Colin
Being a police captain’s son has zero perks. After taking the fall for a buddy last year and winding up with a drug charge, I’m the black sheep of the family.
Now, my father wants me to make up for it by joining his top-secret Program as a recruit. The drugs I got in trouble for came from the ritzy country club he and my mother recently joined, and my mission is to go undercover as a … my mission is to go undercover as a maintenance man and find out who’s dealing them.
Seems easy enough, until I’m called to the office of the owner’s gorgeous daughter, who manages the place.
I’m just supposed to get a job there and keep my ear to the ground for intel.
I’m definitely not supposed to fall for her.
Problem is, I can’t stay away from her…but I’m risking the whole operation if I don’t.
Hendrix
Growing up well-off, I live the fancy, sometimes stuffy, country-club life. I work for my dad, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club, and being the boss’s daughter definitely has perks, but it’s also a huge headache.
When I call the new maintenance guy to come to my rescue, he’s not only great at his job, but he’s seriously sexy. He’s just my type—a regular guy who isn’t constantly trying to name-drop or elbow-rub to get close to me.
My father thinks he’s beneath me, but I’m inviting him to our annual members gala as my date anyway, because screw the patriarchy…even if it’s mine.
Colin’s sweet and so sexy and kind of mysterious…and I plan to find out what’s really going on behind those gorgeous green eyes, no matter what.

I’ve really been enjoying this series so far. This is the second book and it didn’t disappoint. I liked the first one, but i did enjoy this one more. These guys get second chances to redeem themselves and fall in love in the process. It was a short read, sorta insta-love. They spent a couple weeks together before they ended up together, but weeks can be determined a small amount of time for some. I look forward to the next one.

Colin made a poor decision earlier in his life which left him with a record. He has an opportunity to expunge this by working undercover with the police. Hendrix is managing her father’s country club and is meeting the new employee, Colin. She has no idea what he is really doing and he cannot tell her. When they discover a connection, their lives get very complicated. I enjoyed reading this novel and how hard Colin was working to get his life on track, no matter what the danger.

She is the one small detail that as left out of his briefing…….and she is going to cause him the most trouble
Colin is the second book in the Ridge City Recruits series which overlaps with the previous Badge Bunnies series by Mazzy King. Colin is twenty-seven years old and is the Ridge City Police Captain’s son. A year ago on his twenty-sixth birthday he was out partying with friends and at the end of the night one of his friends drove his car home, as Colin had too much to drink. Well they ended up getting pulled over and Colin ended up taking the fall for his friend on a drugs charge, as it would have meant his friend would lose his fellowship and they figured Colin would get off because of who his father was. Unfortunately Colin’s dad was not too happy and there were no strings pulled for him so he was convicted and spent six months is jail. Now he is not able to get hired at a job using his business degree and is currently working as a welder. But he has been recruited into the secret program and trained as a civilian undercover informant in exchange for his record being expunged. Colin’s number has finally been drawn and he gets called into his father’s office at the RCPD headquarters to get his assignment. It appears that there are rumors of a narcotics being sold out of the Ridge City Country Club and the owner, Timothy Whisler has come to the police to see if they can investigate, as this is not the type of thing he wants in his club.
Hendrix, Henny, Whisler is twenty-five years old and is the General Manager of the Ridge City Country Club. Her father may own the club but she worked hard to be hired for the position after graduating college and gaining experience for the next few years. She likes what she does, may not love it but by her working as the GM it means her father can take it easier and enjoy his life. Henny has not really had a social life for the last several years as she has been concentrating on work. So when the new maintenance man walks into her office to find her bent over with her ass up in the air wearing a dress and she is more than embarrassed. But add in the fact that he is one of the sexiest men she has seen and he has the naughty twinkle in his eye and she is all flustered.
Colin is working undercover as the maintenance man so that he can identify who the dealer and gather information to bust them. The one thing he was not prepared for was to meet Hendrix, as she is the little thing that was left out of his briefing. She is also the thing that is going to cause him the most trouble as he is attracted to her immediately, even if he is there to do a job.
Colin and Henny are wonderful together as they get to know each other, with a few bumps along the way. But they flirty and fit together really well. I enjoyed this book as the story had romance, intrigue, drama, action and hot sexy chemistry.
This is well written, insta-love, bad-boys next door, happily-ever-after, STEAMY romance. This story is well-developed with characters that have substance, well-constructed, and very hot chemistry. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating and has HEA. This is a standalone book 2 part of the Ridge City Recruits Series. Must Read

