Cocky Boss is the first book in the Badder Bosses series with Liz Fox. It is a steamy, standalone novella with a strong, curvy heroine, and a cocky alpha hero.QuinnOn the outside, I’m respectable and responsible. But on the inside, I’m a secret romantic. When my boss offers me a proposal, it’s more business than pleasure. After spending more time with him outside of the office, my idealized … outside of the office, my idealized fantasies are shattered.
Now I’m getting to know the real Bennett.
He’s handsome, loyal, and there’s more to him than his cocky exterior.
Can I trust that he wants me, or does he just want the money?
Bennett
I have every reason to be cocky—money, power, and good looks.
At least I thought I did.
Turns out one bad decision could cost me everything.
Now I have to find someone to marry, and my assistant is the easiest choice.
It isn’t until we spend more time together that I realize she’s more than just a convenience.
Quinn is curvy, sexy, and teaches me what romance really is.
Can I convince her that what we have is not just for show anymore?

Weston and Quinn’s story starts off as boss and assistant. Circumstances causes the dynamics to change drastically. This fake marriage trope has everything you would want in a short story. Drama, wit, passion and a HEA. A great lunch time read.
A quick read but entertaining nonetheless. Some opportunities definitely missed to give the story a fuller body.
Weston Kingsbury was backed against a wall after not reading the details of his father’s contract he signed. Now, he has just a few days to be married or lose the company he’s worked so hard for. He never expected to marry but there is only one person he trusts to engage in a fake marriage.
Quinn Delaney has been the PA for Weston Kingsbury for years. She loves her job and she has quietly loved her boss. She isn’t sure what kind of crazy it is to agree to temporarily marry him but how bad can it be?
Weston and Quinn were perfect for each other. They might as well had gotten married because she had been taking care of him for years as his executive assistant. I loved the book. It was fun, sweet, and sassy. I love reading CL’s books. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Good for a fast instant love story. At first I didn’t really like Weston but he turned it around and turned into a like able character. Good book.
A great fake marriage romance read
Quinn, an executive assistant, has worked for Weston, cocky CEO, for a few years now. As the story progresses tracts are signed, terms are met, and it may be to late to change if thought is allowed to rule over feelings. Cocky Boss by C.L. Cruz is a great fake marriage romance read that brings a happy ending to another of the four friends. I can’t wait to see how the series ends.
This is the third book in the series and it is just as good as the previous ones. The characters are well developed and engaging. Weston needs to get a fiancé before he loses everything and he thinks his assistant Quinn will work out nicely. What starts of as fake turns into so much more.

This was a good book. The characters were good. The story though not new was good but there could have been more. I feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities to add depth and drama.

What you need to know: this book contains no cheating, no cliff-hangers and a HEA.
The extra: I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

Weston runs the family’s successful business and finds out in order to keep it he has to marry quickly. When he makes this arrangement with Quinn his assistant, he never could have imagined his life would be complete. This is a story that will have you rooting for these two characters. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
OMG I loved every page every word in this book. CL Cruz can’t write a bad book. Every book she has produced and given us has been pure gold. Quinn has been working with Weston for years and has always had a crush on him. He comes to Quinn to help him on a clause his father out in the contract for the company. She agrees and as the say the rest is history. The emotions are pulled out of your soul and it leaves you wanting more! Can’t wait for the next book!!

