GabrielaStefan Sabbioni showed up uninvited in my bedroom on my sixteenth birthday. He stood in the shadows smelling of whiskey and death and wrapped a broken, blood-crusted necklace around my neck. I thought he’d strangle me with it.That night, he left a message for my father. He said he’d be back to take something precious.I never delivered that message, though. I wonder if things would be … though. I wonder if things would be different if I had because now, two years later, he’s back. And he’s not hiding in any shadows.
He’s come to make good on his promise.
He’s back to take that something precious.
Me.
Stefan
Marchese is the manipulator of my family’s tragedy. I won’t just bring him to his knees. I’ll bury him for what he did.
Taking his daughter is only the beginning. I’ll do it knowing I’m starting a war. I’ll do it knowing my enemies will become his allies. They’ll stop at nothing to destroy me and he’ll stop at nothing to get her back.
I’ve never shied away from war, though. I’m not one to play nice and I don’t share my toys. I’ll demolish you if you touch what’s mine.
And she is most definitely mine.

I m overwhelmed with this opportunity to receive an advance copy for honest review on this book. Thanks Natasha and team.
Warning: Ends with cliffhanger.
Collateral is the first book in this series. I can’t wait for next conclusion book Damage, I need it now. I was so engrossed in Stefen and Gabriela story that when it ended, I double checked that did it really end.
As title suggest it’s a mafia romance arrange marriage book. Stefen is 29 yrs old hot, broody, possessive and rough around the edges sort of guy. I still can’t give a better description for his character. Inws Stefen Sabbioni a Sicilian mobster is out for revenge for 2 years on Gabriel Marchese. He has planned well and now he forces his rivals hand to betroth his daughter to him. They have a month left for marriage. He forces her to sign the contract.
Gabriela is 18 yrs old and not happy with her situation. She realizes soon that she is a pawn in the game played between her father and Stefen. She is cautious and extremely matured for an teenager. Stefen is demanding, powerful and arrogant yet she responds to all that with equal amount of maturity and fiestiness. She knows how to choose her battle well.
She has her own set of difficult upbringing and secrets. She is intelligent enough to hide her cards and not showcase every thing in one go. Gabriela is more matured for an teenager, in my opinion, it’s tough to accept that but good for a book gf. Once the contract is signed she is bought to Stephen home in Palmero.
There relationship, trust and loyalty is in line when betrayal, deceit, secret and plotting is high. This book is from dual POV. Plot is engaging with well built characters. Other characters in the book are charming especially Rafa and Millie. I loved the loyalty of Alex as a friend.
I m not sure how author will tie up all lose ends in just one more book. I m anxious to know how Stefen and Gabriela story will progress and how they will overcome all their problems and barriers. Awaiting for Damage
Collateral (An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance) is swirling with danger, Scrumptiously dark & twisted, a intensely captivating narrative that is entertainingly gingerly. I’ve become addicted to this authors audio’s and I love her writing style and the way she writes mafia. Complex characters, bounteous suspense, mystery, secrets, entwined with angst and deceit.
This ends with a cliffhanger that is a rippling tide creating a vortex affect. Only good thing is that it won’t be too long for the 2nd audio in this duet to be available.
Narators: Wen Ross, Mackenzie Cartwright perfect naration lay bare a persuasive performance bringing the narrative & characters to reality. Mackenzie’s portrayal of Gabriela had plenty of depth and vocalized with the right sentiments. Wen Ross deep intoxicating intonation is like living in paradise. Just so relaxing.
Audiobook Obsession
Collateral by Natasha Knight is an intense edge of the seat dark romance. It tested my emotions, had my heart rate racing and had me questioning characters intentions. I devoured every minute of it.
Our dark gorgeous hero, Stefan, is one to fear, you would definitely want to face him in the bedroom but if you cross him all bets are off. His revenge is served face to face, he may hide in the dark when he needs to but when he’s around, you will want the spotlight on him. Stefan may be ruthless but he has a side of him that had me falling in love.
Our innocent heroine Gabriela is caught in the crossfires in her fathers family drama. Gabriela can be a handful but she has a good heart. This beauty is in a tough situation, she is a bargaining chip in a war between families and wants to protect those she loves. Without knowing who she can trust, will Gabriela be able to come out of this in one piece?
