Being a highly skilled operative for a company like Jameson Force Security is exhilarating and important work…until it comes time to date. I like to keep my profession under wraps for a number of reasons. Some of what we do is top secret, most of what we do is dangerous, and more than one woman has tried to latch onto me because she was more enamored with what I do than who Cage Murdock really … is. And since I’m more of a ‘here for the night’ than a ‘here for forever’ kind of guy, what’s the harm in a little white lie about my job?My harmless deceit has never failed me. Until now. Because I met the most amazing woman and did the unthinkable. I married her. And now my beautiful, unsuspecting, probably-going-to-leave-my-sorry-behind-when-she-finds-out-the-truth wife doesn’t know that I’m not a used car salesman like I told her when we met.As it typically does with lies, the truth is about to come out in a big way when Jaime unwittingly gets herself mixed up with some unsavory characters and I, along with the team at Jameson, have to intervene. Now I need to save my girl and hope I can save my marriage too. Let’s just say I have some serious explaining to do.

Cage and Jaime.
We already heard a bit about them in the last book. This takes place at around the same time.
They met one night in a bar and it was insta attraction and … kinda insta wedding a little bit later.
But unfortunately – or rather because he’s used to doing it with one-night stands – Cage tells her he’s a used-car salesman. Which is pretty far from the truth. He’s obviously an ex SEAL who is now working in private security.
Let the fun times begin.
Another great book in this series!
We finally hear the whole story about Cage’s insta-wedding! LOL!
Cage and Jaime are so perfect for each other. If only he hadn’t lied to her that first night!
I really loved reading this. Funny, sexy and exciting!
Great romantic suspense! Can’t wait for the next two guys – we’ve already been teased!
This could be a really great TV Show!!!
CODE NAME: ROOK was a sexy & funny & exciting 6th book in this romantic suspense series! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Cage – this one is mine!
A sinfully seductive, suspenseful, thrilling, and intriguing journey to go on with Cage and Jaime. Their chemistry is fiery, their connection is beautiful, but their road is definitely rocky. I enjoyed this story.
I love this book so much! Sexy and suspenseful and full of wonderful moments! Don’t miss out!
Code Name : Rook was another great addition to this series. Although not my favorite of this series it still stood up well against the other books.
I have truly enjoyed this series. I love how Sawyer has given us great romance stories with some suspense and drama built in. These stories are truly engaging!!
I also love the characters she gives us. Cage and Jamie were a great match. I also loved that Jamie wasn’t a push over. When the truth finally comes out she makes Cage work for her!!
Definitely a story I would recommend to all Sawyer Bennett fans and if you like a story that is sweet, sexy and with some suspense in it then this is one to read!!
***** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *****
This Jameson Force Security is one of my favorite series from Sawyer Bennett. This series is always high suspense, high action, and so much heat. I can’t get enough and Cage, well Cage is a serious commitment phobe but he’s sweet and caring. He might have stretched the truth a bit about his slightly dangerous career… ok, he totally lied. Apparently, he thinks a boring, mundane job would attract a woman for a one-night stand more than his exciting, occasionally dangerous career. But him and Jaime have a connection and want more than just one night. Jaime is a stickler for honestly after her ex lied. The betrayal was a kick to the gut and really stuck with Jaime. Let’s just see how she handles lies from her newest husband, one she barely knows.
I really enjoyed how this book had the same timeline as Ghosts. I felt like I had bit more info when going into Rook. I really enjoyed these characters. Both Jaime and Cage were fun. Rook was just one of those books, it was just a quick listen. It had a ton of suspense and romance, one of my favorites so far from the entire series! The narration by John Lane and Emma Wilder was just great. They really transport you right into the story! They really went above and beyond for this story!
Sexy, suspenseful, emotional, and totally brilliant!! Couldn’t put it down!
This book is emotional, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!

