It may be Winter Games, but the bedroom games are about to begin… about is that I’m her brother’s ex-best friend and it’s her duty to hate me. The funny thing is, I barely noticed her back when she was trying to keep up with us on the slopes. Now, as both of us prepare to go for gold, I’m seeing her in a whole different light—and it involves a whole lotta different positions.
No one said the path to the Olympics would be easy.

Cold as Ice was definitely hot enough to burn up the pages at each turn. Grady and Mia will lure you in with their fiesty banter but will captivate you with their scorching chemistry. If you’re looking for a quick hot read definitely grab this amazing book, you won’t be able to put it down!
I’ve read quite a few books by Piper Rayne in the past and they have always entertained me. Cold as Ice was not an exception!
Grady and Mia have a long history that not only includes friendship, but it includes hurt. So when they’re put together at the Winter Classic representing the US, they really have no choice but to work as a team …. let the games begin 🙂
These two were sooooooo fun to read. The story was very well balanced between the sport and the romance. I don’t know the first think about snowboarding but after reading Cold as Ice I feel better informed but not so much so that it bogged the romantic comedy down. It was a really well thought out story that unfolded perfectly. AND … I love that Piper wrote the book in the male POV. It’s rare, so I like it. Makes it a bit unique.
I can say that I enjoyed this book immensely and I look forward to diving into the next in this series very soon!
Grady and Mia exploring a found relationship and exploring new moves on the slopes waiting for the winter classic. Best friends little sister with a slice of instant love between Grady & Mia.
You know what I love about Piper Rayne? I can always depend on them for a fresh fantastic read! This is the first book of the Bedroom Games and it introduces us to a new gang! Never have I wanted to be part of a group of people than I did with this cast of characters!
They have done it again with Cold As Ice!
This story of Mia & Grady is fantastic! Grady (who, if you read Chore Play, will know this is Jagger’s cousin and if you haven’t read it, what the hell you waiting for?!?) is the perfect swoon worthy specimen! I love his competitiveness, his swagger, and when he falls, he falls hard! (both literally and figuratively!) He struggles with his guilt and he overcomes beautifully!
Mia is perfection, she is take no prisoners, in control of her world (even when she isn’t) and a kickass snowboarder! She also has a vulnerable side that you see just a bit of through Grady’s eyes and it make you love her all the more!
I am so excited to continue on this journey with Piper Rayne, this series is going to be better than a gold medal run down the half-pipe!
As always, I loved a Piper Rayne book! Any book from PR is a must read for me. Cold As Ice was a great start for The Bedroom Games Series. It was a quick read. I for one; could not put it down until I was done. It had little angst, but enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. I laughed so hard at some parts of the story. It had my attention from beginning to end. I really enjoyed getting to know Mia and Grady’s story.
Grady and Mia both are off to win Gold in the Winter Olympics. It is all about competition. Especially since Mia hates Grady after a tragic accident of her brother (Grady’s ex best friend) four years ago.
Cold As Ice is the first book in The Bedroom Games Series. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of the characters of book one and look forward to reading more about these characters in Book two On Thin Ice.
Piper has once again give us a sexy sweet romance ! Mia and Grady are heating up the Winter Games . These two amazing athletes have a past. Yes Grady was her brother’s best friend and Mia was the awkward little sister. Grady has not seen her or her family in four years. Mia’s brother had an untimely accident that took him out of the running for a metal and Grady was there to move ahead and pick up the gold. That has since put a wedge between these friends and their families , until Mia and Grady once again meet up! Love and spark can not be planned and these two had no idea what hit them !!
Great Read !!

Yay! A new series by Piper Rayne! I love sports romances but I’ve never read about snowboarder before. There’s always a first, right?!
Grady Kale stole my heart. He was such a cutie, passionate about his sport, caring about others, funny and down to earth despite his success. But heavy guilt was pressing down on him because he blamed himself for what happened to his best friend.
The Story:
Four years of carrying around feelings of guilt about what happened to his best friend, Grady now has to face the music when his past catches up with him. He rather focuses on training for the winter classics because he wants to show everyone that he’s the best, but what he didn’t anticipate was going on a press tour with Mia Salter. All these years he kept his distance as far as it was possible with them being in the same sports environment. Now he has to face his demons head on in form of this feisty and stunningly beautiful woman.
Mia once had a crush on him but nowadays her hate for him overrules any other feelings she had.
Thoughts:
I loved all the characters. This author duo always manages to build great personalities and loveable characters. Mia was a strong, confident and independent woman and I loved her razzing Grady. Those two as well as the other boys, Dax, Beckett and Brandon, had me laughing a lot during this read. The easy banter between Mia and Grady was the heart of the story and I enjoyed their comfortableness around each other.
I had so much fun reading this story. There were many laugh-out-loud moments and despite the history of what happened to Brandon and how Grady dealt with it, the story was not too heavy but very funny, sweet and lighthearted. Although the dark cloud above Grady’s head was very present as well as the baggage he carried around on top of the pressure to succeed.
Brandon lost everything and Grady had it all. How unfair is life?! But your fate is in your hands, you just have to make the best of it.
Grady Kale is more than ready to compete in the upcoming Winter Games. What he doesn’t expect is to be promoting the games with his female counterpart, a woman who has hated him for the last 4 years.
Mia Salter is headed to her first Winter Games as the female favorite, but can she spend the weeks before the games being civil to Grady Kale?
Grady and Mia have history. He used to be her brother’s best friend growing up, but 4 years ago he went after his dreams and left them behind. The friendship was broken and the animosity between them is palpable. But he immediately takes notice of grown up Mia and when they find themselves stranded together, they’ll have no other choice than confronting their demons and decide whether they will be forever enemies or if they can call a truce and move on.
