** A USA Today Bestselling Novel **Years ago, we were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar and I was the security professional hired to keep her safe. We fell hard and fast, no matter how much we tried to resist one another. But not everyone around us was happy about our relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what we once had. I moved on from her and didn’t look back. Now … back.
Now I’ve taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, and I’m looking to rebrand my career. The newly crowned Jameson Force Security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing I have time for is to deal with my past.
More than a decade has passed since our split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to me for help, I reluctantly agree to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.
As the danger continues to intensify, it becomes clear that I’ll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on me all those years ago. Because one thing is certain—no matter how hard I try to convince myself otherwise, Joslyn still has my heart.

Sawyer Bennett has written a fabulous first book for this Wicked Horse spinoff series. We are being introduced to an eclectic mix of intriguing characters who hopefully each get there own stories. I am hooked already. As for Kynan and Joslyn….whew are they HOT together.
I was introduced to these characters and this spin off as part of the Kristen Proby Crossover collection and was completely intrigued on Kynan and Jocelyn.
This new series starts off 12 years after we first met them. They have split after Jocelyn left without an explaination and Kynan is now the owner of the security firm they first met through.
Jocelyn is forced to seek Kynan’s help when she finds herself dealing with a scary stalker and when she comes face to face with him for the first time he acts like a complete ass. So much so I wanted to hit him in the balls. Her reaction to his inappropriate behaviour made me love Jocelyn more and more as she remained dignified.
Neither one of them has truly moved on over the last 12 years and whilst I didn’t like Kynan’s actions I could understand he was acting out of pain from not knowing why they had split. When he hears why Jocelyn is there his protective side comes out in spades and he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
Once I started this I was hooked. The main characters along with the secondary characters kept me enamoured and interested, especially the new members of the Jameson Force Security team. The suspenseful storyline kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. The pace was good and kept you completely engaged. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next with this series.
Two souls left scorned by one another twelve years prior, Kynan McGrath and Hollywood sensation Joslyn Meyers are soon trust into each other’s orbit when the unthinkable happens.
As his new firm is beginning to take on clients, his old flame, Joslyn, reaches out, desperate for help with her life on the line and he simply cannot refuse.
While assembling a team to make up his new high profile security firm, Jameson Force Security, I find myself more and more drawn to each and every new team member, wanting to learn more about each of these characters and what makes them tick.
With high octave suspense and a fire left burning between two characters that was never fully extinguished, Code Name: Genesis is truly a force to be reckoned with and a read that will keep you enthralled until the very end.
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Lit-Up My Mind
As soon as Sawyer Bennett revealed her new Jameson Force Security series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Code Name: Genesis and get to know Kynan McGrath – a hot British alpha male badass who runs the security agency. Plus, his story is a second chance romance 12 years in the making, and I’m a huge fan of this kind of story, especially when it’s clear that there are still deep feelings between he and Joslyn Meyers as well as too many words left unspoken.
Let me start by saying that it took me awhile to get passed Kynan’s asshole behavior when he initially reconnects with his first love. I get that he’s still anger and hurt over how things ended and wants to prove to himself and to Joslyn that she’s nothing but a job to him now…12 years later, but his callousness made me want to junk punch him. He’s a grown man playing games, and it pissed me off that he acted this way, and I didn’t understand why Jos didn’t hold him accountable for his bs move.
But, as Kynan and Jos reconnected, sorting through their feelings of anger and betrayal, Kynan made it his primary mission to protect her from a stalker who seems hellbent on making her his, which went a long way in helping me get over my initial feelings toward Kynan, and I have to give him credit, he proved himself to Jos and to readers by talking things out with her and telling her exactly how he feels with her back in his life.
The events of Kynan and Joslyn’s story seem to occur at warped speed, making the timeline quite short, and while I didn’t really mind how quickly things occurred, it did make it difficult to connect with the main characters and understand the magnitude of their feelings for one another despite the time spent apart.
Despite my few issues with the story, though, I did enjoy Code Name: Genesis, and I’m completely intrigued by the new team members of Kynan’s security team, so much so, that I can’t wait for their stories. There’s a reason Kynan hired them, especially given their particular skillsets and their wrap sheets, and I’m interested to see what baggage they come with and just how dangerous they are as both alpha characters as well as security team members in whatever capacity Kynan needs them.
I’m so ready for Code Name: Sentinel.
4 Poison Apples
Great start to a new series. I’ve been wanting to read this story since I saw the pre order and it did not disappoint. It sets the scene for a great series. This book is a second chance story and I loved the drama and the characters. It was a real page turner that I read in one sitting.
I love this author and every one of her series! I was looking forward to reading this after reading Kynan and Joslyn’s first book, but when I started reading this, there was a moment where I knew I was going to start off hating Kynan, but it quickly turned around. This was a great book, start to finish, just enough suspense to keep me on the edge and plenty of romance to feed my appetite for a happily ever after!
5 Great Start to a New Series Stars!!!
The minute I read the blurb for this newest book by Ms. Bennett I was hooked!! This story is literally the best of two worlds… romantic suspense and a re-do of love. Both Kynan and Joslyn appear to have moved on from a breakup that devastated Kynan but when they’re forced to work together, at her insistence, old feelings resurface.
