USA TODAY & AMAZON #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR • ONE OF THE BEST NEW VOICES IN THE ACTION THRILLER GENRE • David Archer is back with a vengeance with his newest hero, Noah Wolf. After fans raved about his debut series, The Sam Prichard Novels, Archer now is about to back even harder. People are already throwing out names like Mitch Rapp and Alex Cross, but don’t take my word for it. See what all … See what all the fuss is about before Archer becomes a household name!
After witnessing the murder-suicide of his parents as a child, Noah suffers from a form of PTSD that has left him without emotion, without a conscience and without the ability to function as a normal human being. With the help of childhood friends, he learns to watch others around him and mimic their behaviors, in order to conceal the fact that his mind operates more like a computer that he has spent years programming. That program is what allows Noah to pass himself off as normal, by establishing parameters of right and wrong that are completely inviolable to him.
As a young adult, Noah finds structure in the U.S. Army, and becomes an excellent and exemplary soldier, but when his self-imposed programming is put to the test by the murderous acts of the superior officer, Noah finds himself quickly made expendable, charged with crimes he did not commit and facing the possibility of execution. Without any reasonable hope for a reprieve, Noah’s logic-based mind accepts his fate.
Sometimes, though, things are not all as they seem to be, and Noah is offered one chance to save himself. It was his disability, his lack of emotion, that made him the soldier he had become. Now, an ultrasecret organization known as E & E wants Noah’s talents, offering him a chance to survive…
As the most deadly assassin the world has ever known.

Too predictable. Lack of character development.
It is a 3 star. There is a great deal of redundancy and excessive detail. Every mention of a meal had ennumeration of exactly what was eaten. Additionally the hero’s emotional “disability” was gone over in detail every time a new chacter was introduced. These factors forced me to flip pages. The boook badly bogged down at those times. There needed to be more action.
Very idealistic story line that was pretty predictable. There were way too many commas used – not sure who proofed this publication
David Archer writes realistically to describe his characters. You feel like you know them and want to turn the next page to see what they are doing next.
Rather simplistic for the type of book, but it makes a good introduction to the series.
This book was very good. In fact ithas caused me to purchase the whole series. So far I have finished book 5 and started on book 6. This series has taken up so much of my time that my is giving me %%%% for reading all day.
A bit simple-minded, with the surreal flavor of a made-for-TV screenplay. A decent read, though.
Loved it
It was ok
Unique characters
Great read! Exciting plot and great characters. Difficult to put down!
Some new twists and interesting character development. Not a lot of filler.
Good book. Lots of action. Very good read.
Didn’t really enjoy the author’s writing style and lost interest really fast. Story was too far fetched and I had to quit.
was okay but long winded, meaning it got to descriptive and I end up flipping pages while they are thinking… enjoyed it for the most part, had some interesting stuff,
I loved it! I have tried to reach the author to give him a critique and get on his mailing list, but have not been able to do either. I would appreciate being contacted by him.
An excellent, adventurous book.
Interesting story and characters. Kept moving. Quick read.
Vince Flynn/Mitch Robb “ish”
I’ve read other David Archer books that I really enjoyed. The story was good and I’m sure there are secret places just like this. My only problem was the main character was just to good to be believable. It really stretches the imagination.
Great action thriller
