After a brief interlude in the afterlife, Harry Dresden’s new job makes him wonder if death was really all that bad in this novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series. Harry Dresden is no longer Chicago’s only professional wizard. Now, he’s Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. Her word is his command. And her first command is the seemingly impossible: kill an immortal. … impossible: kill an immortal. Worse still, there is a growing threat to an unfathomable source of magic that could mean the deaths of millions.
Beset by enemies new and old, Harry must gather his friends and allies, prevent an apocalypse, and find a way out of his eternal subservience before his newfound infinite powers claim the only thing he has left to call his own…
His soul.

Butcher is a excellent writer. All of his die hard fans wish that he continue writing MORE about Harry Dresden.
fantastic series, highly recommend it, wish he would write the next one!
Love Jim Butcher. Always entertaining.
I love the Dresden books.
Love this series
Harry Dresden and the characters in his world are great for wiping away our more mundane concerns. He’s a moral man in an amoral profession in what really is a multi-verse, the Never-Never and the Here and Now. Here and Now is Chicago; the Never-Never is the realm of vampires, the Fairy Courts, and odd and stranger and potentially older and darker realms and characters. Can’t a white, working class sorcerer get a break?
All of the Dresden books are wonderful. Read them all!
great series
Great stuff.Good concept. Really interesting reading.
Of the series, I especially enjoyed this one.
I read this book a few years ago in the paper edition from the library. Let’s just say that anything having to do with Dresden Files is a must read for me as long as it isn’t a comic book. I’ve got the complete TV series on DVD of the Dresden Files as well. Great reads.
Great read! I read any book in which Harry Dresden appears. You can’t go wrong with Harry Dresden as a protagonist.
Love this dresden books! Impressed with how the story evolves from one book to the next making it richer every time. the way things turn out is not always as expected but always believable and interesting.
Excellent read as are all of his books
Classic Harry Dresden novel – well written, great plot, favourite characters and above all a great read.
The “Harry Dresden Files” series is thoroughly entertaining, and “Cold Days” is a good addition.
You can never go wrong with Dresden.
Well written
Harry Dresden is a pretty awesome character, and Jim Butcher gets better as a writer with each book. I have l9ved watching Dresden’ s character evolve over the series.
Butcher creates a mesmerizing world where good and evil are constantly at war, and the characters cross over that thin line frequently as they are driven to defend their beliefs and rescue their friends. My favorite series…..
