Outstanding book. This was the first of many more of Mr. Mofina’so books that I have read. I am addicted to his books!
Rick Mofina – I love all of the books of his I read , I would have 2say this was one of the best. Thanks
Not sure I like the change in e cover though…
Love this author’s style of writing. Always makes me read past my bedtime!
Excellent book if you like a thriller mystery.
I was honestly surprised by the number of positive reviews this book has garnered after having read it. It’s a tragic story about a missing child and her dog, which would normally captivate me, but it’s surprisingly slow moving, has WAY too many characters to keep track of – many that don’t move the story along – and the errors are numerous and …
Very boring
I couldn’t put this book down. A realistic and revealing look at the parents, police, press, etc. deal with a lost child. Scary how parents could be accused and maybe convicted of murdering their child. Everyone brings their “stuff” to the investigation. Meanwhile the young an naïve lawyer of a prisoner on death row about to be executed is …
This is a very good read. After a slow start and lots of character building this story takes off at a blinding speed! I would definitely recommend this book.
This book was ok. For many other it would be good, but I don’t enjoy stories that punish innocent people, as in this book. Therefore I didn’t enjoy quite as much.
Get’s too dragged out. Nearly at end, wish I was there already. As in ‘Fineto’!!!
Great read
Good mystery!
While a little too much space was spent on background, a wonderful, if unlikely story that ends up with the killer finding Paige, saving her from a bear and “playing” with her like he did with the sister looking for a friend. SF reporter, Tom Reed, figures out the link between Emily and the killer
A thriller with a disappointing ending…
Interesting characters, easy to read. It was a little predictable until it became too unrealistic with the transportation of a prisoner and the following events.
There were so many characters that no one really got built on. The twists seemed forced. Over all I would not read this author again.
Suspenseful book. It was a little slow, but good suspense story about what happened.
I did not recommend this book because there were many characters with detailed descriptions that were not part of the plot. For me, the number of “red herrings” were a detriment.
I couldn’t get interested enough to finish.
I could not stop reading this book. It was so well written, the characters were realistic, the plot was so simple but got twisted and complicated. I will definitely read other books by this author.