Collateral is the first book in the Collateral Damage duet and with the sexual heat, suspense and the heartbreak that is in this first book I am so ready for book two Damage. I feel like an addict right now needing that something (in this case book two) to calm my anticipation for more of Stefan and Gabriela. This book hangover has me questioning which characters to trust and a reason for being behind a certain character. I was a mess by the end of this book.
5 I NEED MORE NOW STARS!
I can’t put into words hope absolutely amazing this book was. I am in love with Stefan & Gabriela. Their relationship or whatever you want to call is is dark, volatile, twisted and crazy. I found myself eagerly awaiting what was gonna happen around the corner. So looking forward to the next book. Loved Wen Ross & Mackenzie Cartwright narrating. They did an absolutely amazing job of bringing the characters to life.

~~ 4.5 BRUTALLY BEAUTIFUL STARS! ~~
“She’s mine. All mine. The spoils of war.”
Every time I dive into a Natasha Knight novel, I go into sensory overload! I get legit goosebumps, my heart starts to palpitate, and I go weak in the knees. She just nails it EVERY SINGLE TIME and can pen an intoxicating dark romance like no one’s business! So, when I read the shiver-inducing blurb for COLLATERAL, book one in her Collateral Damage series, I know I was in for quite a roller coaster ride! And, as expected, this exhilarating arranged marriage mafia romance gave me an adrenaline rush of EPIC PROPORTIONS!
THE PREMISE:
With years of bad blood simmering between the Sabbioni and Marchese clans, Stefan is out for vengeance. And he has found the perfect pawn in his enemy’s beautiful virginal daughter, Gabriela. Her daddy committed a heinous crime against his family and what’s more fitting than taking Gabriel’s precious little princess as his own? Stefan’s been biding his time to make his move but now that’s she’s 18, the moment has finally arrived for him to take what’s owed to him. To use her as COLLATERAL. When the sequestered heiress discovers that her father brokered a deal with Stefan—her hand in marriage—she has no choice but to dutifully comply as he whisks his newly betrothed off to his luxurious Sicilian estate which will be her new home/prison for the foreseeable future. But that does not mean she is going to just bend over and take everything that her dastardly new fiancé has in store for her!
Over time, Stefan has risen among the ranks of the Sabbioni mafiasco empire, and after an unspeakable tragedy struck his family, Stefan took the reins and set his plan of diabolic revenge in motion. But he never planned on Gabriela. So, while Stefan may have the upper hand and be able to force his beautiful pawn’s hand, demanding her sweet submission, she is HARDLY a shrinking violet. Which makes her a delicious challenge. While he has no intention of harming her, he enjoys sparring with her and relishes the thought of taming this feisty wildcat. And together, against all odds, a fragile connection is born. They bring out one another’s strengths and weaknesses and just might be the healing balm to one another’s shattered souls. But Stefan and Gabriela are embroiled in a deadly feud between their two families that is guaranteed to result in more bloodshed. Can this fiery, impossibly headstrong duo survive the impending war between their families with their hearts intact?
MY MUSINGS:
Wow! What a SPELLBINDING start to the series! COLLATERAL held me enthralled from the first pulse-pounding word to the very last! Natasha Knight is, in my opinion, one of the most talented dark romance ascribes in the business. He prose is visceral and evocative , her story craftsmanship sheer brilliance, and there is just something about the high-octane chemistry between her dark, brooding, lethally sexy anti-heroes and her strong, feisty yet vulnerable heroines that make me tingle from head to toe!
This tale is dark, volatile, tempestuous, yet amidst all the vitriol and heated animosity, edge of your seat danger and nail-biting suspense is a hauntingly beautiful and breathtakingly poignant love story that burrows deep inside your heart. Stefan and Gabriela are both profoundly damaged yet together their splintered fragments somehow make a whole! This mafia kingpin’s hardness is perfectly aligned to his beguiling bride-to-be’s softness, and Ms. Knight wove their scorching hot, slow-burning story to sheer perfection, digging deep inside the hearts and psyches of these nuanced, multi-faceted characters who both had some deep, oozing emotional scars. Gabriela is very much the princess locked in the ivory tower, and her lifelong isolation and abuse at her tyrannical father’s cruel hands broke my heart and though we don’t yet know the full extent of his evildoings, let’s just say he is a bonafide monster. But this is not a heroine to be pitied. Far from it. She is a TRUE SURVIVOR!