Lies vs trust…
Strong alpha males. Smart, compassionate women. Yeah, I love coming back to Jameson Force Security for great characters and their always interesting paths to love! Cage was a big part of the team yet he held his personal life back. Regret, grief, guilt. His emotions were tied to his family, to his past, in a way that caused him to shy away from opening up to his teammates and now to Jaime…
Jamie was pulled into the team to keep her safe but also to use her skills to help the team. Missions were going horribly wrong and she was determined to find out why. She was smart and inquisitive so fit right into the band of (effortless) over-achievers. Everyone had her back but Cage was the one she desired…
Oh, their romance was full of all the good things! Suspense, sweetness, laughter. Add in painful revelations and shared moments and their courtship was anything but boring. This story made me laugh and cry which meant Cage and Jaime’s story was a great, emotional read!

If you’ve read the other books you’ll be familiar with Cage. He’s the one who loves what he does is good friends with Anna who works at Jameson Security and also ex-military. Cage and Jaime’s story was great. As a member of Jameson Force Security, we’ve seen Cage be a big part of some their missions. He lives his life for his job and has no problem attracting a lady when he wants one. However he’s happy with one night stands.
*
He doesn’t do relationships until he meets a fiery redhead at a bar one night Jaime, she actually makes the first move and it floors Cage. Unfortunately Cage tells her a bogus story of what he does for a living and it throws a wrench into things.
*
He turns to Anna for advice after seeing Jaime for awhile and she’s not only stunned he’s actually dating someone but that he’s gotten himself into such a mess from lying.
*
Overall it’s another engaging story from the author and each one just gets better! I’ve loved this series from the start and this one is just as great as the rest!

This is a great series and I was excited about the release of a new book.
Cage is a fun, easy going guy who I liked very much. He meets Jaime at a bar, and what they both thought would be a one night stand turns into so much more.
I’ll start by stating that I am one hundred percent partial to the team members at Jameson. I have a soft spot for the men and women who put their lives on the line for others, and I have so much respect for them and what they do. Therefore while Cage might have messed up initially by not being truthful with Jaime about his occupation, I completely understood his reasoning and felt that she should have too. At the very least, she should have listened to his explanation instead of pulling the cold shoulder routine and blowing him off. Granted, Cage should have come clean earlier in their relationship, especially when it became clear how close they were getting. He acknowledged this fact, apologized and took full blame for his mistake. Cage also saved Jaime’s life and potentially her brothers. I didn’t feel that she even appreciated this and I don’t recall her ever saying thank you. So it’s obviously no surprise when I tell you I was very frustrated with Jaime’s character and didn’t like her much towards the end. I kept getting annoyed and putting the book down, which meant it took me longer to finish than it should have.
I’m looking forward to Jackson’s book next and I can’t wait to see what happens between him and the princess he’s sent to protect.
This is the sixth book in the Jameson Force Security Series. I love this Series! Jaime and Cage’s story reminded me True Lies, one of my favorite movies! Jaime is lovely, and strong. Cage is handsome, and protective. The storyline has suspense, lies, and secrets revealed. The secondary characters are great. John Lane and Emma Wilder did a great job with te narration. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend this Series.
I love, love, loved this story! This is one of my favorites in the series so far! The story has ups and downs and it surprised me. It didn’t take the direction I thought it would. These characters make me laugh and smile as I am taken on their journey of love. We have met these characters before (in Ghosts Book) and it’s nice to get more in depth about them.
What I love about these books are the characters that come and go. Most of them show back up in the stories so we get a chance to catch up with them. Other men also get a glimmer of a spotlight on them for mixing with future books. I enjoy that.
I did listen to this on audio. John Lane and Emma Wilder are the narrators. They do a great job. I just love Emma’s “man”voices. John is new to me and he did a good portraying Cage and the others.
I love this series. Men who are kick butt in their work but clueless when it comes to women. Always a twist and a bit of intrigue, of course romance and a laugh or two. References are made to previous books, but not so that you need to go back and start reading from the beginning.
Of course I highly recommend you do. Love how at the end a few teasers are thrown out there for the next books. Oh of course based in my home town, I carefully scour it for accurate details. And as usual spot on.
