My job is to secure a Formula 1 contract deal while avoiding bad press. I didn’t foresee Sophie Mitchell threatening my plans, tempting me to corrupt her, one naughty bucket list item at a time. For her reputation and mine, I should stay away, but I can’t deny the pull I have toward her. What happens when our teasing turns into more? Sophie started a game she can’t win, and damn if my victory … and damn if my victory won’t be the sweetest one yet.
Creating a naughty bucket list gains Liam Zander’s attention, solidifying a destined-for-failure friendship.
He draws me in with his seductive promises, hidden persona, and unattainable heart. I broke my biggest rule, unwillingly adding a new item to my list while shattering my heart–and friendship–in the process.
Our love story isn’t written in the stars. How can it be when Liam is a black hole, sucking me in and leaving nothing behind?
Collided is a standalone romance packed with action, steam, and banter.

At this point, I think I’m obsessed with anything written by Lauren. She writes perfectly complex stories with a side of humour and heartwarming moments that actually leave tears in my eyes. I really liked Liam and Sophie despite my initial reservations about Sophie in Throttled. I feel like this book carried the friends-to-lovers and friends-with-benefits trope amazingly, and the way the characters’ feelings were explored is actually my favourite part. Liam and Sophie had explosive chemistry from the start, and their relationship unfolded beautifully albeit frustratingly as the both of them discovered their feelings.
I adore the family dynamics in this book and the healthy relationships between parents and children. It was the most amazing thing to read besides Liam and Sophie of course, and I can not wait to read others in this series!
If you read my review of „Throttled” you know, that I am in love in „Dirty Air” series written by Lauren Asher.
I am in love in Formula 1 too, so these books hit me straight in the heart.
In „Collided” we meet Sophie and Liam. As you remember (or not) we met Liam in the previous book. Now, he is a one of main heroes and he is my new boyfriend.
Wait… Noah is mine too. #sorrynotsorry
„Collided” is a slow burn AF book! I wasn’t prepared for this, what Lauren Asher gives us in the second instalment of her series.
Sophie is a a perfect type for a book friend. She is better than Maya, but I love Maya too. Sophie is more extensive like a hero and I really like that she take her responsibilites on her.
Liam Zander… I can say about this guy so many things, but I think that you must meet them by yourself to see which are he.
Lauren Asher once again kidnapped me in her story. I was crying in the first chapters and I was laughing in the half of „Collided”. This is the better version of „Romeo and Julia”, because we are in F1 world.
„Collided” is my new obsession. Of course „Throttled” too!
Can’t wait for the next book in this series, but for now I am thinking about reread both of these stories. It is a simple thing with me – give me book with F1 and I am yours. Literally.
And of course I am waiting for Jax book!
Tip on future when you will read „Collided” – read extended epilogue! This is sooooo good!
4.25 STARS
“She’s my star in the dark sky, shining bright and guiding me back from the shadows.”
Strangers to best friends to lovers trope I love you!
Since their first interaction, I was so sure that Liam and Sophie would be a thing, and I kinda freaked out when I found out the second book was about them.
Sophie Mitchell is the exact kind of sunshine girl I like—she cares more for others than for herself, she is funny, the shirts with phrases are the coolest and she is very unique, but she’s also sassy and knows exactly what she wants (and she kinda reminds me of Daisy Calloway, aka my best and favorite girl ever, so I felt so freaking connected and in love with her). And Liam, I think I should be glad he isn’t real because he’d be the one for me and crying over a real man is worse than crying over a fictional one. I liked his story, his development, his personality, how protective he can be with people he cares about, and (don’t judge me for that) he’s not only a reader, but a Pokémon Go player. I just know I fall for him very, very easily.
About the couple, I am obsessed with them. The way Lauren worked with their easy interactions and with their very present and obvious chemistry was amazing, and it was lovely to see how they went to be friends to fall in love with each other. I think it was easy to identify the moment they realize they’re in love, and this is something I absolutely adore when reading books.
And last but not least, I can’t not mention the epilogue and the extended epilogue. I feel so fulfilled and empty at the same time, just because I love them so absolutely freaking much.