And Stefan’s life has not been a walk in the park either and he carries a heavy burden on his tormented soul. In their own way, they each bear the brunt of deeply buried secrets, and horrific tragedies that have forever marked their lives and add in the hero’s bloodthirsty quest for revenge and you have one electrifying story! Speaking of which, OMFG…this duo is so combustible together you can literally feel the sparks leaping off the page! While there is no consummation scene in this book, the sexual tension is OFF THE CHARTS, their razor-sharp banter made me giddy with delight…and the buildup between these two is so palpable that I was left BEGGING for more!
And holy hotness! Can I just say that Stefan in his dark, domineering, alpha male glory is my new BBF?
“I feel that rage inside him again, like I did that first night I met him in the shadows of my bedroom. I feel that terrifying, deep hate.”
I love how he was equal parts cold, ruthless, intimidating, ferociously protective, gruffly tender and innately chivalrous, and while he certainly was the unapologetic dominant in the relationship, he finds a worthy “opponent” in the fetching Gabriela. She has traded one prison for another but refuses to cower. Her bravado, sauciness, aching sadness and sheer resilience tempers the barely leashed fury simmering in his veins, stirs his every possessive instinct and makes him doubly determined to claim her as his! And as the story progresses and his tough outer layers are peeled away we come to see that he might not be the beautifully brutal beast that she accuses him of being but the savior she’s been seeking all her life! But exposing their wounds is something that does not come easily for either of them and doubt and mistrust just might be the one thing to destroy them both in the end…
Ultimately, COLLATERAL is unputdownable! Dark and gritty, teeming with gut-wrenching heartache and soul-burning lust, subterfuge and treachery, I could not turn the pages fast enough! And when this first installment reaches its shattering crescendo, culminating in a to die for cliffy, it left me a quivering jumble of nerves!! I cannot wait for DAMAGE, the sure to be explosive finale that’s guaranteed to give this dynamite couple the ending they so richly deserve!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My very first Natasha Knight book, I absolutely love finding new authors. Especially ones whose books I really enjoy straight from the start.
Collateral is book 1 of the Collateral Damage Duet, a dark mafia romance.
Gabriela is nothing but a pawn in everyone’s games, no one feels more alone than her even though she’s constantly surrounded by people. I love the backbone of this girl, her natural defiance and insistence to be herself in a world where she doesn’t have any choices. Witnessing far too much trauma, she’s a tad jaded when it comes to anyone other than her brother and good friend Alex.
Stefan returns to take what he insisted he would take, something precious from her father….HER! The more time they spend together, the closer they become except another tragedy pushes their progress back again. Then the wrong choice puts Gabriela in more danger than she’s ever been in before.
This is a cliffhanger! Not to worry because the 2nd book in this duet is due out in just a couple weeks. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Mafia romances are just one genre of books that I really love to read. Natasha Knight did an excellent job with this book, I couldn’t put it down once I started!
Natasha Knight completely blew me away with this book. Stefan and Gabriela’s story had me riveted from page one. I’ve read many a mafia romance over the years. It’s become one of my favorite tropes. There’s always something about the big, mean mafia guy finding that one woman that becomes his weakness and strength all in one that just thrills me. I tend to be overly picky when it comes to this trope, having read SO many authors that try this and fail, miserably.
That is DEFINITELY not the case with Collateral. From the very beginning, you’re drawn to the pages. Stefan is an enigma. A man that thrills, excites and scares you all in one. And Gabriela is a strong, beautiful young lady – much wiser than her years let on. Having grown up in “the business” she knows what’s expected of her … And what isn’t. Color her surprised when she’s taken from one arranged marriage to another. One so sudden, the whiplash almost leaves you reeling.
I absolutely LOVE the angst, the emotions, the butterflies in your tummy kind of ache that this story brought. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve fallen in love with a book so fast – I was dreading the end of the book the more I read it. And you read it so fast because you NEED to know what’s going to happen!
If you have never read a Natasha Knight book – this is one to definitely start with. I highly recommend this book – it’s quickly become one of my top reads of 2019 so far. I am so excited and thrilled and… UGH! I need the next book NOW! So do yourself a favor – GET THIS BOOK and ACHE for the next like I am. It’s THAT good!
