Master thieves sin and saint, a perfect match
CODE NAME HEIST is the third book in the Jameson security series.
After serving time in prison for theft Saint Belliner joins the team at Jameson security with the intention of going straight. When a job comes in to go undercover and and get on the team that has a huge heist coming up Saint is the man for the job with his skills and ability and his reputation in the field, obviously his new crime boss who has his own private and secret collection of stolen paintings, jewels etc isn’t aware of Saints intention of taking him down but he then finds himself in a huge compromising position when he meets his team members for the job and is faced with the woman he once loved and the woman who betrayed him and got him sent to prison, Sindaria Weston .
Sindaria Weston AKA Sin has always known the life of crime and was taught first by her father who is also a master thief, she is skilled and talented and can crack any lock.
Saint and Sin have both pretty much been thieves their whole lives, starting off with small thefts when younger and progressing to more high end heist, going from one job to another and from one thrill to another.
Sin and Saint fell in love while doing a job, being on the same team and they had plans and dreams to one day go straight and have normal lives until the end of a job came and Saint gets caught and goes to prison.
This isn’t a happy reunion for Saint but Sin had her reasons for doing what she did all those years ago and the two gradually and eventually pick up where they left off while also focusing on the job at hand while Sin also doesn’t know that Saint has now gone straight, and is undercover.
The story held my interest and kept me turning the pages, It was a good story, it reminded me of a few films I have watched, Entrapment being one starring Catherine Zeta Jones. I liked it, but it lacked the angst, hotness, danger and excitement, I normally like in an action type of book like this but I did enjoy it, it was a steady paced read, .
I am looking forward to the next book in the series and was disappointed that I didn’t feel the same connection to the team in this book as with previous books, it lost the Jameson family feel so I will have to get my fix in the next book as things are also happening behind the scenes in the Jameson team too somethings that were happening in the background separate from Sin and Saints story which i’m sure will be revealed in the next book.
CODE NAME HEIST is a good second chance romance with suspense and action. Told in first person dual pov leading to a hea, can be read as a standalone.
Saint might NOT be a saint per say but we can also say the same thing about Sindaira aka Sin .. they both have the right and wrong name for the profession they have come to know .. that is in there blood and in there hearts.
They both want this to be there last job just for two different but also the same reason. They have history but can they have a future after all they go thought and for what they have all ready have gone through.
Saint feels the hurt Sin caused him everyday missing his mom but if he knew why she did what she did maybe just maybe love will out weigh the good than the bad …
With this one last job to complete without the jurisdiction and help of the Jamison Group per say Saint will have to pull off Miracle if he wants to keep himself and Sin ALIVE !!
The thrill of the ups and downs of the heists .. the love these two have for each other and the hope for a future is incredible ! The detail of each heist, the safe cracking detail was understandable, making you think you were right there .. click after tick after click !!
Loved it !!
Twelve years have passed since Kynan’s world was turned upside down by one Joslyn Meyers when she walked out of his life with no explanation as to why. Kynan has since taken over Jameson Group and is in the process of changing it to Jameson Force Security where they will be taking on more dangerous missions than what they were doing at Jameson Group. Kynan’s phone rings and he can not believe it when Racheal tells him Josyln is with her and needs his help. His first response is no as he wants nothing to do with her anymore but when he hears that she has a stalker and her life is in danger, old feelings start to surface and he feels the need to protect her again. As things start to heat up with Joslyn’s stalker Kynan realizes that he still loves Joslyn even after all the years, lies and deception and will protect her with his life.
Code Name: Genesis is the continuation of Kynan and Joslyn’s story. This story had lots of angst to it and was interesting to see, and have confirmed, what had happened to cause the split between Kynan and Joslyn. I am glad these two got their HEA with each other.
Code Name: Genesis is the first book in the Jameson Force Security series by Sawyer Bennett which can be read as a standalone or as the first novel in the Jameson Force Security series and is written from the point of view of Kynan and Joslyn. I recommend this novel and give Code Name: Genesis 4 stars.
Years ago we were in love. More than a decade has passed since our split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to me for help, I reluctantly agree to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life. I really enjoyed this book, the characters were likable, the sex was hot and the story line was interesting and engaging, overall this was a great read.