I loved how this story developed and played out and the suspense element of it had me on the edge of my seat. The fire these two had over a decade ago has only grown with the years they were apart. Kynan is bound and determined to not fall for Joslyn again, but love sometimes has its own ideas and clearly, these two are meant to be together.
Ms. Bennett has done a fabulous job in writing a story that grabbed me from the first page keeping me enthralled through the entire book. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!
“ . .”
Sawyer Bennett delivers a sexy, alpha-licious batch of heroes with her brand new heart-pounding romantic suspense series, . Up first is : , where we fall hard and fast for Kynan and Joslyn. The journey to their happily ever after was not an easy one…it was full of emotion, passion, angst, and animosity. But it the end, there was nothing left but pure unadulturated love. This was such a tremendous start to what is sure to be another favorite series of mine by Ms. Bennett. Bring on the next alpha!

Wow. This book was something else.
Loved the storyline and all the characters and their connection between them all.
Fell in love with Kynan and Joslyn from reading the short story in Cocktales and I’ve been itching to find out how they faired.
Well they faired extremely well considering all the stalker business in as much as I loved the way they connected again regardless of what happened in their past. This to me was a truly beautiful story of two young loves who were wronged but found each other again 12 years later and what a steamy storyline and HEA.
We first meet Kynan McGrath in the Wicked Horse Series and I was so excited to see he has finally got his own book and HEA. Code Name: Genesis is book one in the new Jameson Force Security Series and if this book is anything to go by this is going to be another hit for the very talented Sawyer Bennett. This story is everything you would expect in a great read and it certainly ticked all my boxes.
If you love a good suspense romance this should certainly be a must read for you but it doesn’t end there this book will appeal to second chance romance lovers as well. Kynan is a swoon worthy hero ho stole my heart and I’m really not sure I will ever get it back, Jos is the girl that walked away from him all those years ago and now she needs his protection but is protection the only thing on the cards when they find themselves living under the same roof ………
I loved all the characters in this book and can’t wait for the guys and gals from Jameson Force to get their own stories, this was a book that captivated me from the first page to the very last line and I’m sure if you one click you will feel the same. A brilliant start to a new series.
This is the first book in a new series by Sawyer Bennett. The leading male character Kynan is from a different series of hers, Wicked Horse Vegas but you do not have to have read that series to fall in love with this book. For this reader, I am not familiar with the Wicked Horse Vegas series but I am familiar with this author as I’ve read other series by here. Just as with the other books I’ve read, I’m drawn in right from the start and it doesn’t stop.
Kynan and Joslyn have been apart for 12 years and the “reunion” so to speak is not what you would expect. This book as several twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat and even at times wanting to throw your kindle because of something that one of the characters does. Being the start of a new series we get glimpses of the future characters that I am looking forward to reading.
The author did a wonderful job with the surprises, mystery, heat level, laughs and overall ups and downs that Kynan and Joslyn go through. I love when it is difficult to figure out where the book is going to go and taken by surprise with what happens and there were several times that occurred with this book. It was not an easy book to have to put down as life got in the way. I’m excited for the next book in this series.
5 star Review Code Name Genesis (Jameson Force Security #1) by Sawyer Bennett
I have been intrigued by Kynan since he was first mentioned in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and was excited to read the beginning of his and Joslyn’s story in Wicked Force.
Code Name: Genesis picks up many years after Kynan McGrath and Joslyn Meyers first met and fell in love. However outside forces managed to keep them apart and thanks to lies and treachery they parted ways.
When fate brings them back into one another lives, will the connection and love they once shared still be felt? Kynan cannot help himself when Joslyn comes to him afraid for her safety and he is drawn back in as though the 10 years have never been.
As the danger continues to escalate, can Kynan find out who is behind it and in turn save the women he still loves or will all be lost?
This book was well written, exciting to read, emotional and at times intense as Kynan and Joslyn struggle not only with their past but with the danger that has become apart of their lives.
I really loved these characters and was captivated as Sawyer Bennett wove her story; in fact I was glued to the book from start to finish and I didn’t want it to end.
This is the first book in the new Jameson Force Security series and WOW…….it definitely had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was to come! Kynan is the sexy Brit and owner of the security company hired to protect his ex and superstar Joslyn from a psychotic stalker. The two of them being thrown together because of this dire situation has them coming to terms on what tore them apart and rekindling a love that never truly died. This story was an intense, all-consuming, suspenseful read that had me inhaling the pages so quick that when it came to an end I wanted so much more!
Squeez!! This is my jam all the way! A new series, terrific writing, fabulous characters, a dangerous mission and a steamy romance. Everything I’ve come to expect from this amazing author and her wonderful storytelling. The owner of the new group, Jameson Force Security is Kynan, a hunky Brit with a sexy accent, a dominant personality and killer skills. His first mission is keeping a former flame alive and try to avoid left over feelings. Not happening when the former flame is a beauty and his only love. Joslyn left Kynan based on bad information but she trusts him to save her from a devious stalker out to kill her. She’s also never gotten over Kynan. They’re a sexy couple with real feelings. In the midst of his mission Kynan is also setting up a new office and hiring personnel for his new group. Great secondary characters in this story especially the super hacker, Bebe. Exciting action that takes the reader on a thrill ride while trying to catch a dangerous killer that challenges the JFS group. Not to be overlooked is the sizzling romance between Kynan and Joslyn. A fantastic romance suspense! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
If you like hot alpha males you need to read Sawyer Bennett’s books. Nobody can write a sexy alpha like her. This story is another 5 star read. It has it all. It’s sexy, suspenseful and a great read.