Holy moly, I just love mafia romance, I love everything about it, the darker the better. I love the arranged marriages whereby the super sexy, super in control, super alpha mob boss falls to his knees for the woman he hates, and the woman who hates him too. Yep, they’re the ones I love most, and though Stefan Sabbioni hasn’t quite fallen to his knees yet, you know it won’t be long, and true to form, Gabriela Marchese isn’t going to make it easy for him, not for him, and not for her father, she won’t be anyone’s pawn. So yes, this is the perfect mafia romance for me. Great writing, a great story which, sadly, I don’t know how it ends, because it’s a flipping duet and a cliffie! Did not see that coming, I really do need to put more into my reconnaissance before I start reading a book. I was truly heartbroken that this book ended, I wanted their happy ever after, and I wanted it now, not in a few weeks. The wait is going to kill me. A perfect read for me. Oh, and the narration, Wen Ross, plays the ultimate Steve Sabbioni, putting in all the feels and the emotions, Kackenzie Cartwright too was faultless, the perfect Gabriela. The countdown’s on, and I am impatiently waiting for Damage. Bring it on.

OMG!! Collateral was Freaking AMAZING!! I love mafia romance and Knight is the Queen of Dark and Deliciously Dangerous!! Stefan is just what I needed!! I love him so much and I’m rooting on him to win this war that was started many years ago. Our Mafia princess, Gabi is the perfect blend of headstrong and sassy! Just because she’s young doesn’t mean she’s ignorant to what’s going on. She is smart and tries to stay one step ahead of her father and Stefan! A beautiful pawn with the power to destroy both sides! I just can’t get enough of these characters! I’m hooked and dying for the second book! I was on the edge of my seat, gripping my kindle and biting my lip! The tension between Stef and Gabi is so combustible rubbing your thighs together will set them off! I have a feeling not all is as it seems and the truths to come will be Epic! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review!
Fantastic Story & Audible Listen Dark & Intense!
Collateral
An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance
By: Natasha Knight
Narrated by: Wen Ross, Mackenzie Cartwright
Wow, this is one great story with a mind blowing ending that leaves you hanging off the cliff. Thankfully the next book “Damage” will be out soon. I love Natasha Knight’s writing style and her ability to suck you right into her stories and hold you hostage throughout. I could not put this book down, I needed to know what was going to happen next. The characters are complex and well developed, as are the family dynamics in the mafia world. Gabriela Marchese is the daughter of a mob boss, a merciless one who even uses his daughter to make a business deal and arranging her marriage to another mob boss, Stefan Sabbioni. Stefan is rising in the ranks and is out to get Gabriela’s father starting with taking his only daughter away from him. The mafia world could be a brutal one, Gabriela knows this, with a father who is a monster she has seen her share of evil. Stefan brings Gabriela to his home, she goes knowing she has not choice but she does give him attitude, which Stefan tries to correct. Is Stefan as evil as her Dad, she is not sure. I love how well plotted this story is, how deep it runs, a lot goes on in this book and you are kept on your toes waiting for the shoe to drop, what shoe though. I have a suspicious mind and trust no one, even those who may be on one side may not be. Several things have my mind spinning and I can not wait to find out if my suspicions are correct. Family or not, it is a dog eat dog world and when you are one top or trying to get to the top there is always someone else aiming for that power and will try to knock you back down. I highly recommend this book, there is plenty of drama, angst, a bit of suspense and a slow burn romance, the chemistry between the two is sizzling and ready to take off. Thank you Natasha Knight for another fantastic story, I am looking forward to see what comes next for Gabriela and Stefan.
I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Mackenzie Cartwright and Wen Ross. They are wonderful voice performers who bring these characters to life, give each their own voice and personality as well as attitude. I love Wen’s Stefan, his alpha attitude and his ability to show his softer side. Mackenzie’s Gabriela is spot on, you can hear strength and determination to not break. Each are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen
Thank you @AudiobookObsession #AudiobookObsession AudiobookObsessionReviewer
I really enjoyed this book and the characters. I could not put this book down. What great chemistry and intense scenes. Great book.
YES! I love, love, love books like this..all dark and dangerous. Kidnapping, death, destruction, mayhem..all while realizing yes, things can always get worse.
Gabriela grew up with monster for a father. On her sixteenth birthday one of his enemies comes to visit her in the dark of night, slinking into her bedroom…
2 years later he comes back, this time to take her for good. YES! that had me hooked right there.
This book of the duet does it’s job. It delivers the characters, the overall plot, gets the revenge in the slowcooker so it can meld and stew and grow while we wait for the next book.