This is book 2 in the Jameson Force Security series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone although I recommend reading the first book just so you know how the company started and the relationships between characters. This one is about Cruce Britton and Barrett Alexander. Cruce thought he had left Washington behind after leaving the secret service but the president comes asking for a favor-he doesn’t feel like he can refuse. Barrett is the leading scientist for clean energy who is on the verge on making a breakthrough that could change the world. But now there are other factions who may want what she has discovered. And it is Cruce’s job to keep her safe. And when they realize that they are more than just attracted to each other, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Cruce and Barret made me laugh right from the start and I loved the banter they have together. Along with the unbelievable chemistry!! She is beyond smart and tends to stay in her own little world while working but Cruce figures out ways to manage that while not making her angry which I really liked. Cruce is this unbelievably protective and yet sweet man and you can’t help but like him. Barrett is definitely a braniac but she is still down to earth and likable-which isn’t usually the case with people like that. The story itself was beyond great-my only drawback was because I listened to it on audio. The dual narration got to me a bit. Jason Clarke does a great job-I loved his voice and his accent for Kynan was off the charts hot! The problem I had was the going back and forth between him and Lucy Rivers. Her narration for Barrett was great but hearing him and Lucy go back and forth for the male characters (and her difference in accent for Kynan as well) just really bugged me. I had a hard time with listening because of it but pushed through because I was really enjoying the actually the story. Other than that-storyline was great!
Another engaging reads from this author. If you enjoy a romantic suspense story then this book is for you! A alpha Male set to keep safe a super smart woman and the attraction that they cant fight. Kept me entertained and guessing the entire story.
Another Sawyer Bennett book on my Kindle – let me at it!
I enjoyed the first book in the Jameson series, but I really, really enjoyed Code Name: Sentinal.
Cruce and Barrett’s story is a great romantic suspensy story with so much heat between our lovelies that you know that they are just going to burn up the sheets.
I did get frustrated at Barrett that time she did the one thing she was told not to do, and she had to know it was a stupid thing to do, right? Especially for someone at her genius level. However I know it had to play that way for the story to move forward. I wanted to slap her with my Kindle though!
I love the big, apha-y men of Jameson security. it was great getting more of Kynan and Joslyn, and there are so many great characters that just need to have their story told *cough cough Saint cough cough*
Please don’t make me wait too long, Ms Bennett.
I really loved the characters in this book. Cruce and Barrett were both well written and rounded believable characters. There was a good mix of love, tension and suspense. My only disappointment was that the city of Pittsburgh was just really mentioned not really prominently in the book. Can’t wait for more.
OMG! I always think Sawyer Bennett can’t top herself, but she definitely did it with Code Name: Sentinel! Cruce and Barrett were absolute perfection. His strong, forceful nature juxtaposed against her focused need to complete her research. I always enjoy a political angle and the environmental spin was a nice feature. I’m so excited to continue reading this series!
This is the second book in the Jameson Force Security series. Cruce is a former secret service member and newly hired to work on the security force. Barrett is a workaholic scientist working on figuring out a ground breaking concept. When there is concern of her safety, her uncle, the President of the Us, hires the Jameson group to protect her, specifically Cruce. I really love this series. It has the perfect proportion of romance to action, intrigue, and mystery. Nothing was too over the top and it was a fun romanctic suspense story. I’m looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
One of the things I love best about author Sawyer Bennett is her diversity. Every one of her series is completely different and has an authentic feel in every book while still having the Sawyer Bennett brand. Her latest new series is in the romantic suspense genre and is loaded with action packed suspense and slow burning passion. Code Name: Sentinel is the second book in The Jameson Force Security series.
Cruce was a former member of the Secret Service when he retired and moved to Jameson Force Security. The President of the United States calls him for a favor. A favor that he can only entrust to Cruce and the Jameson Force Security. His niece, Barrett Alexander, is a scientist working on an energy project that will change the world. This top secret project has placed her in danger and the source of danger is unknown. He wants Cruce to protect Barrett personally and the Jameson Force to find out who is being the threats.
The closer Barrett gets to the finish line the higher the danger escalates. Crude is forced to take drastic measures to protect her life. He needs to get her out of DC and away from Jameson headquarters. The perfect solution is hiding out on a private island posing as rich newlyweds. Being on a secluded island together is a chance for both of them to see work isn’t the most important thing in their life and down time is necessary. Taking these drastic measures and precious moments will lead falling in love while still changing the world. But first they need to eliminate the danger.
