(previously titled: Worth the Risk)From New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg comes a new, sexy standalone about taking chances and finding love when it’s least expected. Or wanted. This whole contest was supposed to be easy. I know, I know. Famous last words. It’s a long story, but I messed up at work. Big time. To earn back the trust of my boss, I promised to save one of our magazines. … time. To earn back the trust of my boss, I promised to save one of our magazines. Yep. That Hot Dad contest you’ve seen advertised all over the place was my idea. And if I’m successful, if I’m able to increase our online readership, then I get a shot at my dream job.
But the one thing I never expected to happen, happened: Contestant number ten, Grayson Malone. Hello, Mr. Difficult. And did I mention sexy as hell?
Unfortunately he knows me. The old me, anyway. And while we might be older now, I remind him of before. Of the woman who broke his heart, who hardened him, and who left him alone to raise the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen.
But I don’t want a relationship. And I definitely don’t fall for single dads with baggage. Even ones with chiseled abs and killer smiles.
But he got to me. They got to me.He and his son and their messy, crazy life. But I got to him too. I see the stolen glances. I feel the walls he built start to crumble. I recognize that there’s an unexpected beauty to the chaos in his life.
And now that the contest is about to end, we’re left to decide whether the last six months were just fun or if what we have is worth risking it all?

A beautiful new book from K. Bromberg!
NO SPOILERS!
Worth the Risk was a sweet, sexy, and entertaining standalone contemporary romance in the Everyday Heroes series, and I really enjoyed it! K. Bromberg did a great job with the storyline and characters, and I once again loved her writing style. Single dad romances are one of my favorite kinds of stories to read, and Worth the Risk definitely checked that box. Worth the Risk hasn’t been my favorite standalone in the Everyday Heroes series, and it was different than I expected in some ways, but I still really enjoyed Grayson and Sidney’s story. Even though I didn’t love everything about Worth the Risk, and there were some parts that frustrated and annoyed me, I was very happy with the conclusion to Grayson and Sidney’s story. K. Bromberg has done an amazing job with the Everyday Heroes series so far, and I can’t wait to read the final installment about Desi Whitman in Control!
Another amazing, romantic story from the talented K. Bromberg!

it was amazing
Such a Fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Grayson and Sydney’s romance gets off to a rocky start.
Sent to revive one of her father’s magazine as a punishment, for messing up at work and to oversee the Hot Dad contest in the small town of Sunnyville.Sydney didn’t expect to be drawn to Grayson one of the Hot hot Dads, who is so reluctant to be in this contest.
Being stubborn and awkward at every turn Grayson is so moody and angry with his brothers for entering him into this stupid contest. He has been hurt in the past by his son Luke’s mother, and when he sees Sydney on his doorstep trying to convince him to stay in the contest she is the epitome of what his EX Represented (rich with expensive taste) he misjudges her and tries to make her life difficult. The trouble is they are EXTERMELY attracted to one another and apparently can’t seem to stop kissing eachother.
This is a very sweet, sexy brilliant romance and a continuation of the everyday heroes series and I Loved reading it.
Grayson’s son Luke is adorable and I was giggling to myself at the awkward conversations he evoked with his dad.
I thoroughly enjoyed Cockpit and I am so glad I took the time to pick it up and read it.
Fabulous Romance.
I Highly recommend it.
5 Stars.
Loved this book and the whole series! Great characters with great banter and explosive chemistry and who doesn’t love a hot, single dad, especially one who happens to wear a flight suit?
I loved Worth the Risk! Once I started reading, I devoured this book and was sad to see it end because I was enjoying the characters and story so much.
I loved both Sidney and Grayson, they’re both headstrong characters and I enjoyed their pushing each other’s buttons. But Luke stole my heart and the story. He is so adorable!
I adore Kristy’s heartfelt, emotional love stories. I know as soon as pick one up I’m going to laugh, swoon, cry and fall completely in love with the characters and Worth the Risk is no exception. 5 emotional, swoony stars.
Worth The Risk has become one of my Favorite books by K. Bromberg. Grayson and Sidney’s story has everything you want in a romance and more. This story has depth and the characters not only have chemistry, but they have growth, demons to tame, and things to prove not only to themselves, but to others. This book has you falling in love with Grayson’s son Luke and the relationship between father and son. There are so many aspects of this book that come together seamlessly, you won’t be able to put it down.
K. Bromberg is a master storyteller and Worth The Risk gives you everything you have come to expect from this talented author and more. I highly recommend it.
Audio Review from September 2019
This was the third Malone Brother book (preceded by Cuffed and Combust) and I honestly think it was the best!!
Combust was my fave before this one but the little boy in this one just stole my heart and stole the show!
Zachary Webber and Grace Grant fit this story perfectly! Their little kid voices were spot on.
Ahhh!!!! Happy tears at the end too!! The whole last chapter and epilogue had me smiling, laughing and crying happy tears!!
Ah the youngest Malone brother.
Grayson Malone is a single dad entered into a contest by his mischief making brothers. His son Luke’s entitled mom left when he was a baby, 8 years prior effectively screwing with Grayson’s head and love life. When he’s not with his son Grayson is flying the medevac helicopter.
Here comes the “Hot Dad” contest.
Sidney Thornton, spoiled rich girl grew up in Sunnyville but moved to the big city the first chance she got. Sidney now demoted by her father is in charge of drumming up reviews for a family magazine and getting Grayson to participate in order to earn her dream job.
I loved the slow build up between these two. The growth of Sidney and her love for both Grayson and Luke. The sweet moments of Luke showing off his Minecraft collection and asking if he is going to be getting a mom. And finally the explosive ending when Grayson drops out of the contest all in the name of love.
K. Bromberg had me in tears one minute, laughing the next and swooning soon after for this amazing romance.
Brilliant!! Made me cry…. I loved every minute of this story. Grayson and Sidney …. and Luke – this little guy will make you, laugh and rip your heart out. You have hooked me in. Love these Malone brothers!!