Stefan is a great character and I very much like him even though he’s mired in the life of a mobster. Rafa is also a great secondary character! I can see another awesome duet coming..
Gabriela is a bit different. She’s petulant and pouty and although she doesn’t come off as a spoiled rich girl, she sure does act like it.
Collateral is all about set-up. You don’t need to worry about an almost thirty year old man bedding an 18 year old girl. He’s more of her protector at the moment. Will I mind when it comes about? absolutely not, because we all know that’s where it will lead.
This was a fabulous story that I devoured quickly. I was actually bummed when it ended. Can’t wait to get ahold of the second in the duet.
Gabriel Marchese took something from Steffan Sabbioni. Now Steffan seeks revenge by taking everything from Gabriel Marchese- starting with his daughter.
Steffan is a twenty-nine year old Italian mob boss. What surprised me about this character is that, dark and dangerous as he is, he has the ability to be gentle and compassionate towards his own captive and unwilling bride-to-be, Gabriela. Gabriela, on the other hand, is eighteen years old and the opposite of Steffan- young and innocent as she may seem, she is actually made of sterner stuff.
This arranged marriage, age-gap, slow-burn mafia romance is a definite page-turner. It is well-written in dual narrative (which I realize now that I prefer over books where the first one is written in one of the main character’s point of view and the next one written in the other’s) with some characters I find myself empathizing with and others I’d like to read more about. It captivated me from the very beginning and now has me at the edge of my seat waiting for the next book!
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
This is Part I of the story of Stefan & Gabriela. Stefan is the head of the Sicilian Mafia. Gabriela is the daughter of the powerful Gabriel Marchese on two continents. Stefan forces Gabriel into a contract to wed Gabriela for something he did to his family. Gabriela has been rebellious to her father, and is now rebellious to Stefan. This is a great mafia book. You have to read it to know what I’m talking about. They have great chemistry, too. The cliffhanger at the end is mind blowing. I couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait for the Damage to come out. I’m usually not a fan of Mafia romance, but this book is awesome!! Kudos to you, Natasha Knight for a well written book.
Crap on a cracker! Holy Shiitake Mushrooms!
F A N T A S T I C read!
Mafia lovers..this is a must.
I devoured this book. I absolutely love the worlds Natasha Knight creates..layers upon layers of mystery and intrigue.
Gabriela and Stefan have scorching chemistry. I can’t say anything more without spoilers.
Major cliffhanger but sooooooo worth it..is it October yet?

Collateral
An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance
By: Natasha Knight
Narrated by: Wen Ross, Mackenzie Cartwright
Some authors bring it with every release, and no matter what book I have listened to, Natasha Knight consistently brings it on! This first book in the Collateral Damage series is amazing. It’s not your typical mafia romance! Stefan Sabbioni has seeking some revenge on the Marchese family, and what better way than to marry Gabriela? This story is full of intrigue, heartbreak, and a slow burn that is smoldering! Knight with her intricate plots includes so much, weaving a plot that kept me coming back for more. The family dynamic is brutal, one minute thinking there may be hope, only to hear something so tragic, it breaks your heart. Gabriela is a strong willed woman, and promises to be an evenly matched adversary to Stefan, though he is much more confident in his abilities. Stefan, though dark and brooding has a compassionate side that we are seeing glimpses of. The story leaves us on a major cliffhanger, just ramping up the anticipation for the next book in the series! I can’t wait to see where these two end up, and how they get there. There is going to be some major shakedowns and I am excited!
Knight casts her stories with care, and this team chosen could not have been better picked. Wen Ross can be the romantic alpha, and in the next breath, give Stefan an evilness not rivaled by any other. He adds in that occasional chuckle that is swoonworthy! Mackenzie Cartwright adds so much to depth to Gabriela. I love her way of adding attitude and fierceness to her personality without losing the naivete! It’s so good!

I loved this book.It seduced me and pulled me in from the very first page.
After the death of his brother Stefan Sabbioni is out for revenge. He knows who is responsible for his brother’s murder and he won’t stop until he avenge him.His plan involves his enemy’s daughter Gabriela. He is out to take her and use her to destroy her father and his business.
I absolutely loved this book.Arranged marriage combined with mob elements is,literary,my guilty pleasure. This book had it all,the action, drama, passion, sassy heroine and hot hero who was actually sensible and nice(at times).
