A fashion photographer. A cub reporter. The missing persons story of a lifetime… murder.
Fashion photographer Anna Burgin has a secret crush on her flatmate, Danny. So when she feels his pain over his missing mentor, the feisty woman leaps in with both feet to help Danny crack the case. But she’s soon risking more than her heart when a hunt for clues plunges them both headfirst into danger.
Criss-crossing the country in search of his idol, Danny and Anna uncover a sinister trail of revenge. And just when they think they know which of her criminal enemies may be responsible, they find themselves targeted by corrupt police officials.
Can Danny and Anna break the story of the century before they end up in the obituaries?

Great book, trouble is it was hard to put down. Reading the following book now
Cold Press is a real page turner with likeable good guys. I read it in a day, in fact I couldn’t put it down. There’s plenty of action & some humour, a good mix. The characters are well drawn & the plot kept me guessing. I’ll be following David Bradwell from now on.
Read it on holiday. This book had me up till all hours. I just couldn’t put it down.
Page turner from start to finish. Story is filled with twists and turns and an unexpected ending. Wonderful characters that are believable. Highly recommend!Looking forward to the next book.
Really great plot builder! Create a sense of suspense.
Riveting! Didn’t want to put it down when I had to but was happy for the next “Part!.” Will definitely be reading more from this author!
Excellent reading with story and plot that keeps you intrigued and interested.
Very interesting, but could have done with some more editing to keep it more streamlined. Would read more from this author.
A little too long could have a conclusion sooner
Fast moving story with great characters!
sentences seemed stilted, didn’t “flow”, therefore it wasn’t easy to read.. Main characters search for Clare was overly obsessive and not really believable. Ending did take a twist.
Unexpected ending when the good girl turned bad but was not surprised that she found a way to take care of herself.
Good story
It was a easy book nothing that wouldn’t let me put it down but it was an easy read
This book takes you off in so many different directions you never know what will happen next. The two main characters are great and end up learning a lot about each other even after being friends for years.
Excellent book, I had no clue where the story was going. Well crafted plot to be sure.
Interesting with twists and turns.
A good mystery needs (1) attractive protagonists and (2) a series of clues building towards the resolution, challenging the reader to solve the puzzle. In this case, Anna is OK but Danny comes across as a silly wimp. The two of them spend the whole book repeatedly telling each other what they do not know (boring!), and none of it leads up to the surprise(!) denouement.
A good read – although it took a long time to get there!
Surprise ending
