I knew the risks of this job when I signed on with Jameson Force Security. Knew my time as a marine would prepare me for the danger I would face. But no amount of training could have ever prepared me for the helplessness of watching my teammates die, the agonizing mental and physical pain of torture, or the despair of captivity. Returning home to Pittsburgh following a mission gone wrong, I am … riddled with guilt and haunted by nightmares. I spend my days trying to regain the parts of myself I lost in that desert, the pieces that made me the Malik Fournier I once was. While the physical effects of my torture are fading, the emotional ones are proving much more stubborn and I find solace from the last person I should ever seek such comfort. Anna Tate lost even more than I did in that mission. Now a widow and a single mom to the daughter she gave birth to shortly after her husband’s death, Anna offers me comfort I don’t deserve. As my feelings for Anna grow, I worry that once she learns the truth about what happened, she’ll turn her back on me. I pull her to me just as tightly as I push her away. Hoping this forbidden love will save me from the ghost I’ve become.

Amazing world building and a steamy story
Can’t read this series fast enough. A beautiful love story wrapped up in steam with a sexy hero and a woman who can heal him. Loved Code Name: Ghost!
Code Name: Ghost is part of an amazing series but can definitely be read as a standalone. It’s a beautiful, emotionally charged, inspiring love story with a hero and heroine who earn and deserve every moment of their happily ever after. An absolute MustRead!!
4.5 Stars
Malik and Anna.
We met them both before. Or rather, we’ve been hearing about Malik’s last mission in the last books. The mission went south and two Jameson people died. Malik was captured.
Now he’s finally back home – after five months of captivity.
And Anna. She’s the widow of one of the two guys who didn’t make it back home. And she’s also a new mom – to four months old Avery.
Both Anna and Malik have been through a lot. Too much to try for a happy end again so soon after everything?
LET’S FIND OUT!
Great 5th book!
We finally know that Malik survived and now he’s ready for his happily ever after.
With Anna and baby Avery.
But he feels so guilty for whatever happened in Syria. And Anna is not yet ready for something new, right?
Adorable! And heartbreaking!
I loved reading their story.
This could be a really great TV Show!
Great romantic suspense! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
Also – Ghost is my favorite of all the Jameson covers.
CODE NAME: GHOST was an adorable & heartbreaking 5th book in this romantic suspense series! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Malik – this one is mine!
I luv Malik
I’ve been DYING for this book. I’ve heard so many things about Malik and what happen to him so I was dying to get his book after finding out he had been found. Sometimes we didn’t know if we would get to see him or know more about him. Malik hasn’t had it easy over the last 5 months being captive he didn’t know what was goin to happen to him if life was goin to end or if he was goin to get another chance. My heart broke for him he is such a great guy and the guilt he carried for Sal and Jimmy was hard for him. Even though there wasn’t anything he could do the guilt was just to strong. Now being back and at Jameson he needed his life back and he would prove he could be the guy he once was. But there is one thing that’s changed and that’s Anna. She is now working for Jameson and her life isn’t the same her husband is died and she has a beautiful baby girl. But know Malik was seeing her different and he found this very hard to deal with.
Anna what can I say about her she is an amazing woman. She is so strong and independent and I don’t know how. Life hasnt been good losing Jimmy wasn’t easy she was pregnant and he was everything they weren’t married long they had plans she never thought she would be a single mother so young. No matter what was thrown at her she came back fighting Avery was her life and she would do whatever she could to make there life easy. That was until Malik came back with all his gorgeousness. She never thought she would look at someone else like that never mind someone that was once close to Jimmy.
This book was so good I luvd the story. Malik and Anna so deserved a second chance in life and together they just made the perfect couple. The way she was with both Anna and Avery just melted my heart. Anna need someone to take care of her even though she was independent and wanted to do everything for herself Malik made her see that she did need help and it was ok to get some. I just luv them. I would highly recommend this book everything about was great if you don’t fall I’m luv with Malik and Anna there is something wrong. I now need Cage’s book omg I need this book so much after the side story in this bring it on.
5 phenomenal stars! I have been anxiously awaiting Malik Fournier’s story and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This book is everything I hoped it would be and so much more! It was also such a relief as his fate had been hanging in the balance for a while now. Sawyer Bennett really pulled out the stops to make sure this amazingly strong man (strength of will and heart) got the story and HEA he so truly deserved! After everything he went through at the hands of his captors for all those months, it’s no wonder he even has a gentle bone left in his body. But this sexy swoony man has all the gentleness in the world for Anna and her baby girl Avery. Things are slightly complicated for Malik and Anna, but fear not, this is a romance after all! I absolutely loved this book! One of my faves in this series so far!!!!