Gabriela was a pawn in her father’s plans her entire life. She was abused for the better part of her 18 years and treated like a trash. But,damn,Gabriela was such a smart and great heroine. She know her fiancee is not a nice man,but she didn’t let that scare her.She is smart and mouthy girl who stands for herself.
While Stefan was cruel and demanding guy,he was never violent to Gabriela and I loved that. It’s probably his best quality. He is dark and brooding but he is protective of the people he cares about.I liked his character.
The story was fast paced and well written. It’s the first time that I’m reading this author and I’m honestly glad that I picked up this book. The romance was nice, there wasn’t a lot happening there but we got a hint as to what can happen and I can’t wait to see.
I started this book on a whim and could not put it down! Seriously, ignored all adult responsibilities..told my husband to cook his own dinner and just read. Stefan and Gabriela will hold you captive as their story unfolds. And that ending GAH! My heart is in my chest and my kindle was thrown clear across the room! I cannot wait for book two!
Collateral checked all my mafia romance loving hearts boxes..
-Arranged marriage
-Revenge
-Secrets
-More secrets and lies
-Some seriously slow burn
This book has left me with more questions than answers & a pretty serious book hangover and I regret nothing! SO GOOD!
DREAMY’S REVIEW
This isn’t my first Natasha Knight book and from the moment I knew she was coming out with this series, I dropped EVERYTHING to get my hands on it! She consistently comes out with such superb, amazing, all-consuming dark romances that feed my need! She always has me in a book hangover and needing more of her writing, her words, and her stories! And so this duet right here?
I’m allll for it!!
Collateral is book one in an arranged marriage, mafia romance duet and I’m completely obsessed with arranged marriages AND mafia romances! So I was TOTALLY game for it!!
And can I quickly mention that slight age-gap between our hero and heroine? I’M IN LOVE!
Hooked. I was utterly hooked the moment I opened this book! Knight has a way with weaving a beautiful, dark, and delicious tale of dangerously HOT AF heroes and sassy heroines!
In this book, it begins the story of Stefan Sabbioni and Gabrielle Marchese. These two characters are both damaged. One seeking revenge, the other who is a pawn in his game.
Collateral damage.
“See, you’re in my world now. And in my world, I make the rules and you obey them. I. Own. You.”
In so many ways, I felt like they needed each other, they fed off each other, and I know for a fact, they wanted each other. Even when they didn’t exactly speak the words to one another, it was very clear and evident.
Gabrielle was more than just a pawn, more than just collateral damage to Stefan.
Stefan was more than just a monster, the man who is forcing her into this marriage.
The question is… why? How does everything to come to play? And the reason behind it all?! So much mystery looms around why this is exactly happening. I can’t wait to find out more!
But these two together… an undeniable, steamy, sexual tension that I couldn’t get enough of!! I wanted so much of Stefan and Gabrielle, and Knight delivered!
“Your body is mine. But the thing is, I want the rest too. Your mind. Your past. Your secrets. Your soul. I’ll take it.”
I cannot wait for what awaits in book two, Damaged because that cliffhanger drove me completely mad!
Five dreamy stars:
AHHHH!! OMG!!! YOU GUYS!! COLLATERAL WAS AMAZING!!!! I am such a Natasha Knight addict and will read ANYTHING she writes. Collateral was pure mafia kindle crack. I was consumed with every word and did not come up for air once. Stefan Sabbioni and Gabriela Marchese were the perfect match for one another. They were sexy, provocative and their connection was so intense. I loved every minute of this story!!
Anyone who knows me knows that mafia stories are my version of heaven, but a mafia arranged marriage story? ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I absolutely died for this couple. They were two damaged people with hidden secrets and tragedies in their past. But with Stefan set on an unwavering quest for vengeance against the Marchese family, Gabriela is now a pawn caught in his crosshairs.
AHHH!! I FLOVED this story! It was so compelling that I found myself completely engrossed in the pages not even coming up for air. The storytelling was superb and testament to Knight’s immeasurable talent. Stefan and Gabriela’s love story was dark, volatile and dangerous and yet equally passionate and emotional. Separately, they were both wounded and damaged, but together there was a palpable energy around them that came right off the pages. Gabriela was so sassy and headstrong and coupled with Stefan’s delicious alpha protector personality, they were pure FIRE!! I am so hooked and can not wait for Damage and the shocking, adrenaline filled ride I know this author will take me on. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
