—accepts a position in the quaint town of Lancaster, New Hampshire, as the high school band director. He leaves New York City for the snowy countryside of New England just in time for the holidays. With class, homework, after-school activities, and a surprise Christmas concert to plan and rehearse, Bowen is plenty busy. And since he’s never had much luck with … with romance, factoring in time to find Mr. Right isn’t a priority.
Until he meets the proprietor of Snowy Ridge Apple Orchard, Felix Hansen. Suddenly, true love seems like a possibility for the first time in Bowen’s life. The two are a perfect match and fill the skipped beats of each other’s hearts. But as wonderful as Felix seems, he’s harboring old scars that could bring an end to their budding relationship after someone in town goes to great lengths to sabotage their careers.
If Bowen is to survive, he’ll need to lean on old friends and new, convince Felix he’s worth any hardship, and prove they can come out of the catastrophe stronger if they do so together.

This Christmas romance was sweet, super sexy, and entirely satisfying. Loved it!
I stumbled upon this book by accident snd am so glad I did. I can’t wait to go back and read the other Britney now too. This sweet and sexy Christmas story was adorable. I loved every interaction between Felix and Bowen. Sometimes people are just made for each other, fate, and that was the case with these two. I loved the side characters too, everyone from the kids in the music class to the teachers and friends. I also liked that the characters went against stereotypes which MM romance needs more of. A great, fun read.
I can’t even express just how much I loved this book! Bowen and Felix were made for each other, and I sighed at every interaction they had. This story had everything: humor, heroes who defied stereotypes, despicable villains, amazing friends, off the charts sex, and sweet sweet love. I will read this book over and over in the future. The author did a fantastic job providing an engrossing story with characters I never want to let go. I could not recommend this more wholeheartedly.
Bowen Merlin takes a teaching position in New Hampshire and uproots his life to the quaint, small town. It takes him about five minutes to run into Felix Hansen, literally. Each man sees what they crave in the other’s eyes, but it’s far from smooth sailing for the pair. Between Felix’s hesitation to even date, much less be in a relationship, the fact that his son, Allan, is a student of Bowen’s and some pigheaded town bigots, what could be a blossoming courtship just might go up in flames.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the writing was exceptional and the narration was stellar. Bo and Felix played off of each other perfectly and the story was the right balance of romance, intrigue and suspense. Boudreaux did such a good job giving each and every character their own voice in the story, but then, he always does. Definitely a must listen for those that enjoy quirky romances with a fresh, new storyline and relateable characters.

Bowen Merlin moves to a small town in New Hampshire in December to take a new job as a music teacher. He meets orchard owner Felix when he accidentally drops hot cider all over him.
When it comes to romance, people judge Bowen to be a certain way based on his appearance. But appearances can be deceiving. Bowen is dominant and wants to be in a relationship where he can take the lead, but he has had trouble finding the right guy. He pursues Felix and the attraction between them is strong. Inside the bedroom, they are so good it was enough to make my body feel like it had turned to jelly. Outside the bedroom, they are quickly falling in love with each other while I was falling in love with them.
This is a really good, solid romance full of great conversations, characters, and relationships. There is more to the story than the romantic relationship though. We spend time with Bowen while he makes a new life for himself in Lancaster, including seeing what a great teacher he is and see him making new friends.
I totally adored Color of Love. While it is a novel set at Christmas, it is a great book to read at any time of year.

I ADORE this author! I read her books because of her storytelling-and I get the bonus of MM romance-PERFECT. C.S. manages to find quirks that are unusual and make them integral to the story without overwhelming the plot. These two MCs are interesting and lovable-not sure who I adore more-Feliz or Bowen. Great Christmas story to lift your heart.
I discovered C.S. with her Snow & Winter Series (read that NOW!) and haven’t been let down by anything she writes. You go girl! Keep on Writing!
