All I had to do was track down our studio’s featured artist.
Check on him. Report back to the boss. Easy enough, right?
What I DIDN’T know beforehand was how cocky and arrogant he is.
And it didn’t help that he’s also insanely good looking.
But no matter what, I will remain professional.
There’s no way I’d get too close with a jerk like him anyways.
At least, that’s what I thought until that one … least, that’s what I thought until that one night.
How could I get so carried away?!
All I did was have one drink and let loose a bit.
Little did I know, he seemed to have some sort of grip over me.
I couldn’t help myself.
The way he exuded adventure and excitement… It had me yearning for more.
It was exactly what I’d been craving when I left my hometown.
That was when I knew I had to get it together.
I’d be crazy for losing my V-card to this guy!
Everything about him spelled danger and chaos.
Was my sister right? Maybe I never should have moved to NYC.
That decision could have easily been the best or worst one I’ve ever made.
Is it worth finding out?

What a fun, yet serious, opposites attract, romance.
Lighter reading to take me away on a quick journey through one artist, Derek Brighton, and his work. His art is sought after as much as himself since he doesn’t own a phone, disappears regularly, and doesn’t care how rude or snide he is to anyone. No accountability, attributed to the fact, he’s just a quirky, yet talented artist, not that maybe he’s avoiding something deeper.
A gallery showing he may not be able to meet contract on (on a napkin no less) is looming closer and he’s not taking it seriously, until he meets up with Fallon. She works at said gallery and is tasked with keeping him on task. How she goes about this is funny, determined, and with a nip to her normally sweet, undeterred self. She is stronger than she looks for sure.
These two have chemistry, and Derek realizes he may lose her if he doesn’t get himself straightened out. Fallon has finally just about given up on him since he’s disappeared on her now.
Love the dialogue of these two mains, they see below the surface. Touching on the issues, together there isn’t anything they can’t do.
It is a good feeling I had while reading. With a LoL HEA.
I received an ARC from the author through Booksprout, and am giving my honest opinion voluntarily
This is a three book collection. Color Me In about an artist and feisty girl who will make him tow the line. Unraveled by Him about taking a slightly shady job for money and having to be with the man who wronged her ten year ago. Unwrapping the Present the star and the bad boy she left behind. They all are about the women and the thought of losing their V-Card. The characters are all warm and witty. All the stories are just so entertaining I could not put this down.

Derek, artist, is determined to live his life unencumbered by any expectations others may try to put on him. Fallon works at the gallery that is going to show his work. When she is ordered, by her boss, to make sure that Derek fulfills his agreement with the gallery, she almost becomes a stalker as she tries to get him under control.

Color Me In is an enemies to lovers novel about two diametrically opposite people, Fallon and Derek, who could not be any different but find a pathway to love. This interesting novel has unique character point of view and a plot with secrets, misunderstandings, tenderness, and a wonderful romance.

I really enjoyed this book but felt that it wasn’t fleshed out enough. Characters had issues but didn’t seem to have enough depth. I would still read more from the author.
An entertaining, fast pace, fun, and intriguing read! It is well-developed, well written, well thought out, emotionally deep, engaging, and intriguing with drama, twists, and ups and downs. The characters are likeable and perfect for each other; the chemistry between them is undeniable. Definitely recommended!

