He’s such a bad idea. This roommate thing is not going to work.Kendra is a messy-haired, pajama-pants-wearing little ball of sass. The first thing she does is try to make friends with my random from the night before—giving her all sorts of bad ideas.I don’t date. I don’t use words like girlfriend, or I’ll text you later. Fck that. Relationships aren’t for me. I’ll give a woman a night she won’t … aren’t for me. I’ll give a woman a night she won’t forget, but once it’s over, I’m out.
I keep people at a distance, and I have my reasons. But Kendra starts getting under my skin. And when my life crashes and burns—literally—Kendra is the only person I can count on.
I’m not built for relationships, and Kendra is not a one night stand. But living with this girl sleeping one room away might just be the thing that kills me.
Cocky Roommate is a stand-alone hate-to-lovers roommate romance with a definite HEA. It contains mature language and content, and is intended for a mature audience. Fair warning, Weston is a straight up ahole. Or is he?***

The things that happened here was unexpected and the audiobook was GOOD. Mia was annoying in the beginning of the book.
Ah Weston….what an unexpected surprise! I absolutely loved Kendra & Weston’s book from their confusing meeting to their unpredictable happy ending!
Another great book. The feel of this book is totally different from the first and that is because the characters are different. It was still a great book and I enjoyed the themes discussed in the book. The whole enemy to lovers thing just ticked me.
Audiobook Review
Overall 4.5 stars
Narration 4.5 stars
Story 4.5 stars
I was so excited to start Kendra’s story after meeting her in Book Boyfriend! Initially, I was a little turned off by the hero, Weston, because when we first meet him, he is a grade A, world class a-hole! He says some incredibly rude and offensive things to Kendra and it was hard not to feel the hurt and anger right along with her at his callous remarks. I love a good anti-hero though, and Claire Kingsley did a fantastic job of showing that there was much more to Weston than what we are led to believe. Don’t get me wrong, he really is a jerk at times, but I liked that he didn’t come to some miraculous epiphany and completely change. He’s learning and changing, but there are going to be growing pains and missteps. Ultimately, I loved that Kendra could see through the masks and with a little forced confinement (hello, roommate!), Weston saw her too. The ending and epilogue was wonderful and though things moved quickly, it worked well given Weston and Kendra’s personalities.
Teddy Hamilton was perfect as always and I loved his narration as Weston! He is always the right amount of sexy and sweet, without being over the top. Lucy Rivers is a new to me narrator and she was a little more serious sounding than I imagined bubbly Kendra to be, but I still really enjoyed her performance. Some of the chapters were more emotional and I thought she really shined during those moments. I do wish that Claire Kingsley’s afterword in the ebook would have been included with the audio. It explains a lot of the author’s thought process behind Weston’s character and gives a lot of insight into his actions and motivations. I definitely recommend checking it out after finishing the audio if you get a chance.
Catching up with Mia, Alex, and Caleb was great and I found Mia’s analysis about the 3 types of a-holes not only accurate but also very entertaining! 😉 I’m really looking forward to Caleb’s book next! As much as I enjoy an anti-hero, nothing beats an all around good guy with a heart of gold!
Amazing book!!! Lucked into winning a copy of Book Boyfriend and fell in love with Claire Kingsley’s writing! Cocky Roommate was perfect!! Total opposites are thrown together by chance and fiercely butt heads until an accident makes her the only one there for him. Will he realize what he’s got or keep her as far away from his heart as possible?
I didn’t think the first book in this series, Book Boyfriend about Alex and Mia, could be topped, but Weston and Kendra’s story certainly did just that for me. We got to know Kendra as Alex’s younger sister and editor in the first book and I instantly loved her as the sweet, supportive and family-oriented sister. But what really elevated this story for me was the way that CK was able to make Weston’s character so likable to the reader despite the fact that she wrote him in such a way that his cockiness and manwhore-ish ways made him completely unlikable for the first half of the book. However, in true CK fashion, she did an excellent job at developing and evolving his character throughout the story, thus helping to make us love him more by the end. There were times that he made me laugh and cry and I was definitely rooting for him and Kendra to be together by the end of the story.
Enemies to lovers are one of my favorites, especially when the hero is a complete dick! Cocky Roommate is everything I ever wanted!! Claire Kingsley wrote the hell outta this book!
Kendra needed a roommate and her brother Caleb had the perfect one for her. His collegue, Weston, who needed a place to stay while he had work done on his house. Little did Weston know that crashing at Kendra’s place would change his life forever.
Weston is hot, sexy, smart mouthed, infuriating man who wants nothing to do with love or a relationship. A different woman every night, zero f*cks given, is his way of living life. He could care less about anyone or anything but himself.
Kendra is a freelance writer who quit her job to go out on her own. She’ll do anything for anyone at anytime without question because that’s just the way she is. So rooming with a guy who looks like a god but acts like an ass is troublesome but Kendra’s determined to not let it get to her. She knows that there has to be some underlying issues for him to act that way…and boy are there!
I adore the banter between Kendra and Weston, they both could give and take! I’ve got to tell you, I LOVE that he was such a dick and that Kendra was frustrated with him but never let it show. And when they finally got their sexy on, WHOA. I had to put down the Kindle and collect myself for a moment. That sexual tension was everything!
I absolutely fell head over heels for Claire’s work when I read Book Boyfriend and I really loved Alex. But Weston? Weston tops EVERY book boyfriend known to women!