This book is beautifully written. The chapters in the beginning with Johanna dying broke me. I felt so bad for Liam and how lonely he had become. That’s when Sophie re enters in his life. Sophie comes off as a really strong character who absolutely doesn’t take shit from no one. I love how she’s not shown as a fragile girl who fell for Liam straight away. The fuck it list was an amazing addition to the book, especially Liam’s in the end. I loved how these 2 were endgame. Loved how Sophie made Liam love his nieces again without the pain and regret of losing his bestfriend and for seeing them as more. The extended epilogue was again my favorite part honestly. I love how Liam loves Sophie the same way, even though 14 years have passed, without a thing changing between these 2. Although these 2 might not be my favorite couple from the Dirty Air series, they sure are one hell of a couple, staying goofy and adorable throughout
After reading a few bits and pieces of Sophie and Liam’s story in Throttled, I was super pumped to start this book.
Friends to lovers
A bucket list
And the awesome world of F1 racing
This book had this all packed in an exciting and hot package.
Liam and Sophie’s chemistry was fiery from the very start. The constant push and pull between them kept things interesting. Their friendship was so heartwarming and their love was totally explosive.
I could see the improvement in Lauren’s writing, with this just being her 2nd book only. I always love how author’s learn from their mistakes and improve on their work. There is so much potential in her. I am already such a huge fan of her’s.
I smiled so much while reading about Liam and Sophie’s story in “Collided”. I loved the concept of this book and how the chase between the two characters played out.
Sophie is sweet, intelligent, and has a wild side that she is ready to explore.
Liam is friendly, funny, and will not take no for an answer when pursuing Sophie.
This was my first time reading a friends-to-lovers book, and I loved it!
The second book of Lauren Asher…. and dannnnnnnnnnnng girl! Lauren’s growth as an author is amazing. She listened to insights from readers and her team. You can tell she cares about those who read her stories. This story was a delight, a swoon, a fanning oneself read.
Sophie is strong, smart, hilarious, sassy, and completely herself.
Liam is a bit lost, but is thoughtful, witty, so sexy.
These two create fireworks. They learn what is important to fight for. They learn about love. They learn about being selfless. All the while we swoon over their moments together.
Lauren has opened the door to A-1 racing and devilishly handsome men who compete in it.
I can not wait to see what is in store for these men and the women who will flip their worlds upside down.
I really loved this book I loved the story of Sophie and Liam. Sophie is a girl that needs to always plan ahead and follow the rules she implements while Liam is a book nerd who also has rules but he loves to break them. They make the perfect combination and I’m so glad that they ended up together and that Liam came to his senses about love . Totally recommend this book and Lauren I might need that book about the kids
This is a beautiful story about friendship, breaking out of expectations, finding yourself, and learning to love. Asher wrote a wonderful story that focuses on what happens when you leave expecations at the door, and learn to enjoy everything life has to give you in the most unexpected ways.
This book gave me everything Iam looking for in a sweet romance along with fast cars. Liam and Sophie meet when she is young, and again when she is almost out of school. He is the hottest formula 1 racer, and she is the daughter of the chief of one of his biggest rivals. Together this two manage to fall together into a slow easy love that builds on a great friendship. I can’t wait to see what Asher has waiting for us as she continues to build this racing series.
Collided ploughed into my heart and lets be honest here, my fantasies. This book was humorous, engrossing and so very titillating. I was intrigued by Liam in Throttled and finally getting inside his head was… compelling.
Friends with benefits stories aren’t usually my thing but I was hooked on this book and that’s mainly because of Sophie. She was incredibly hilarious and constantly had me laughing with the ridiculous things that came out of her mouth. She was witty and entirely herself with her F*ck it list. I think I need one of those because Sophie’s list was daring and dirty. I loved seeing her salacious side come forth. She portrayed this innocent good girl but she had this naughty side that only Liam got to see and experience. Their sexy times was just… I can’t even describe it. They were also horny and in need of each other although they Sophie did try her best to deny the chemistry between them. Liam is not one for feelings so she was safeguarding her heart but Liam wore her down and captured her heart. She got to see the side he kept hidden from most people and they were both so goofy together. They truly were best friends.