I enjoyed reading this story. A deeply emotional, intense story of redemption and healing! This is a new author for me. I enjoyed the story. I’m looking forward to reading her other books. I love enemy to lovers romance.
Opposites attract, and never more so has this theory been tested as it is with Fallon and Derek.
They are from two different sides of the track in so many ways. He is raised in a home with no money and no love shown to him at all, in fact it is a miracle that he is able to escape that life. She is from the side that knows money and love, however, that love comes with parents who dictate how her life should be in order to be happy.
Fallon has gone to school in the study of arts, which is a disappointment to her parents. She has further disappointed them by moving to the big city in another state, renting an apartment, and working for a small art gallery. She may not be wealthy but she is doing this, on her own, and happy. She follows the rules, is straightlaced, and basically is invisible to most.
Derek has started out in life with nothing, and has risen above that to make his mark with his paintings. The rise to fame has come with quite a cost, no real friends, drinking too much, and total disregard for the rules. He has become a mixture of recluse, rule breaker, party to hard and drink too much kind of guy, which is just who he wants to be. His secrets haunt him, and drinking is the way to keep them hidden. The problem is when he drinks he says things and does things that appear when his stupor wears off, and he is learning about his latest folly.
Her boss, the art gallery owner, has a showing of the paintings that were promised by this artist, but no paintings. Fallon is sent to Derek’s apartment, as this is the only way to actually get a hold of him. Derek is not happy to be startled awake after another night burying ghosts, he has a guest. One that no matter what he attempts, and there is a lot of side stepping from him, he can not seem to get rid of her, she becomes his shadow. It seems while trying to lose her, Derek finds that he is drawn to Fallon instead. She doesn’t judge him, but she seems to challenge him, he seems to want to be something more. He challenges her to step outside of her rigid rules, and she meets that challenge as well.
The ghosts from deep inside him are still there, but when he is with her, he is more at peace. Derek and Fallon don’t realize it, but little by little they get closer, he opens up and shares what haunts him, which leads to the passion. Derek is inspired, and paints. The best of intentions usually lead to miscommunications, and miscommunications lead to hurt. It takes a small reminder, which leads to inspiration driven apologies and forgiveness. It also leads to the bigger and better surprise and a very happy ever after.
The Shades of Love
As we move from childhood to adulthood, we come to realize that, for good or bad, we have been shaped by all of the people, experiences and choices encountered. We are a product of those impactful forces. But life does not always offer gentle or kind experiences, and as a result, we often bear emotional and psychological scars that, at times, prevent the individual from maturing as a healthy and whole adult. Crystal Faye’s newest romance develops as two young lovers find healing in shared love as they attempt to come to terms with their past experiences, both harsh and benign.
Fallon Price leaves her home and family to seek her future. She refuses to yield to the examples that are demonstrated by her parents and sister to set aside dreams of adventure for a safe pathway. So, with her BA in Art Design, Fallon presents herself at Westwood and Pine Gallery, a newly opened gallery in New York City, which has already gained notice for its eclectic collections and unknown artists. And, amazingly, she is offered a position. Her first assignment is to locate and babysit the recently signed talent, Derek Brighton, an undisciplined but gifted Bohemian artist. His contract with W & P, written on a napkin, was signed after the artist’s first showing sold out completely in less than one day. Now, to keep her newly acquired job, Fallon needs to ferret out the artist and guarantee that he is going to be able to deliver 20 paintings by the appointed date which is only a month away.
As Fallon begins her search for the errant artist Derek, she must face not only her fears of failing in her quest to find her own pathway in life, but she must also help the brilliant but troubled artist manage his art and his darker impulses which have become an escape from the memories of his past. As the two interact, they discover that the best weapon in assisting each other’s attempt to escape familial expectations is the love that grows between them.
Crystal Faye’s romance explores the evolution of love mingled with the challenges of an individual facing the daily battles of personal fears and limitations resulting from those fears. The struggles of Fallon to gain her self-confidence and to claim her own life goals, dreams and loves is a tender story as the lovers find strength through each other. I enjoyed the souls of the two main characters, but the evolution of stranger to lover is only one month. I would have enjoyed a fuller development of the relationship as they learn to accept their individual weaknesses through the strengthening and supportive powers of love.
I received this book as an ARC reviewer, but I bought the novel as a reader who will enjoy having it in my personal library, but I bought the novel as a reader who will enjoy having it in my personal library.
This book was very satisfying. I would rate this book beyond five stars. Derek and Fallon were fantastic characters. This was an enemies to lovers romance. Fallon worked for Westwood and Pine Gallery in NYC. A few months before starting, the gallery had put a new artist on the map, Derek Brighton. The gallery had a total of four paintings by Derek and a bidding war started and the paintings sold for twice their worth. The gallery owner approached Derek about an upcoming showing just displaying his work requesting twenty paintings. Derek accepted the terms. Derek was a typical artist type…arrogant, a total party boy and he displayed little respect for others. After days went by without a sight or word from Derek, Fallon’s boss sent her on a hunt to find him and find out how many paintings were completed. Fallon shadowed Derek for several days and could attest to his moods and just how much of a jerk he was. However, it wasn’t long before Derek and Fallon crossed an invisable line and had sex. Fallon was a virgin and told Derek as much. But Derek had alot of darkness surrounding him. Could he build on a relationship with Fallon when he could hardly take care of himself? This book is a must read and I highly recommend.
Derek had a hard life growing up. A house with no love, money or future but he managed to get out of there. His painting gave him the fame and money he needs to sustain life . He was still an empty shell inside. Derek did things his way regardless of the consequences. Fallon had it all, but there was a drawback to it. Having parents with the money, house and love she had her life dictated to her. Go to school, college, get a good job and etc…. Fallon was a goody two shoe. Follow the rules, do not jaywalk, the whole nine yards. You probably want to escape that life. Take a walk on the wild side. She became a disappointment to her parents when she wanted to grow up and make her own decisions. Derek is suppose to have a showing at the art gallery that Fallon works at. Her boss can not get a hold of Derek, he send Fallon to find him and see how many paintings he has done. Their feelings in the beginning reminded me of puppy love. Derek suffered a loss, did he have his art show, was he ever rich, did they get together? You will have to read the book to find out. You will not be disappointed either.

