A thrilling novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Tami Hoag, “one of the most intense suspense writers around” (Chicago Tribune).Dana Nolan was a promising young TV reporter until a notorious serial killer tried to add her to his list of victims. Nearly a year has passed since she survived her ordeal, but the physical, emotional, and psychological scars run deep. Struggling with the … run deep. Struggling with the torment of post-traumatic stress syndrome, plagued by flashbacks and nightmares, Dana returns to her hometown in an attempt to begin to put her life back together. But home doesn’t provide the comfort she expects.
Dana’s harrowing story and her return to small-town life have rekindled police and media interest in the unsolved case of her childhood best friend, Casey Grant, who disappeared without a trace the summer after their graduation from high school. Terrified of truths long buried, Dana reluctantly begins to look back at her past. Viewed through the dark filter of PTSD, old friends and loved ones become suspects and enemies. Questioning everything she knows, refusing to be defined by the traumas of her past, Dana seeks out a truth that may prove too terrible to be believed…

Not as compelling as some of her others. A few very stereotypical characters.
It was an ok book. Kinda predictable. Quick read though.
I was not enjoying reading the book from the viewpoint of an aphasic. I stopped reading when she went home from the hospital.
Good read
I really liked this book.
Great author
Every book she writes is great!
Interesting read about the effects of brain injuries. Plot was ok.
I thought this book was boring. Not very effective story to shed light on the trauma and effects of PTSD. Not as good as other Tami Hoag
Great story with an unexpected ending. I always enjoy Tami Hoag’s books.
Great read
All of Tami Hoag’s books are great!
Not much
Great book although I did guess the ending before I finished reading it.
I am enjoying her series
Love Tami Hoag. Read almost everything she write.
Good book, although I got real tired of Dana’s mom continually harping about one thing or the other. Her character was borderline obnoxious!
I enjoyed the read. The characters were realistic in the sense the actions of the main character were consistent with the type of injuries. The path to healing was appropriate for the character and once I picked it up I did not stop until I finished the book. I will enjoy reading more by this author.
Never knew what was coming next.
A real page turner from a great author!