Sawyer Bennett created an action packed romantic suspense that kept me fully engaged until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet moments as much as the moments charged with danger. The characters came to life and jumped off the pages. I can’t wait to see what comes next for The Jameson Force Security.
The second installment in this series is even hotter than the first. Cruse and Barrie light the pages on fire and keep you on the edge of your seat as they try to outsmart those that want Barrie’s brain and formula. You will laugh and you will cry and at the end you will shout for joy!
This is Cruce and Barrett’s story. Cruce left the Secret Service to join the Jamieson Group. He hasn’t been there long before the d the President, who he saved from assignation, ask him to protect his niece Barrett. She is a intelligent young scientist who is on the verge of a great discovery. When scientists start being g murder, Cruce is ask to step in and protect her.
I love a good bodyguard story. The angst was kept at a minimum. I love how Cruce showed Barrett there was more to life than her work and she needed to take time to live. This couple had great chemistry
Those last few chapters made the hair my arms raise. I wasn’t sure how this could end well. Great story and great series
Spectacular start to a new series
The more I read of Sawyer’s books, the more I’m convinced she can write any genre and make it a phenomenal story
For some reason I put off reading this story, but probably because I got bogged down with ARCs and put those first…but suffice to say I saw book two is coming out soon so I wanted to ensure that I’d read this one so I can jump right into the next one…and it is two thumbs up from me
This story is a second chance romance. Kynan now owns Jameson Force Security and gets a call from Rachel about a case they need to consider taking, but when she mentions Joslyn’s name, Kynan refuses until he hears her stalker almost killed her after breaking into her home. What both didn’t realise is how they’d feel being in each other’s presence and all their old feelings resurfacing A spectacular story and I can’t wait for the next one
I really liked this one! This was a good suspense read that went by really quick and that I can’t wait for more!
Outstanding! Kept me enthralled!
Read: 8/4/19
Code Name: Genesis was the first book in Sawyer Bennett’s Jameson Force Security series. It was a spin-off from the Wicked Horse Vegas series.
Kynan McGrath and Joslyn Meyers’ story began in the short novella, Wicked Force. At the time, Joslyn was nineteen and an up and coming pop star and her mother/manager hired the Jameson Group as Joslyn’s security detail. Despite the seven year age difference, Kynan and Joslyn quickly fell in love and it ended with a happy for now scenario but had a slight cliff hanger. Fast forward twelve years to Code Name: Genesis and we learned they had a break-up immediately after the novella ended; which left both angry and heart broken. Joslyn was now an A-list actress and pop star while Kynan now owned the security agency. They had not kept in touch but now Joslyn was in danger and she had no one to trust but Kynan. Despite their differences, she knew he would keep her safe.
Bennett took us through the reunion and quickly filled us in on the changes within the twelve year gap, the past secrets and the current dangers. Bennett also took the opportunity to introduce the cast of characters for the Jameson Force Security Group to set the stage for the series. The characters are diverse, unique and have promise for an intriguing series.
All in all, it was well written, a fast paced read and an entertaining second chance theme with a suspenseful vibe. Cruse Britton is up next in Code Name: Sentinel.
Loved this story!
Another winner by Bennett I just adore her sexy heroes!
3.5 stars
While I love this author, I still haven’t gotten to all of her books. Within in a few chapters of this one, I realized it is most likely a sort of spin-off of her Wild Horse Vegas series (which is a spin-off of her Wild Horse series). I still enjoyed this story, but now can’t wait to go back and read both the Wild Horse series. Another wonderful discovery with this story, it looks like the non-hockey playing Fournier brother (see Max and Lucas) is going to be joining the Jameson Force Security series! I love those Fournier boys!
On to the story. I love that Joslyn reaches out to Kynan when she’s in trouble even though he hurt her in the past. And that Kynan agrees once he realizes the seriousness of the situation. These two have such a turbulent past, yet the author gets them to where they need to be in order for this story to work within a limited number of pages. I didn’t think that would be the case at first, but I’ve learned to never doubt Sawyer Bennett’s finesse.
Because this book is a lot shorter than I’m used to from this author I did miss the deep connection she usually writes with her characters. Don’t misunderstand, Kynan and Joslyn still had wonderful chemistry. They just didn’t get as much one on one romance time as I’m used to getting in longer stories. What they had, in this shorter length novel, was perfect for the space they were given.
This story also had to serve as an introduction to a lot of characters since it’s the first of the series. I feel a good job was done in this department since I’m now intrigued by the whole lot of them!
