Rick Mofina never ceases to amaze me. I cannot put the book down!
excellent read! Couldn’t put it down
I can’t remember the story, and I read it in the last month. I do know it wasn’t awful or I would remember that. I guess I read too many books. But the really, very well written ones stay with me. I would say this is a good escape for a few hours-if not I wouldn’t have stayed with it.
I’ve never read a Rick Mofina book I didn’t love. And this one is no different.
A great mystery by a favorite author.
family goes camping daughter gets lost with her dog parents get accused of killing her good book well written
Very suspenseful. Great book
It took me a little while to get into, but once I did, I couldn’t read fast enough. At first, I took everything at face value and felt that I had it figured out, but at the end, I was surprised, and even a bit sad. I’ve read some of RIck Molina’s novels in the past, and enjoyed them a great deal, so this was a nice addition. I would recommend …
In this World of PTSD
PTSD comes in many forms. Triggers are many. Reliving the moments day after day. Night tremors. Voices. Tragedy in aromas, lyrics. Good read. Difficult to process at times given the harrowing accounts.
A young girl becomes lost in the vast wilderness of a state park. Meanwhile the parents search frantically for their beloved child, while trying to convince authorities that they haven’t harmed her. The mother’s tragic past comes to light complicating matters. This is a page turner that keeps you entertained from beginning to end.
Always enjoy any book by Rick Mofina
A couple of typos (e.g. gnarled v knurled) were the negative in this excellent story. The characters were well developed: even minor characters were developed enough that their motivations were reasonable and understandable.
Have yet to find a book by this author that isn’t a good book.
I love this author! Will continue to buy his books.
A great read!!!!!!!
Is Paige dead or not? You will have to read the book to find out . What is the truth. The truth is spun throughout the book from the different angles depending on the perspective of the character. As different characters are introduced the connection becomes more difficult to see. I thoroughly enjoyed trying to figure this one out. And in the …
Love Mofina’s books with his reporter protagonist, and this is definitely a good read. My only “complaints”, such as they are, are these: the original premise of why this family went to this wilderness area to camp is based on the mother’s past and her inability to deal with it. Once the story unfolded about what that was, my reaction was, “jeez, …
Enjoyed this book very much and will read other books by this author
Interesting plot combinations. Kept my attention with plenty of psychological intrigue.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It was hard to put down