Code Name: Rook is the 6th book in the Jameson Force Security Series, but can be read as standalone. I love this series. It is one of my all-time favorites of Sawyer Bennett’s and I cannot get enough of it. Since the end of Malik’s story in Code Name: Ghost I have been dying to get my hands on this story. Cage is former Navy Seal and now a member of Jameson Force Security. The book begins back at the beginning of Code Name: Ghost and Cage is seeking a place to drown his sorrows after the emotional turmoil he goes through recovering Malik. There he meets Jamie. The chemistry and fireworks between Cage and Jaime upon first meeting was instant and their chemistry just burned off the pages. The story and plot is fast paced and I could not put it down. I adored Jaime. She has a kind heart, has a strong personality and goes after what she wants. She comes from a close loving family. She is a social worker and works with domestic violence victims. Cage is a former playboy that doesn’t know what to do now that he has met the girl of his dreams and has deceived her from the beginning lying to her about his career. I understood Cage’s hesitancy but I was also frustrated with him and how he handled a few things. As always in this series there is suspense and mystery to uncover and the twist and turns kept me guessing. As always I love the family created amongst the Jameson crew. They are a supportive bunch and I cannot get enough of these characters.
Rook was EVERYTHING!! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I felt like Cage and Jamie’s Story was just the best one yet. Talk about knowing what you want and going for it. They were intense and also sweet. Can I have more of Cage… Please???
5 Sweet Hot Stars!
The Jameson Force series is one of the best things I’ve ever read. Sawyer Bennett is such a talented author! Don’t miss a single word!
Code Name: Rook was a fun and interesting ride! We got a little taste of Jamie and Cage in a different book so I was really looking forward to so much more. Jamie and Cage have an immediate chemistry and click right from the start. Cage is used to being a player and I really enjoyed seeing him wrestle with this brand new experience and feelings. Jamie is a sweet girl who loves to help others. Their relationship is great except for one little white lie that isn’t going away easily. I really enjoyed these two together, they are sexy, sweet and all in. We got some more great glimpses into Jameson Force Security too and it just keeps me more and more interested in this fascinating world!!
Code Name: Rook is a perfect addition to the Jameson Force Security series! It is filled with fantastic characters and a storyline with a perfect balance of romance and suspense that kept me engaged from start to finish!
No relationship should start with a lie as Cage soon realizes when a one night hook up with Jamie turns into so much more. He just couldn’t find the right time to tell her what he really did for work and when the truth comes out, trust is broken. Can they find a way to fix their relationship and find their happily ever after?
I had the added benefit of listening to the audio version and the narrators did a fantastic job and only added to my enjoyment!
Audio Review
I absolutely love this series. Each book has been amazing and Code Name Rook did not disappoint. Cage Murdock is a former Navy Seal and is part of Jameson Force Security so he is no stranger to danger and has been on countless missions but when it comes to matters of the heart Cage is not optimistic. He is more of a one night stand kind of guy so when he does find a hook up he doesn’t tell them about his real job, but however gives them a fake one. When he was blowing off some steam at the bar and a beautiful bold woman approached him he never thought it would be any more that that one night so he said he was a used car salesman. Jaime is celebrating with her friends from her recent breakup. Her ex was liar and a cheat and she is done with that. She thinks Cage will be a good distraction for the night but little did she know he would be so much more.
This is true to the other books in the series as we have the other great characters woven throughout and we have lust and love and all the feels in between but we also have a mission that is dangerous and men and women of Jameson Force Security always save the day. Such a great story and I listened straight through.
John Lane and Emma Wilder were perfect at Cage and Jaime. This was my first time listening to John Lane and hope it isn’t my last. I really enjoyed his voice. I love listening to Emma Wilder so the narration was terrific for me.
I loved this book and highly recommend it. It is a stand alone so you don’t have to have read or listened to the other 5 books in this series but I recommend them as well as they are all great.