Derek Brighton is an artist whose works are highly prized and the Westwood and Pine Gallery is planning showing of his paintings. Collectors are so desperate to possess one that bidding wars generally break out, driving the prices way up. Fallon started her job at W&P a month ago, a big break that allowed her to move out of Connecticut to start a new life in New York. Although her family is warm and loving, they’ve set a path for her future that she just doesn’t want. Derek is a troubled soul whose past is filled with sadness and abandonment issues. His brother, Jared, died after being sick for four years and, after his death, his family fell apart. His parents had no love to give him because they were too wrapped up in their own grief. Derek’s life became a series of missteps and poor choices as he tried anything to distract himself from his grief, sorrow and anger. Drinking, partying, having strangers in his house at all times of the day, anything but going into the studio to paint. Now In order to make sure that Derek’s paintings are done and delivered to the gallery for the showing, The gallery owner, Richmond Hayes, sends Fallon on a mission to find Derek and make sure that he gets into the studio and finish the paintings he owes them. Derek is shocked at this feisty woman who doesn’t give up on him and he starts to let her into his life. As they spend time together, they both open up and share what they see as their successes and failures. Going from a place of distrust to one of understanding is a sweet and witty journey. Their happy ending is made happier by the clever and touching epilogue.
The story of Fallon and Derek has a unique story line. Derek is an uprising artist however he is mess. He has no schedule, direction or a care in the world in spite of financial issues and upcoming deadlines. Fallon is a strong, driven, and a little naive young woman who was asked by her boss to make sure Derek gets his paintings in time before the exhibit. The fun begins where both of them start off as enemies. Fallon works very hard to stalk Derek and makes sure he follows through. Derek fights her throughout the book. This book is funny, has lots of angst, and is unpredictable. I read this book in a little over a day and I want more!

Derek & Fallon’s story was super sweet and I was hooked from the beginning. Derek is an artist who is hiding behind his art to keep from dealing with his past. He is also on the verge on losing everything! Fallon has left her hometown because she doesn’t want to settle for the life her parents & sister have. She has graduated with a degree in art & she finds a job at an art gallery. This is how she meets Derek. Derek has promised to do a certain number of paintings to the gallery Fallon is working at but he hasn’t delivered any of the paintings yet, so she is to find him and see what the problem is. When Fallon arrives at Derek’s door, he realizes she’s full of spunk and isn’t going to go away until he does the paintings. She finds him with the I don’t care attitude but as she follows him around, she knows there’s more to him than meets the eye. The storyline was good and loved how Crystal delivers it with tenderness and caring.

Color me in is a hot and steamy enemies to lovers romance. This was the first book I have read by this author. The characters were very relatable. The chemistry was off the charts. I will be reading more of this authors books for sure.

Four and a half stars. I didn’t think of this as an enemy- to- lovers romance but I definitely enjoyed it. I was hooked from the beginning. Fallon and Derek do not hit it off but there is an attraction between them. There are some cute/funny scenes as she follows him around New York City. The characters are surprisingly sophisticated for such a short book. This was a great way to spend an evening.

Great read, a must have for your library collection…
Crystal Faye has written a 5-star book that slowly brings Fallon and Derek together. Fallon has been told by her boss Richmond Hayes at the Westwood and Pine Gallery to go and get information on the painting from Derek Brighton for the showing they are having for him. Fallon waits for him at his studio and the first meeting doesn’t go well. She goes back to Richmond and tells him that Derek would not tell her anything. He tells her to go back and get the information. She goes back the next day and tells Derek that she is going to shadow him until she has the information. Derek takes her all over town but he never goes to his studio at all, Then something happens and Fallon becomes his muse and he goes to his studio and starts to paint. Fallon ends up staying with him at his studio at night while he paints. Unknow to Fallon, Derek put her in some of his paintings. The more time they spend together the closer they get and they start to have feelings for each other. Fallon helps Derek with his grief over his brother’s death. The night of the showing, Derek finally tells Fallon how he feels about her and she tells him hers.
Will Fallon and Derek get the ending they want?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

What can you do when you have a MIA Artist? You go looking for him! Derek is a free spirited soul. Party is his lifestyle, bills is never thought about, just piling up on the table. Strangers in his house eating his food, people sleeping over he don’t know.
He has an obligation to paint for the art gallery owner that Fallon works at and when her boss can’t get him on the phone, he needs info on haw many and there sizes so he can arrange the gallery, he’s worried and he needs to find him and send Fallon to his apartment.
This will start this couple, her being his reminder to get to working on his painting, to explore his demons. Opposite attraction & fire works! The inspiration will begin!