I love the Jameson Force Security series and I have to say Malik is my favorite. I am rooting for Malik and Anna. Can heartache bring these two together? Such an amazing series.
As you can see from the title, this is part of a series. You probably can read it as a stand-alone. Anna and Malik have a good storyline for their book. This book is not as suspense-filled as some of the other Jameson books, but I like that about it. These 2 must overcome some past situations to get to their future. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
After five months of captivity, Malik has finally been rescued and brought home. With a heavy heart and a tremendous amount of guilt, Malik connects with the widow of one of his teammates that was lost on the same mission. Anna feels an emotional connection with the man who was with James when he died and feels he understands her more than the rest. Will the two be able to find love within the pain? Or will Malik be too wrapped up in guilt and blame to open his heart? As with the rest of the Jameson Force Security series once you pick this book up you will not be able to put it down. Filled with beautifully written characters, a storyline filled with turmoil and heartache and the sense of something important is going to happen this was a fabulous read. Once again the reader comes away from a book with the feeling of hope and fulfillment.
I don’t know that I have ever been more excited or impatient for Sawyer Bennett to release a book than I was for Code Name: Ghost. I have been chomping at the bit for this story and my level of excitement when it hit my kindle was outrageous!
Malik Fournier has been saved. He’s finally back in the U.S. and now recovering from the months he was held captive. That changes a person, and while physically he’s recovering quite well, the guilt he feels for the loss of two men is somewhat consuming. He wasn’t looking for someone to comfort him, but he found her, in the last person he thinks he should be leaning on.
Anna Tate is a single mom. She’s also the widow of one of the men that was lost in the mission where Malik was taken. She’s been praying for his safe return and her prayers were answered when he was brought back. She offered friendship to Malik while he recovers, what they both got was much more than they bargained for.
I love every book that Sawyer has written, and the Jameson Force books are some of my all-time favorites, but honestly, none of them compare to Code Name: Ghost in my opinion. This book was seriously amazing, full of love and friendship, but also a little darkness. I couldn’t get enough of Malik and Anna as two separate characters and as characters together. They both have been through something life altering, and while Malik experienced it first hand, that doesn’t take away from the pain Anna felt either. Watching them navigate their feelings was beautiful to read. Hands down the best book in the Jameson series, and that’s saying a lot because I’m in love with all of them!
A beautifully captivating and intriguing story. Malik and Anna embark on an emotional journey of grief, moving on, learning to live, and most of all finding love. I feel like I have waited for Malik’s story for a long time and it was definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed, loved, and adored this book.
This book is emotional, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
He’s home following months of captivity. She’s the widow of his fallen teammate. Code Name: Ghost is a forbidden romance standalone within the Jameson Force Security series. Available now in digital, print, and audio (narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose).
4.5 stars
This has got to be my favorite of this series so far. There are a few reasons I think that may be, but I’m not sure if I’m right. Malik was missing in action from the same skirmish Anna’s husband lost his life. Since this is their story, it was bound to be deep and emotional. I love me some deep and emotional, especially when there’s also humor thrown into the mix. And Sawyer Bennett is always sure to give her characters wit and humor. Although suspense is not my favorite genre, I usually enjoy it quite a bit. This is the only book in this series that is not a suspense story so it had me rethinking my preferences. Maybe I liked it more because it didn’t have that element? Hmmm…Then I realized how much time the other stories are spent away. I believe the fact that Anna and Malik spend most of their times at “home base”, so to speak, was a plus for me. There was no getting to know a new locale or new people. And there’s the final thing. Anna and Malik are already known. I already had a connection to them from the way they are woven throughout the other books that came before this one. All these things put together had me more invested in this story. Not that the other stories in the series aren’t great. This one is just a touch above the others for me.
Although Malik and Anna have chemistry from the start, it’s a different kind of chemistry at first. It’s this deep understanding of one another. The things they went through, and are still going through, are the same but much different. Nobody can fully understand Anna’s position and her feelings, and nobody can truly know the feelings of guilt and relief that fight for control in Malik’s heart and mind. Yet somehow they can understand each other more than anyone else.
Malik is amazingly sweet. Which shouldn’t surprise me since I “know” his whole family from this author’s other series. I loved seeing him draw so much strength from his family and the way he leaned on them when he needed to. Also, the way they gave him the space he needed. I think all of that helped Malik to understand what Anna needed from him.
