What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.I’d make my coworker fall for me.I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other … simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.
Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.
The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Oh how I love the nerdyness (spelling? is that a word?) of Andrew. I wish I had a boyfriend like this when I was younger! Sadie drew my in with her fierce independence and also with her hidden vulnerability. The funny parts were hysterical, the naughty parts were oh so steamy and the sad parts made me cry! Wonderfully done Meghan!
This story totally wrecked me! It could have been autobiographical! I loved these characters and to have a story set in the town I grew up in and went to school in was so cool! It was a walk down memory lane to hear so many places mentioned that I actually knew and visited! I was laughing and crying so hard, now I just have to get the rest of the Binghamton series!
4.5 Stars!
A sweet story with a compassionate, sweet nerd and a strong willed girl. When Andrew starts his new job, he is tasked with Sadie being his trainer. She gives him the cold shoulder but he’s determined to get on her good side. He makes it his mission.
So when he finally thinks he wins her over, he finds out there are things he doesn’t yet know about with Sadie… things that need to be known to create a strong foundation for a relationship.
They’re so sweet for each other, that I hope to see more of their happily ever after in the other books after this one.
Normally I talk about the narration last but in this case I have to talk about it first. Mia does a fantastic job with Sadie and I really enjoyed her POV. Tor Thom isn’t a favorite of mine, and I actually found his voice to be too old for Andrew.
His POV’s took me out of the story and it was hard to get back into when it was time for her POV.
I did enjoy the story just had a hard time with the narration and because of that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I think I would have if a different male narrator had been chosen.
I loved how unique this book was, I didn’t like that it took Sadie a LONG time to come clean. I understand being guarded but not being truthful kinda peeved me off.
Andrew’s roommates are HILARIOUS! I mean topless Tuesdays EPIC!
On to the next!
If you’ve read my books, you know I have a special spot in my heart for nerdy alpha heroes — and Andrew is no exception! Hot and geeky, his path to love with tough-girl Sadie is a true gem.
This was one of my first books from Meghan Quinn. I’ve read more of her books but I recently started reviewing books more seriously.
I loved this book. Sadie was a badass. Her attitude, her sass. She’s closed off. Doesn’t want to let anyone in. Almost on the verge of bitch but you understand her and get why she is the way she is.
Andrew. Oh Andrew. My first character crush of Meghan’s. He was amazing. Hot. Nerdy. Adorable. He gets a job where Sadie works and things don’t start out so great. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. Their banter was hilarious.
Overall its a great read. I highly recommend it!
Sadie and Andrew was just what I needed. They had me laughing so hard. This story was super fun and couldn’t put it down.
*3.5-4 Stars*
This was a nice read for this series, especially being the first book. I have read out of order, as I was introduced to Meghan when the final book in this series came out. I’ve been wanting to go back and read the others since then, so I was glad I finally got the chance to do so.
This wasn’t my favourite Meghan book, but it was still a good read. I was curious how things would play out between Sadie and Andrew, and I wondered how she would ever move past particular things. I did feel sorry for Andrew with the way Sadie would act at times.
All in all another good one from Meghan and I look forward to continuing this series.
This book completely stole my heart. I’m a huge fan of quirky characters, and ‘Co-Wrecker’ is driven by a gang of lovable, hilarious, and yes, delightfully quirky individuals just doing their best to figure life out. I couldn’t help but want to fall right into this story’s world and get to be part of the group. This book is the perfect mix of humor and heart, and it hit me right in the feels over and over again the longer I kept reading. It’s a super fun and entertaining read with just the right amount of angst and drama thrown in to keep you desperately flipping pages while equally desperately wishing it wouldn’t end.

From hilarious one liners to major/deep issues…I liked this book a lot, but not enough to want to read it again. I read a review where the reviewer felt the book was set in high school years. But I think that’s sort of the point. The main characters are college students, barely out of high school. Most college students are not that mature. Most college students haven’t experienced real adversity, much less what Sadie has gone through most of her life. Most college students are still trying to find themselves post graduation, and Andrew and Sadie are no different. They’re just figuring out what they want in life. They’ve both had setbacks, but they’re taking steps to move forward. Andrew has found his way sooner, but Sadie is stuck; she’s lost her drive. You could even say that Andrew is more mature than she is, but he also hasn’t experienced the type of challenges and disappointments that she’s faced since childhood. Through it all, he’s helped her find her light again; he’s helped her learn to trust others and with a bit of pushing, she overcomes life’s adversity to grow into a woman who’s finally found her worth.
Andrew is a hot nerd that needed a job in the worst way when he transferred from his old university after an ‘incident’. He moved into the cheapest, last minutes living arrangement he could find, saving him from living with his really creepy uncle. Then he found himself a job at Friendly’s serving ice cream at the soda fountain. Sadie was the girl who was set to train Andrew for his first week, however, she’s very closed-off, unfriendly, and just plain old mean. And it’s all because she has it in her head that she has no extra room for any new friends in her inner circle because she has very strong trust issues. When Andrew sets his eyes on Sadie he is a goner and the need to be a part of her world…Andrew has his work cut out for him.
