A standalone novella, however, you might enjoy the sexy silver fox Uncle Tommy, in his story, After Care.

Ivy’s mom is a rock and roll legend and she seen how her mom was with men. Can hear her mom to this this day saying not to let a man into her heart. Ivy doesn’t trust women to be a friend, let alone a man be anything more than a body. She’ll use the man but not trust them with her heart. When she meets Gage, he’s just one more man that she doesn’t trust.
Gage hasn’t forgotten Ivy and wants to be more to her than just a body. He’s got her work cut out for him and he’ll do what it takes to show her he’s more than just a pretty face. He’ll prove to her that he’s in it for the long haul. I absolutely adored that he showed her patience, showed her it was more than just sex but it was also the getting to know each other.
I absolutely loved their story and thought aww in quite a few places.
Since reading After Care by L.B. Dunbar, I have thought about Ivy and Gage’s story. I even looked to see if it was already written and unfortunately, at that time, it was not. But now in Collide, we finally get their story and I loved it! Side note, though we meet Ivy and Gage in After are, this can be read as standalone, as After Care happens years later.
Ivy Carrigan was raised in a world most of us cannot imagine. As a daughter of a rock star, it was never easy to determine what people truly wanted from her. Who can she trust? Gage Everly is new to Ivy’s world, but he knows he wants her. Can he show her that he can be trusted and would be there for her? I absolutely loved Ivy and Gages story so much. It was all I imagined and more. These two were meant to be together!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
L.B. Dunbar has given her readers a gift in Collide. The love story of Gage and Ivy brings all the feels. Ms. Dunbar’s writing is excellent and her characters are engaging.
A chance encounter with Ivy Carrigan left its mark on Gage Everly. Two years later, another situation has brought them back together. As they push and pull their way through with hope, sadness, joy and love you can’t help but cheer for them to get their HEA.
This book has a tag line of a Collision novella, which leads me to ask if the other boys of Collision will be getting a book too? I would truly love to learn Jared and Petty’s stories. And maybe get some more of Tommy Carrigan too.
I will be recommending this book to everyone.
I’m over the moon that L.B Dunbar was gracious enough to write the story about Gage Everly and Ivy Carrigan. Ivy is the daughter of Kit Carrigan and niece of Tommy Carrigan (from a once famous rock band Chrome Teardrops).Ivy met Gage during brief but hot sexual session backstage after a concert where his band “Collison”was the opening act for the Teardrops. Ivy’s mom passed away a short time later. Fast forward a few years. Ivy is now a pregnant and single. She’s been looking for love to fill the empty void in her heart since her mom passed and she knows she will love her baby. Ivy and Gage reconnect after Tommy invites the members of the band, Collision, for a getaway in Hawaii. Ivy’s feelings for Gage are still there but thinks that a baby would discourage any relationship they may have in the future. Gage is so hell bent on making Ivy his;he sees Ivy & the baby as a total package! This story was amazing!!! So worth the read
This book was unexpected for me. It’s the story of Gage and Ivy. I have to say he never struck me as a likeable person when he appeared in the other romance for the after forty books. Therefore, I was surprised by how thoughtful and loving he is in this book. Also, he is a very mature young man, different from what I expected of him from glimpses we got on the other books. Anyway, loved the story! Awesome work by LB Dunbar, as always!
I love this look into Ivey & Gage’s life. How Gage fought for Ivey’s love & Tommy’s Respect. It’s also a peek into Tommy’s life before he became the manager of collision, Gage’s mentor. It was nice to see the knights make an appearance. I love that everyone gets to tell their story and you never forget they are family & Family always says I’m sorry. I’m so glad that L.B. Dunbar continues everyone’s story & brings our favorite silver foxes & rockers together.
Full Disclosure: L.B. Dunbar is a one-click author for me and I haven’t been disappointed in anything she has written so far.