Kynan and Joslyn have a super complicated past that ended do to some shady shizzzzzz.
Also she is super famous and he likes to fly under the raider, so like what could really go wrong?
I will tell ya what doesn’t go wrong….the sex! It’s great, Kaynan has learned some things since the last time they were together and I think Joslyn likes it! Kaynan was born to protect, and that is just what he does when Jos finds herself in a pickle.
Sparks fly, and the rest is history. I love second chance at romance and this one had it all!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Kynan McGrath can multitask between business and his personal time. Joslyn Meyers is in a position where things seem a little surreal. I loved that even though our author is starting a new series, she sneaks in a mention of another. Upon further investigation, I’ve actually met Kynan before. You may have also if you follow the author’s Wicked Horse Vegas Series.
If you’ve not read the book Wicked Favor, than you may want to start there first so you can get the full effect of who Kynan really is. One thing I missed the first time around, or just don’t remember, is that he has an accent. If you have read the book before, and it may have been awhile since it came out in 2017, you may want to take a second look. Knowing he has his own book now you may see him through a different set of eyes. I certainly will read with an accent the next time around. But there’s still the fact of the history between our couple. For that you need to check out the book Wicked Force and that is one that I have not read yet. You certainly don’t need to read either book in order to enjoy this story.
Things happened in our main characters past that have led to some distrust. They are both now older since they first met but will it be a walk down memory lane. Besides hot and steamy our author gives us some action and adventure. Even though Kynan sets us up for the rest of the series nothing seems rushed or felt like scenes went on too long. I liked how the author created a male character that seems like this stoic alpha male but every once in a while you’ll see how compassionate he can be. I also liked how our author created a female character that had some personal concerns but wasn’t afraid to ask for help from a man she’s so unsure of. And the author knows what type of ending her couple needs. I look forward to seeing where this series is going to go. It will be some time before the second book will be coming out so that gives me plenty of time to go back and get to know Kynan from the beginning.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
CODE NAME: GENESIS – the first book in what will be another amazing Sawyer Bennett series – with a character we first met in her Wicked Horse Vegas series: Kynan. Oohh, how happy I am that he finally got his story! And it was definitely worth the wait.
Kynan and Joslyn. Boy, to say these two complicated things in ways that they shouldn’t be complicated is a huge understatement. That reason they had their relationship end abruptly all those years ago had me frowning … quite a bit. It was a rather long learning curve for them to realize that communication is the alpha and omega in any functioning relationship. Those hiccups made it hard for me to really ‘get’ these two as each person, even though they were good people at their core, but especially as a couple. But once it clicked and they were all-in for one another – I was most definitely too!
A stalker, shocking moments, questionable actions, suspenseful and mysterious moments, spiked with a good dose of danger and with a whole lotta smexy and sweet going on too – this is your typical Sawyer Bennett read that has you turning the pages – even if you want to sash your ereader sometimes because of the whole lot of misunderstanding going on.
There are quite a few promising secondary characters in here as well, which has me counting the days to have Cruce’s story in my hands next… I cannot wait!
YES! YES! YES! So flipping amazing. This new series from Sawyer Bennett is going to outstanding if this first book is anything like the rest!
Jameson Force Security, new name, new owner and a whole lot of fun. Kynan McGrath is one hot Brit! He now owns this brute security company after buying out Jericho. WE all know him from the Wicked Horse series.
When the damsel in distress is none other than his first real love, Kynan jumps in to take her case, rather reluctantly. Second chances are always the best when a crazy stalker is involved!
I loved this book, devoured it in a day! Cannot wait for book two, we get to meet Cruce Britton! Oh Yeah, bring it on!!!
*****3.5 Stars*****
Code Name: Genesis is the first book in the Jameson Force Security series. If you’ve read the Wicked Horse Vegas series then you’ve previously been introduced to Kynan McGrath. This is a spin off series of Wicked Horse Vegas. Jocelyn is Kynan’s ex-girlfriend. She dropped him when she found out some rather unsettling information about him. Now she needs his help as she’s got a stalker, and it’s turned violent. I’ve been stewing over writing this review for a couple weeks now. I love this author and have read everything that she has written, but this book I struggled to get through. I really thought that Kynan was a jerk in the story, didn’t feel he was an alpha male, thought he behaved more like a petulant child with his treatment of Jocelyn. Jocelyn went through a traumatic situation and takes all the nonsense he throws at her and does nothing. I didn’t feel the chemistry with the characters, and when they get together, the story ends. The story line had so much potential, but just kind of fell flat with me. Overall, it wasn’t bad, just was ok though. Hope this helps. Happy Reading!
