Code Name Nina’s Choice has easily become another one of my top favorite military romance books!! So far, Natasza Waters has rocked each one of her Warrior’s Challenge books and I have faith she won’t stop throughout the rest of the series! Her books definitely have a more realistic feel to them (which is such a welcome change from fiction, and yet sometimes is laughingly annoying how real it is! I love the contrast!)
CNNC has a different feel from the first two books. The first two had more action adventure – this one dealt with more relationships and the challenges both the warriors and their families/loved ones face when trying to build those relationships. Although there is some fun adventure mixed in towards the end (and if you listen to her playlist for this book (http://voicebetweenthelines.com/music…), I was totally hearing the US Navy Tribute song as the soundtrack during the action scenes!) I enjoyed getting to meet back up with Thane and Kayla as well as get to know Tinman better (EEK! I am already falling in love with Tinman and am so excited that his book is next and it should be here soon!!!)
Nina impressed me with her unwavering faith and devotion to Mace. Mace impressed me with his strength and stubbornness and love for Nina and her daughter Gabriella. I could feel the tight-knit brotherhood between the SEAL team and appreciated seeing just how deep their love for each other ran.
If you like military stories that have more grit and depth and real to them, if you like romance, and if you like action you will enjoy this series! I definitely recommend it!!
I was given Code Name: Nina’s Choice for an honest review by Manic Readers
Mace Callahan is very much in-love with Nina Samson and wants to be her guy and the father of her 8 year old little girl. But with every little thing that falls in their path he throws up road blocks and can’t seem to stop himself.
Nina Samson love Mace with everything that she has and when he comes home injured she will do or sacrifice anything to make him better. Even recruit his best friend to make IT happen, including letting him go to another woman. But just when things start working and the world is going in the right direction a blast from her past threatens her future with Mace and the life of her daughter. I would not blame her for giving up and counting her losses but her determination, courage and love keep her fighting the good fight for their future.
I am really glad that Mace finally pulled his head out of his ass and got it together because for a while there I thought that the lying baby daddy was going to do something stupid, oh wait he did do something stupid only to get his sorry butt kicked.
I love everything from the back story to the steamy bedroom scenes and as I have already ready Code Name: Luminous I was really glad to see how Tony and Lumin met. Most of all I really love the authenticity of the characters that makes them seem so life like, Natasza put a lot of detail into everyone of her characters, you can just tell she put a lot of thought into them.
I am so reading the other books in A Warrior’s Challenge series, Natasza is an amazing writing. I told my Navy daughter, who is stationed in Coronado that about this series and how it portrayed Naval men as horn-dogs and she said that it was true they were and I about died laughing at her response before reminding her to be safe.
This review posting contains the body of the review, which is only a portion of the original review which was originally posted here https://laurasbookbinge.wordpress.com/2015/01/30/code-name-ninas-choice-a-warriors-challenge-3-by-natasza-waters/
After the first book of this series, Code Name: Ghost, I immediately bought the second, Code Name: Kayla’s Fire. When I found out there would be another, I couldn’t WAIT to see what would happen next, and to whom, with SEAL Team Alpha. This book, as with the first two, doesn’t disappoint. While the action is more subdued, the heat from romance and suspense of a different type ignite the pages of this wonderfully written military romantic suspense.
This reader is very pleased!
This is an absolutely brilliant story. It is one of the best books I’ve EVER read.
My love for these characters started in Code Name: Ghost and continued in Code Name: Kayla’s fire. I was super excited to read more of these characters in this book.
This is Mace and Nina’s story. The storyline is brilliant. I so wanted an easy life for these characters but I knew Natasza, the author, would not allow that. As I loved these characters so much I felt she was pulling my heart out during parts of this book. I was glued to this book yet afraid to keep reading as I was afraid of what was going to happen.
Natasza you didn’t disappoint me. This book was absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend 1-clicking this book. Actually I highly recommend 1-clicking all three of these books. You won’t be disappointed.