I did get frustrated with Liam so many times for not realizing how he truly felt and hurting Sophie but who can remain angry at him. He has this way of winning you over without really trying but for Sophie he did try and ultimately showed her that she was his everything!
I loved Sophie’s relationship with practically everyone but the best was her dialogue. This girl is witty and hilarious–as I previously stated–AF!
I did miss Santi a helluva lot in this book. I can’t wait for more to come in the Dirty Air Series. Lauren blows me away with her writing. It’s so absorbing!
4.5
I fell in love more and more with F1 racers because of Lauren Asher! This is no ordinary sports romance, it’s unlike what I’ve read before. Totally recommend both books in the series! It’s worth the read and you’ll not regret it.
Liam and Sophie had an immediate chemistry from the second they met. They instantly had a connection and felt it. But Sophie knows his reputation and tried to resist him. When he found out about her fuck-it list, he offered (more like demand) to help her cross all of the items on the list. The more they spend their time together, the more they’re attracted to each other. But they know they have expiration date. What happened when they need to separate their ways?
Collided literally captivated you right from the beginning, I could not put this book down.
Liam Zander is a Formula One driver who’s past antics and time in the tabloids have caught up with him and leaves hm with a bad reputation. Now he must try and shape up as he needs either a contraction extension with McCoy or a contract with a new team. He is one of the most successful racers but he must prove that off the track he can be counted on not to tarnish any team.
Sophie Mitchell’s father, James, manages the successful Bandini racing team and he has let Sophie tag along with him in between her school semesters. She quickly forms a friendship with Maya, one of the driver’s sisters, and Sophie decides that this is the summer she is going to live a little and goes about creating a list of things she wants to accomplish over the summer.
When Liam gets a hold of Sophie’s list he wants to do several of the items with her but his reputation precedes him and Sophie relegates him to “friend” status. Soon the two find themselves with a strong friendship but Liam wants more.
Can Liam convince Sophie that love is worth the risk but what will the cost be if the media gets a glimpse into their friendship with their allegiances to two separate racing teams?
This was a great book that I enjoyed from start to finish.
I really liked Liam and understood why he was so frustrated about his reputation and the things that were said about him in the press. I hated how much it destroyed him with what happened to Johanna and how much that changed him. I thought he was a good friend to those closest to him but he also had a wall up and never let many people get close to him because of Johanna.
Sophie was sheltered for much of her life and also wanted to do what made her dad proud as he had been a single father to her and he did so much for her. She was following his recommendations for school and he was extremely protective of her and didn’t want her getting mixed up in any racing drama while she was with him.
There was so much chemistry between Sophie and Liam but Sophie knew all about what the press said about Liam and she knew he would break her heart if she allowed him the chance. That being said she also loved hanging out with him and getting to see a side of him that not many others got to see. I loved how they each pushed each other and were there for each other when needed. I wondered when things would change between them given that they had so much chemistry. I knew things were going to be intense and I wondered if they would be able to successfully navigate the terms that they each laid out at a certain point.
I hated how Liam was treated by his agent, Rick, and by the boss of his team, Peter, even when he was providing them with wins. I was shocked at the lack of offers that Liam was being given with all of his wins.
At a certain point when Sophie learns something I knew things were not going to end well and I was heartbroken for everyone involved. The stuff that was said was so sad and I knew why Liam was struggling with allowing someone else into his heart. I was glad that Liam’s brother Lukas was there for him and I was surprised and happy at someone else who came through for Liam and provided him with some key information!
The end was awesome and I was so happy when Liam was truly able to show Sophie how much he cared about her and what he was able to do for himself professionally!
The epilogues were all awesome and it would be great to have a 2nd generation of books!!