It’s always a tricky thing when there’s a dead spouse involved in a love story. It makes a love triangle when there really isn’t one, at least not physically. The author does a lovely job of respecting the relationship Anna had with her husband, Jimmy, while also showing that there are different types of romantic love. The love Anna finds with Malik isn’t better or worse than what she had with Jimmy, but it’s much different. She never looked to him to be a replacement husband or father, and I appreciate that.
More and more, I’m finding enjoyment in getting to know the men and women of Jameson Force Security. I have a feeling Cage’s story is going to be as comedic as it is intense. That man already has things twisted up by the end of this book, and it’s not even his own story yet.
Malik is no longer a Ghost
Malik has been missing for months when Jameson gets intel with regards his whereabouts. After his rescue, he takes some time to recoup with his family Now he’s back at work but before he’s cleared for duty, Kynan wants him to spend time with their councillor.
Anna’s main reason for joining Jameson was to help find Malik. Now he’s back and they’ve forged a friendship which quickly turns into more Loved the chemistry and characters and Cage’s situation is hilariously funny and I’m looking forward to see how he digs himself out of his predicament
This is the fifth book in the amazing Jameson Force Security Series. I love this Series! This is a beautiful contemporary romance, and a great addition to the Series. I loved to follow Malik and Anna’s in their journey to happiness. They are perfect together. The storyline is emotional, sweet, sexy, and beautiful. I love these interconnected Series with characters intertwined! The family spirit, and the friendship in this story is wonderful. Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose did a fantastic job with the narration. I love their voices together! I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listen to the next installment in the Series, Code Name: Rook.
What an incredible listen that had me completely addicted. I have waiting for Malik’s story and wondering how it was going to turn out. Malik is a survivor from being taken captive and then subsequently rescued. He and Anna form what starts as a friendship and is so heart warming to read about. I love how this story developed and seeing how the characters grew from their broken histories and then come together was really heartwarming.
Audio Review
I couldn’t wait to listen to this book, it is book 5 in the Jameson Force Security Series and just knowing Malik was captured and awaiting rescue has had me hoping for a good outcome for him. The author didn’t disappoint.
When Malik makes it back to headquarters he has lots of demons to deal with and the person to help him heal is the last person he could imagine being the one to get his life back with.
Anna was dealt a devastating blow with her husband Jimmy was killed in the same mission that Malik was captured in. She had her daughter and has been holding it together all these months with the help of the Jameson Force family. She had taken a special interest in helping to locate Malik and her job with Jameson was part of that rescue. She never knew though she would rescue both him and her in another way.
This is a great story with emotions and depth, pain and healing and life. Well written and I really enjoyed it.
Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose were great as Malik and Anna. The emotion that was needed for this story was there and they kept my attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed listening to both of them.
I loved this book and highly recommend it. It is part of a series but each book is about specific characters so you don’t have to have listened/read the others to enjoy this one but they are all good so I encourage you to listen to them as well.
Code Name: Ghost, for me, was the most anticipated book in the Jameson Force Security series and it has definitely lived up to all of my expectations!
We have been hearing about Malik throughout this series, knowing he was captured, hoping for his rescue wondering how he was going to fair once he was back.
Although he and Anna only met once before when the men were all leaving for the mission that went so bad, now that he is back they have gotten to know each other. They have a special shared bond that brings them closer together as they are both struggling with loss and trying to move on. It is in their bond that they are each able to put many of the broken pieces back together and what starts out as friendship grows into something much bigger.
I just loved these two. Their strength, their passion and their perseverance! I have also had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of this story and the narrators have done an amazing job of bringing these characters to life!
In this book, we follow Malik as he returns home after a mission that changed him forever. He is trying to cope with the loss of his friends and he finds solace in Anna, his fallen friend’s wife. He knows it’s wrong, but she makes him feel things he’s never felt before.
I am a sucker for those romances that is forbidden. While it’s not the same level as other ones, in Malik’s eyes, it is forbidden. It’s against the ‘bro code’ as he would call it. It’s hard for him to accept love, and it’s even harder because he feels responsible for her husband’s death.
Anna is stuck in between being a mother and being a woman. She has loyalty to her husband but struggles with the idea that she also wants to live. The struggle that both Anna and Malik have in this story is very real and I liked how Bennett shows how hard it is to deal with loss. The only thing that I wished i would have seen more is that struggle with Malik and his coping. He was very accepting of it right out of the gate and while there was some struggle, it just felt like there would be more. Maybe even some PTSD?