Once again the authors deliver a fast and fun read, this time with the backdrop of the winter games. The story is a nice mix of enemies to lovers, best friend’s little sister and sports romance in true Piper Rayne fashion. The characters, both main and secondary, are competitive among themselves and it makes for great banter and word play.
I can’t wait for the next story in the series and I hope a Brandon book is also in the making.
*Received an ARC for which I voluntarily provided an honest review*
This is the perfect book to kick off the Winter Games aka the Winter Olympics. Piper Rayne has once again given us a romantic comedy but this one in my opinion is more romantic…. Don’t get me wrong we still have the take take Piper Rayne humor but I have a feeling it might be setting things up more for for Dex’s book next. But I enjoyed Mia and Brady’s story and can’t wait for the next book.
It was great!
Loved it
I loved this book. Makes me want to watch the Olympics. Grady and Mia’s story was so good, can’t wait to read the next one in this series.
What a great start to what I am sure is to be another hit series by Piper Rayne. I really enjoyed this book and flew through it in no time. The story had me hooked from the beginning wondering what happened to cause the rift between Grady and Mia’s family. I loved how we get to see their relationship evolve, the anticipation to see how the families will react to the couple.
What happens when what really happened is revealed or at least Grady’s view of the events? Will a relationship form between Grady and Mia or will it be a Winter Classic fling? Will Grady be able to tough out the family’s reaction or will he run like he did after the accident?
I highly recommend this book. I loved all the characters and I am looking forward to more in this series. I don’t usually read books about snowboarders and I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the next!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this enemies to lovers, ex best friend’s little sister, and second chance at love romantic comedy! What a great concept staging this at the Winter Classic (also known as the Winter Games) and getting to experience love on the slopes.
Grady Kale and Mia Salter have a long history. They grew up in the same town and Mia is four years younger than Grady and her brother Brandon, who she followed around and wanted to emulate. Mia and Grady are world class snowboarders that compete in the halfpipe. They are representing the US in the Winter Classic and both are chosen to go on a promo tour to promote the games. The problem? Four years ago, a tragedy happened and Mia blames Grady for it and she hates him. Grady feels guilt. They have to find a way to work together. Mia had a crush on Grady for years and Grady was more than attracted to Mia. You know the saying there is a fine line between love and hate. Lines are crossed.
This was such a fun romp and I blew through it! I have never read a book about snowboarders or about Olympic athletes and this was such a great change from my usual sports romance. It held my attention entirely. There was of a great balance of snowboard action, steam and hilarity. There was great chemistry between Grady and Mia. The story is told in Grady’s POV with Mia’s POV in the epilogue. The secondary characters are awesome and provided a great set up for future books.
I thoroughly enjoyed every page! Get ready for the Winter Games by picking up this new exciting series!
Once again, Piper Rayne has hit it out of the park! Cold As Ice, book #1 in the Bedroom Games, is the story of Grady Kale and Mia Salter who are both headed to the Winter Games to compete.
The problem, you ask? Well, Mia is Grady’s ex best friends little sister who has had a crush on Grady for YEARS. However, four years ago a tragic accident has changed everything between the two of them and they haven’t spoken since. Now Grady and Mia are stuck together promoting their team in the Winter Games and have to learn to play nice in the public eye.
Cold As Ice was truly enjoyable. It has just the right amount of angst, it was hilarious and oh so sexy. I enjoyed seeing the shift in the relationship between Grady and Mia and the conversations between Grady and his friends (Dex and Beckett) had me laughing out loud! Even though I’m not a snowboarding fan, it was definitely a good change of pace from the normal sports stories and I enjoyed it!
Piper Rayne has given us a fun enemies to lovers sports rom com with a touch of drama thrown in for good measure. I am looking forward to all of the books in the Bedroom Games series!!
Duo authors Piper Rayne are gold star medal winners when it comes to writing their stories. From sexy bartenders to hunky single dads, now we have Olympic class sportsmen and women to while away a few exciting hours.
The Bedroom series starts of with Cold As Ice, Grady and Mia’s story, a friends to lovers tale with a lot of angry altercations.
Grady’s the reigning champion in the snowboarding section and is headed to the Winter Classics to defend his title. Mia, is new on the circuit and is the sister of Grady’s ex-best friend, Brandon She even used to have a crush on him, until something happened in the past that tore their friendships apart.
Things get heated when Mia and Grady as forced to take part in a press tour.
Grady struggles to keep his feeling in check, he felt guilty over the events from 4 years ago.
Mia blames Grady for what happened when she was a teenager, but now she’s older… and wiser and spending time with him, just makes all her old feeling rise to the surface again.
This was classic Piper story-telling. Hot guys, sassy females and heat you could run a kettle on. Steamy times and angsty fighting all make for a rousing read.
Grab your winter gear and take a seat in a sleigh to read Cold As ice, I promise you won’t be freezing for long.
Such a fun book to read leading up to the Winter Olympics, and I’m really looking forward to the next 2!
Mia and Grady’s story was an easy, sweet, and sexy read. I loved that it was low on angst, even with the history that caused a divide between their families finally coming to a head. I really liked both of these characters. Grady’s terrific. Tough and competitive, with a softer side. He was holding onto a lot of guilt because of what happened with him and Mia’s brother, his best friend. Mia was great, strong and just a little bit sassy. She wasn’t afraid to stand up to Grady and let him know what she was thinking.
Being forced to work together leading up to the Winter Games was probably the best thing that could have happened for not just Grady and Mia, but for their families as well.
I can’t wait to see what happens once the games really get started!
(I don’t care what description Piper & Rayne have given the heroes in this series, I will be picturing Gus Kenworthy for all of them because he’s just that adorably hot and I love him.)