COLLIDE is a novella in the Collision family. “Did you know when two stars collide, they don’t explode? They can either connect or collapse.” Well connect INDEED. The heat and romance in this story is off the charts. The chemistry between the two main characters is what books are written about (hence, why this story HAD to be told).
I have become a huge fan of this author’s “silver fox” stories and it was fun to back to the younger generation.
I absolutely recommend this quick and easy read.
Gage Everly will be your next book boyfriend. We met him in After Care and got a glimpse of his life and love for Ivy. Ask and ye shall receive. LB Dunbar has given us the prequel to After Care with Collide. This is the story of Gage Everly and Ivy Carrigan. Oh what a story it is.
Ivy Carrigan has grown up in the music industry. Her mom and Uncle are part of a band called Chrome Teardrops. She knows the life rockstars live. A life she has never wanted. Until she meets Gage Everly. Taken with his incredible rock star looks, she finds herself in a closet with him. For her, it’s another guy in a string of one-night stands. But Gage will be hard to forget.
Gage Everly is on a trip to Hawaii courtesy of Uncle Tommy. The sun, surf, and sand only get better when he runs into the one girl he could never forget, Ivy Carrigan. Ivy and Gage’s reunion is not what he expected. She has a secret and he finds his way into her heart. So begins the greatest love story. A story everyone will wish they had.
LB Dunbar, wow, just wow. This story will give all the good feels you expect from LB Dunbar. Her writing style brings her characters to life for her readers. You will not be disappointed by Collide. It made me go back and read the other stories in the series. Just to fall in love with the characters again. Thank you LB Dunbar for a true love story.
Long-time readers of LB Dunbar’s writing will recognize Gage and Ivy from After Care, and this is their story. In Gage, Dunbar has created a character that embodies integrity and grace, no small feat in this genre. Ivy is pregnant with Gage’s (late) bandmate’s baby; he has loved her after an early hookup and not had time with her since. We get to watch as Ivy’s fear of involvement and fear of love are overcome by the strength of Gage’s love and determination. And seeing Tommy with Ivy – the feels! This is a great prequel to the Collision books; I heartily recommend it.
This is Gage and Ivy’s story and pre “After Care”. Gage is a sexy rock star, and Ivy grew up as the daughter and niece of rock stars’. There is an intense chemistry between these two, and Gage accepts Ivy as she is. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this exceptionally talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
If you have read After Care, you know who Ivy and Gage are, Collide gives us their backstory. Ms. Dunbar certainly delivers a steamy novella regarding the whirlwind relationship between these two. Their initial meeting….well, I was scratching my head a bit, thinking to myself…”Ivy? Really? I never would have imagined”….but I continued on because of how much I enjoyed them in After Care. Gage….he is just all that and more….loving, considerate, and wowza….he could eat crackers in my bed anytime!
Looking for a committed hero from page one? I present to you Gage Everly from L.B. Dunbar’s COLLIDE. He may be young but his focus is unwavering in its determination that Ivy Carrigan knows exactly how he feels about her.
I thoroughly enjoyed Gage and Ivy’s story. I know them from Dunbar’s Sexy Silver Foxes series but here we go back in time to see how they met and fell in love.
Theirs is not a smooth romance: both are trying to move on after losing people in their lives, their future plans are seemingly at odds and they both have a public persona that often results in external pressure from people who have vested interests.
With all of this, what I enjoyed about the story is that Dunbar never took focus from our couple. She made them real. They argued, they loved, they were uncertain, they had good intentions that didn’t always go to plan but always, always, there was a lure, a pull that held them together.
I enjoyed getting to know Gage’s bandmates, Jared and Petty, better and of course Ivy’s Uncle Tommy is always a treat. It was great to see him in this story that takes place prior AFTER CARE.
I believe COLLIDE is meant to be a novella, but it’s longer than some novels I read. This is not a complaint. Consider it a forewarning to find a comfy chair and set aside enough time to read it; you’ll likely want to finish it in one go.