Hot Dang Lauren Asher has made me want to be into racing especially with sexy drivers like Liam Zander in it. In Throttle we see a little bit about Liam and Sophie story and boy am I excited when I got a chance to review this book. Right away readers will fall for Liam’s vulnerability like I did, seeing his loss just makes you want to hug him and more. Then we have Sophie, strong, beautiful and one smart lady when it comes to Liam’s charms. Have to say I would have caved right away when it comes to him, Lauren Asher sure created him with tons of charm and sexiness. What I loved the most is that it’s not just about sex between them but a friendship he never expected and seeing him question everything shows how into he is with Sophie. Not only do we see their love grow but man the racing scenes when he’s on the racetrack is hot all the adrenaline and excitement just wow. All in all this is a great sequel and cannot wait to see what Lauren Asher does next with Jax in this racing world. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Lauren Asher won me over with Throttled and continued to hold me hostage with Collided. Liam and Sophie’s book was a fantastic read. The Dirty Air world is amazing.
Sophie is strong, and sassy, and so darn funny. I love her good girl with a wild side. Liam is sexy, broody, and lost. Liam just made me want to hug him. These two took me on a ride, and even though I knew it was coming I absolutely was not prepared. Liam and Sophie made me feel so many different emotions. Lauren Asher has the ability to make you feel what each of the characters are feeling and form this connection to them.
Collided was a fantastic read. Asher had me hooked with this hilarious and addicting read. She had me needing more of Liam and Sophie and never wanting them to end. Lauren Asher has made me need to watch F1 racing and see what it’s about. Asher delivers a hilarious, addicting, steamy book that just showcases her amazing writing. All the stars for Asher and Collided.
Collided is book two in the Dirty Air series. It can be read as a standalone. I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize there was a previous book until I got to the end and it said we could read Noah and Maya’s story in book one, Throttled. I’m definitely going read that one at some point. Liam is a race-car driver. In this first Chapter I felt so bad for him. Then Chapter two starts in the present. Liam didn’t deal with things very well and is behaving badly. He has many layers and is really a pretty ok guy. Sophie has met Liam 3 years ago and now there paths cross again. She has a list of things she wants to do and Liam wants to help her. Getting involved with Sophie is probably not a good idea for Liam’s reputation but he can’t help himself. These two work well together and have great chemistry. They have good banter that makes this one a fun read.
Collided is book 2 in the Dirty Air series by Lauren Asher and follows Liam and Sophie’s story.
The story started of so great with an unexpected event that happens that explains early on why Liam is the way he is with his ‘relationships’ never getting to close to to girls in the past and only entering physical relationships. The story broke my heart before it even really begun and had so much potential but somewhere along the way I lost a lot of that emotion and heartache. It was still present here and there but I don’t feel it was delved into as much as I would’ve liked especially where Liam’s family was concerned. They were my favourite part of the story and I would’ve loved more of them.
Liam & Sophie had such a beautiful and precious friendship but again sadly I just could not connect to them on a deeper level past just the physical attraction. I loved Sophie & Liam separately but the emotional side of it was lost on me and I tried really hard to connect to them but I just didn’t. This could very well be a ‘it’s me not you’ thing as I do think other will enjoy this story.
There was one part in the story where Liam’s reaction bothered me a lot. I get he was upset and hurt with his past but this didn’t help with me trying to connect to the pair especially with the amount of times he refused to accept how serious their relationship really was.
Certain parts of the story felt longer than necessary and it did run along side the same timeline as Noah and Maya’s story so it was fun to see how both stories fit smoothly between each book. It was still a good story and had such a cute and fun premise that I feel many would enjoy.
If you enjoy a slow burn romance this is the book for you. A friends to lovers story that moves slowly, full of sexual tension and chemistry.
This is the story of Liam, a high performing F1 driver and Sophie, daughter of another teams principal. They build a tight friendship over a f*#k it list, which turns into more. He is a playboy, hiding from the real world, and she is returning to college. Can what they have become more than friends? Can Liam really accept love?
I am going back to read Throttled, book 1 in the series, and eagerly waiting for the next book. Can be read is a standalone, or if you know nothing about F1.
Absolutely LOVED this book!!!
Friends to lovers is my favourite trope and this hit all of the spots for me.
