How can I put into words how much I love a book when it’s my most anticipated read of the year and it exceeded my expectations. No matter what I say I know I won’t be giving this book the review it deserves but here goes.
In War of Stones we have Sloanes story. She is the daughter of Thane and Kayla who’s stories we’ve read about earlier in the series. She’s got the courage and strength of both parents and she will need that soon enough when she is partnered with Lieutenant Damon stone.
Let me just say I was mentally high fiving the author because I was super excited to read more of Thane (my man in case you haven’t realised yet) , Kayla and the rest of the team.
This is an amazing series and includes my one and only book boyfriend Thane.
I read a lot of books and I’ve got to say this is my favourite series ever. Each book I read in the series gives me goosebumps, the feels, the emotions, for me this series has it all. I’m in awe of an author that can make me feel the way these books do.
I’ve been told this book can be read as a standalone but don’t do it. Go read book one-Ghost. (Just remember he’s mine). You will meet an extraordinary team of Navy Seals. These men are loyal, strong courageous and will fight for what they believe in. You will then want to read the whole series.
I’m really looking forward to taking time out soon to re read the whole series. This is a series that will stay with me forever.
It’s been a day and a half since I read the last page of one of my most highly anticipated books from one of my most favorite authors ever, and the book hangover is still gripping me with a SEAL-like determination. I am struggling to find the right words to express just how PERFECT this book is with all the emotions, the story, the adventure, the people (aka characters who I’m convinced are real), everything.
Sloan is the daughter of a SEAL legend and has embodied the best of both of her parents. She’s tough, stubborn, hilarious, and brave, all wrapped around a soft spot.
Damon owns and breathes the heart of a warrior and everything that encompasses. I definitely would want him to have my six and my 12 and any other direction every and any time.
I loved everything in this story from catching up with Alpha team, seeing how the families have grown up, experiencing the intense terrifying roller-coaster of a ride of Operation Skirt’s Down (truly a sadistic and heinous mission). And then getting to feel all the good, sweet moments wrap all around it, making the heart-wrenching moments all the more worth it for the treasure you get at the end.
I’m thinking this book has become my favorite of the series, but then when I look at any of the previous 6 books, they all are worthy of that title as well. You cannot go wrong by reading and experiencing the adventure and happily-ever-afters Natasza Waters share in her stories.
From the first book in A Warrior’s Challenge Series by Natasza Water, I have anxiously awaited the next release. Code Name: War of Stones was different, I was not ready to face that it is the last book of the series. Once it was released I emerged myself in the world of the Alpha Squad and their families. In this book, all of the characters make an appearance, no one is left behind.
This book walks you straight into Seaman Sloane Austen’s life. As the daughter of the legendary SEAL, retired Admiral Thane “Ghost” Austen and her mother Kayla “Snow White”. With that DNA running through her veins there is no surprise that she not only has the tenacity and determination and will of her father but also the fire and spirit & sass of her mother.
She meets Lt. Damon Stone, a SEAL, now instructor, who like her father as paved his own path into legendary status. They are unbeknownst forced into participating in an “exercise” that has them learning to use their skills and personality traits to pull them through to survive.
As in every book in this series, it’s a “can’t put the book down, page turner” Natasza Waters has a real knack at keeping you involved heart racing. She never skimps on the romance, you will adore these two.