This is a short story by C. L. CRUZ, Weston Kingsbury owner of King Enterprises, a venture-capital firm and as of right it’s tops in the nation. Today Weston lawyer needs to see him right away, it’s important, but when he gets to his lawyer’s office, Weston is told there is a clause in the contract he sign, from his father when he retired. In the clause it said, Weston needs to get married in sixty days of signing the contract to inherit the company, or else it will go to his younger half brother and the sixty days is up that end of the week. Not having time for a social life and a relationship, the only person he can think of to talk to about his problem is, Quinn Delaney, his personal assistant.
Quinn has been working for Weston for quite some time and has enjoyed working for him. Of course it helps that she has a small crush on him, so when he came to her apartment and asked her for help him, Quinn was surprise she would be the first person he would ask, but she could never say no to Weston. Can she go through with this or will she say no.
I am volunteering to leave a review for a ARC of this book.
Rushed married but forever! This is about Weston and Quinn. Weston was surprised when his father gave over the company so he can retire; however, he didn’t read the contract thoroughly and didn’t realize that there was a clause that he had to be married by a certain time or the company would go to his step brother from an affair he had on his mother. Weston’s new attorney stated that he had to find someone before the weekend was over and marry her in order to keep it legit until he could find a way to overturn the contract and they can get their wedding annulled. Well things always happen for a reason; he realizes that Quinn who has been his assistant and right hand for so long was always meant to be there for him and only him! Love how a man can take charge but it is the woman who makes him realize what he truly wants in life!
Love this book. It the best one in this series. I am looking forward for the last book in this series.
Weston is with his lawyer Cody when his world implodes. His father has drawn up a contract in which he has 60 days to marry or he will lose the company. 60 days! To make matters worse the contract is due to expire on the weekend. At home, after having a nice hot bath, drink of wine, there is a knock on Quinn’s door at 9pm. Looking through the peephole she opens to the door to her boss. “We need to talk” What he needs to talk about is the last thing that she could ever have expected! Weston unceremoniously expects that Quinn will marry him, There is no doubt in his mind that she will do it to help him. Cocky much?!! Their relationship is one in which Weston trusts her completely and knowing that she would help him.
The story is fast paced, like a whirlwind as the weekend approaches. The story is told from dual POVs and each characters thoughts, feelings and realisations of the depth of their emotions. I liked how sassy, intelligent Quinn is and her reaction to his proposal (you will just have to read it, no spoilers here!) Weston is quite cocky as he just assumes that Quinn will be there for him, I liked his character development as the story progressed and how he came to realise just how much he cares for her. The writing style is engaging and i couldn’t put the book down! I just had to know their HEA!
Weston is clueless. Quinn is Weston’s assistant and is secretly crushing on him. Weston discovers that the contract his father had him sign has a clause in it. Now Weston and Quinn have to follow through with the clause, but will Quinn’s heart still be intact when the clause is full filled? Will Weston finally clue in on his feelings? The characters have chemistry and are relatable. This story is a slow buildup romance. It is a short read. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book and this is my opinion.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
Weston has every reason to be cocky—money, power, and good looks. At least he thought he did. Wow! Absolutely loved this. Well written, and flows well. All the characters are wonderful. Very emotional, and addictive. Made me cry. The ending was wonderful. C.L. Cruz has another hit.
I received an ARC copy from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Weston is the CEO who has been given his father’s company and he thinks he has it made but his lawyer Cody informs him he has to get married within 60 days and he is shocked. With some ingenuity, he could outfox his father. Quinn is his assistant who has been with him for many years he has always had an attraction for her but would never even think of messing that up. Since he went home early that day that allowed her to go home too. Quinn was about to enjoy a bath when the doorbell rang she was surprised to see her boss at the door when she let him in, they set at the kitchen table he started talking and next thing she knew he was putting his grandmother’s ring on her finger but she made him ask like he meant it and she said yes. She made the arrangements and they got married the next day. Cute short story. Characters are fun. Adult content. I was given an ARC as a gift from the author without obligations. I am providing an honest review.
Weston has finally gotten his father to give him control of the family business. In his haste, Weston signs the paperwork without reading it. Now his lawyer tells him he has only a few days in order to find a wife or he forfeits the company to his step-brother. Quinn is Weston’s assistant and has been with him for years. Without, thinking much about it, Weston asks Quinn to marry him to fulfill the terms of the agreement. Can Quinn guard her heart against her boss who thinks its all in fun and insists they have a real marriage. Can Weston do what he needs to without losing Quinn forever?
This is great story of the heart, of learning to think of others rather than yourself, and overcoming past hurts and self imposed limitations. Cruz does not disappoint in this third installment of the Badder Bosses series.
I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving a review which is my opinion alone.
Weston is completely clueless that his assistant, Quinn, has been in love with him for years. But when he needs a quickie bride she is the first one he thinks of. Things heat up fast and Quinn is in deep but Weston needs to open his eyes to love of he wants keep his curvy girl in this sexy and sweet story. I freely reviewed this book.