From Liam’s one liners to Sophie’s t-shirts. From Sophie’s relationship with her dad to Liam’s parents. The friendship between Sophie and Maya, the relationship of the team (Liam & Jax), their shared geekiness, Liam’s love of reading, Sophie’s love of sneakers….I could go on.
I cried, I laughed, I fanned my face because….. holy freakin’ hotness! I laughed and cried again.
Excellent story!
Can’t wait for the next book.
I received an advance reader copy for an honest review.
Rate: 5 / 5 stars
It felt like I waited years for Liam and Sophie’s book but every single one of those years was completely worth it. These two were epic characters than I immediately feel in love with.
Lauren sure knows how to make me fall in love with ther words and characters. She writes amazing banter, explosive chemistry and the best, funnest characters and awesome friendships. These boys of the F1 world are slowly stealing over my whole heart. I’m already so excited for Jax’s book, specially with the hints we got and then Santi, he already stole the show in Throttled so I cannot wait to see him shine in his own book and I’m dying to know who his lady will be!
I cannot even get into words how much I loved both Liam and Sophie man. These two were amazing. I loved them individually, as friends, as more, as everything!! Their story was so fun, a little angsty and emotional at times too. I lived for their banter and them (mainly Sophie) trying to fight off their chemistry.
I adored that Liam helped her with the bucket list, dared her to be brave and to try new things all the time, dared her to add stuff that wasn’t on the list… gah I just freaking loved Liam so hard!!! And Sophie made him see that there was something missing in his life and that he needed to work through his issues, specially over the trauma in his past that had him swearing off relationships and love. She helped him through it all and was a great friend to him too. I just love friends to lovers romances… getting to see them build that strong foundation of friendship, support and love is just amazing to me.
Lauren Asher proved once again that she is an amazing writer, and solidified herself has one of my auto-buy authors. Not only that but I already know that this series will be added to my all time fav sports romance series list!Cuz let’s be real I already love these 4 boys and I know those last two books will be just as amazing has the first two…and c’mon she saved the best for last with Santi ehe.
Formula 1 Drivers are the new Rock Stars of romance.
Seriously, are Racing Drivers even a trope in Contemporary Romance? Because if it is, I’m way past fashionably late to the party, but no worries, because I’m here now! In fact, as someone who loves motor racing, I think they’re my new jam!
Rock Star reads have long been my favourite, but they can move over because this young F1 driver and his peers as written by Author Lauren Asher definitely carry their own in Alpha-arseholery and model handsome gorgeous looks, shoulders broad from the weight of carrying their own egos and the baggage of the scorned woman left in their wake. Especially for Liam, because his most recent conquest refuses to stay in the rear vision mirror, and that’s a problem because she’s related to his team management, meaning this time he’s absolutely shat in his own nest!
This is the first book from Ms Asher that I’ve read and I can only tell you how much I loved her writing and her characters. So while ‘Collided’ is the second book in her Dirty Air series, I absolutely didn’t feel I missed out on any undercurrents from not having read ‘Throttled’ first. What I do know, is that I’ve one-clicked it already!
This book though, it contained every addictive element that made me pick it up and hoover it in one sitting. Slow burn, friends-to-lovers does not mean slow paced by any means, and this full-length book had my heart racing from start to finish. It was witty, entertaining, descriptive without being onerous, and ran me through the full gauntlet of emotions.
I can’t even begin to tell you that Sophie was so gorgeously written in every way, so overshadowed by the legacy of her mother and the rules of her father that I wondered how she kept up her vibrant spirit, but she did in a fun and witty style all of her own. All the down to her Converse shod feet.
And I haven’t even started on Liam Zander yet! I can’t word it better than the other reviewers, but he is every sexy Formula 1 Driver you’ve watched over the years but in this book from Ms Asher, we get the inside skinny on a man unhealed from a devastating loss that froze his heart. The Author broke his heart and mine, and we both cried.
At the heart of Collided is the best kind of love. Unconditional Love. Between friends, between friends who become lovers, and what parents have for their children. Because at the end of the day when we have achieved all of our goals, are they what will keep us warm at night? 5 stars from me for this addictive as all hell read.