This is actually the third book in this series as there is a free book that logs the Ridge Cities idea to use young men with checkered pasts to infiltrate crime gangs in the area This is Colin’s story is that quest
Colin is the son of a high ranking police officer in the Ridge City police force and when one of his friends was about to lose his scholarship due to a drug possession charge Colin took the hit thinking that it would be swept under the table by his father Wrong now he has a criminal record but that has also given him the chance to work with the undercover team They know that someone is dealing drugs at the local country club and Colin is sent there as the new maintenance man in the process he meets Hendrix who is not only the event coordinator for the club but also the owners only child. When danger threatens Hendrix Colin will blow his cover in an attempt to save her will they both survive and will Colin get a second chance You will have to read to see
I am loving this Ridge City Recruits series which focuses on men that made a bad decision in their life, owned up to the consequences and are now offered an opportunity to have their record cleared. Seriously, who doesn’t want to read a story about a totally redeemable hero?
In Colin, our hero is the son of a police captain who took the fall for his buddy over some drugs that were found in his car. Even though everyone knew the drugs weren’t his and they gave him numerous opportunities to turn on his friend, he kept his mouth shut and even spent time in county jail. Now he is being sent undercover at the local country club to find out who is dealing drugs.. the only problem is a distraction in the form of his boss’s daughter Hendrix. Will he be able to get the job done and clear his record or will he end up distracted and blow the whole mission?
Y’all, I loved the chemistry between Hendrix and Colin so much! From their first interaction I was instantly rooting for these two to get their HEA and I couldn’t be happier with the ending!! I loved the plot, I found it enjoyable, fresh and interesting and the characters are extremely likable. Even though its a short story, it feels like it tells a complete story that didn’t leave you feeling like you need more… that doesn’t mean you won’t like the characters and wish you could have more. Mazzy King is a master of finding that perfect balance in her stories and it has made her one of my go to authors.
I absolutely recommend this story, this series and this author to anyone looking for a quick steamy read with hot alpha males and feisty female leads.

Colin is brought into the Ridge City Police special recruiting program. He is given a chance to wipe away his record if he goes undercover at a country club to find out who is dealing drugs to the members. What he didn’t expect was to fall for the owner’s daughter! Hendrix works at her father’s club and is instantly attracted to the new maintenance worker Colin! Only will she forgive him for not telling her the truth about him? Another great book in the series! I would definitely recommend it!

Colin was young and stupid, and took the fall for a buddy. He ended up with six months in county lockup. Now he has a chance to get his record cleared. He’s entered a program to help gather information for undercover investigators. Hendrix is the country club manager. Her father is the owner, and suspects that drug deals are happening on the premises. He falls in love with her immediately, but her father makes it clear that she’s off limits to someone “like him”. This was short, sweet and steamy. There’s a dangerous twist near the end, but the author is as much a romantic as I am, and the situation is resolved. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I love the stories that overlap but yet are stand alones. This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha male and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.

This is book two in the Ridge City Recruit series. This series is interesting, these bad boys have a blemish on their record that is following them around. They get the opportunity to help out the Ridge City PD after going through the ‘Program’. Colin is the son of the Police Chief but there is no special treatment. Instead of a career in finance, he is a welder with his legal record. His time has come to put the new skills he has learned to use in the drug trade at the local country club. He meets the general manager, who happens to be the country clubs daughter, Hendrix. These two hit it off fantastically. Their relationship continues to grow and flourish as the story unfolds. However, undisclosed truths could blow ot all out of the water. Enjoy!

I love this new series by Mazzy King. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next for Colin and Hendrix. Colin made a mistake and covered for a friend. He now has the chance to fix it and get his record cleared. While undercover he meets Hendrix and can’t stop himself from pursuing her. Hendrix enjoys spending time with Colin. When she discovers he been lying, will she forgive him?

These rough around the edges alphas are reluctant heroes. They’ve been dealt a tough hand in life, but this undercover program being run by the police department is giving them a fresh start – after they jump through some hoops first! Colin makes some poor decisions, and being the son of the police chief only complicates matters. He’s got a chip on his shoulder, but meeting Hendrix while undercover matures him quickly. And I love how Hendrix is with Colin, undercover or not. This is a fast read, but well worth the time!

An enjoyable, engaging, relatable, and interesting book two in the Ridge City Recruits series. It is well written, well developed, funny, and witty with suspense, danger, and really likeable characters; the chemistry between them is intense, instant, and off the charts. Recommended!

Colin was arrested when he pled guilty to his friends possession of drugs thinking that since his dad is the police chief he would get a slap on the wrist. Nope he ends up with a record. He has the chance to clear his record If he agrees should go undercover. He agrees and now the adventure starts. I enjoyed the sweet short insta love novel. Mrs King is amazing.

I enjoyed this story. Colin and Hendrix were great together. They may have had a few bumps but they were good for each other, their connection and chemistry was strong. They were good together.
Colin is in the Ridge City Recruits working undercover because he made a mistake and now if he does this his record will be wiped clean. Hendrix works for her father at the country club. While Colin is trying to find the drug dealer he falls for Hendrix and she falls for him as the handyman. This was a fast and fun read with a bit of danger added in.

Colin and Hendrix are immediately attracted to each other but there is danger and some secrets they need to uncover. I loved the suspense and story. The story is short but with the way it’s written it flows so well, I practically devoured it in one sitting.

As a Mazzy Kjng fan, I was a little disappointed by this book. Overall it was entertaining. The characters were okay. I like Colin a lot and was so glad at the end…never mind, I won’t spoil it. But Hendrix was more bland than normal. The story started off pretty slow for me as well. But I was interested enough to keep going so there’s that!
