Extreme weather conditions are wreaking havoc on the world, and baffled scientists are unable to discover the cause. The most powerful hurricane in history approaches New York, while at the same time atmospheric rivers flood Las Vegas. Wildfires spread through Canada, and Europe is wracked by powerful earthquakes. Most bizarre of all: a tempestuous mass of dark, foreboding sky seems to be … foreboding sky seems to be spreading across the globe.
In Arizona, an astronomer tries to decipher the hidden message inside a thirteen-thousand-year-old megalithic stone, which just might hold the key to everything.

Love the whole series, can hardly wait for the next one to come out!
The author has crafted a well written story with twist and turns which are a bit unbelievable yet stoke the imagination and is an entertaining read
I detest serialized books! This is a worse case scenario where you the reader are thoroughly lost without having read the previous 47 books!
When looking for interesting books that will keep me turning the page I’m often disappointed, not with this book. The characters are interesting and the story line will keep you glued to your seat. Page after page you move through the adventure rapidly. I really enjoyed the way it was written and this author knows how to make a great story. You will like this book, it keeps your interest better than most.
Another great book by Cartwright!! Stayed up late to finish this one!! Can’t wait for the next one!
A bit over the top but still a good read.
Not terribly realistic but an entertaining read.
Good story, but by the description, I expected more about the crazy weather
Gets a tad detailed but a good story
Quick paced, well written, good story line and wanted to keep finding time to read it. Although this was a book well into a series was still good as a standalone book. Just felt it became a little (and I emphasize “a little”) preachy about climate change at a couple of points. Overall a good read with good characters and I intend to read more in the series.
I liked this book, but the only problem I had is that you really need to read the series in order. This was the first one I read because I got it through Bookbub and there were some things that were hard to follow because I had not read the books that preceded this one. So get them all, and read them in order!
I couldn’t get interested in t story.
I really enjoy the series.
Too much talk and not enough action
Usually when I pick up a book in the middle of a series, I can catch up quickly. However, this time it wasn’t until the middle of the book that I got into it. Didn’t make me want to go back or go forward but it is interesting and kept my attention.
Not one of this authors best. A bit heavy on the technical/science side. Sam was in situations that were not realistic and the fact that he extricated his self from all made this pretty unrealistic. Not a bad read, just not one of his best.
Code To Extinction by Christopher Cartwright and narrated by David Gilmore is an Audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. I loved this book!!! I love the science of things like polar shifts! This has that along with the possibility of end of world and government cover-up, lots of action, adventure, underground tunnels and undersea cities. Very intriguing. The narration is always great . Love it.
A great modern take on conspiracy, terrorism, and the end of the world. Somehow makes far-fetched concepts believable and real.