This book was everything I needed at the time…it was funny, with quick witted banter, and some crazy chemistry that even I felt just reading. This story made my heart feel all of the feels that only Meghan Quinn can deliver in her own quirky manner. This is definitely a book that you need to read so that you can meet Andrew and Sadie.
This a story about a brainy, awkward guy who sees through the walls that a beautiful broken girl has put up. You will fall in love with Andrew’s wit, personality and his hot physique. I could personally identify with Sadie’s personality traits. Whereas we have experienced different struggles, I see my self in Sadie, which made this book very endearing to me. Meghan Quinn has a knack for keeping you laughing throughout her books and they all have different types of humor. I would love to see some of her books, this one especially, turned into a Hallmark movie **sigh**. She doesn’t disappoint.
Such a cute & fun read! It was full of laughs, secrets, romance & had an unforgettable leading male character. *le sigh*
Speaking of that leading male character, Andrew… He MADE this book! Loved, loved, LOVED him to pieces! That goofy charm, those smooth yet not-so-smooth moves, that hot, brainy-sex appeal… GAH! He is one of my most FAVORITE book boyfriends!! He was such an easy-going, playful & genuine guy who had both a big heart & a BIG “cannon”. Authors MUST create more book boyfriends like Andrew, stat! *swoon*
Now, Sadie, our leading lady…. She wasn’t chopped jalapenos or anything but she did do some things in this book that bugged me to no end. I can’t stand when characters put off telling their significant others their pasts/secrets (knowing what’ll happen if they’re not the one to confess it to them) & Sadie was a master at that. I loved her & Andrew together but gurrrrllll…
Looking forward to the next book in the series, My Best Friend’s Ex. So curious to see how Tucker & Emma come together! 🙂
I received an ARC copy of this book from socialbutterflypr . Wow , Wow , Wow I really don’t even know where to begin with this book. Meghan Quinn has done it again with this book . I absolutely love Sadie and Andrew , not to mention the rest of the characters. Ugh Smilly what is not to love about a girl who carries around a Saber and has a love for Doritos. I would love to be friends with Sadie’s group of friends. Sadie has been dealt a rough hand in life , she feels so ashamed of who she , will this change when she meets funny, nerdy and gorgeous Andrew. Andrew is an intelligent man who just transferred to a new school for reasons he isn’t sure he wants to share at first. Andrew has got to be one of the funniest characters I have ever read in a book. The things that come out of his mouth had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
As Sadie and Andrew dive into a relationship together will Sadie’s past effect their relationship or can she move past these things . This book is filled with emotions and gave me the feels page after page.
This is a book everyone should read and you will love it once you do .
5 holy sweet, sad, finding your way to forever hotness stars.

Meet Sadie Montgomery. #hardknocks sums up a lot of her life up until now. Early 20’s. Exceptionally bright. Screwed up mother. Ex boyfriend that still loves her. Gets in to the dream school for smarties!! Bam. Detailed. Book starts after she’s no longer at said school dealing with heartbreaking working at a local food joint, excelling at making ice cream Sundays.
Meet Andrew Cannon… super awesome nerdy guy. Who’s also hottttt. Starting at a new school due to some messiness at his previous school . Gets job at… local family joint, who is the new ice cream guy since Sadie is now a server?…. Andrew.
I loved his humor. This book is for reals laugh out loud hilarious. But it’s deep too. And heart wrenching. And sweet.
I recommend this book for fans of Emma Hart, Melanie Harlow, Lauren Blakely…
You won’t be disappointed.
Meghan Quinn
Overall, this was a pretty good read. It had its good and not as good points. I definitely laughed out loud a couple of times. If I had to describe this book with one word, it would be entertaining.
I loved the characters in this book. They, themselves, were pretty well developed. The downside for me was I didn’t really feel their connection. While I was rooting for them, I just couldn’t feel the attraction. Sadie didn’t give enough of inner-fight. She caved too soon. I needed more angst between these two.
The story is a good one. The supporting characters helped a lot. I enjoyed them. They added that extra something most books need to keep them moving along in at an enjoyable pace.
Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn a five-star read that will wreck you. This was my first read by this author and it won’t be my last, I will be honest and admit I read it as I liked the cover, hot nerdy bloke in glasses, yummy yummy, then I realised the whole Ice-cream aspect and I was sold. I am so glad I did, Sadie really is like a frozen desert, cold and hard on the outside but filled with gooey delight inside, once you break the shell she has. What a complex woman with a hard and sad past, but aside from that what a pleasure to read her story, throw in some amazing comic relief especially in the shape of Smilly and what a brilliant read.
***5 ‘Sugar Free Vanilla’ Stars***
I knew going into Co-Wrecker that I’d be in for a h@ll of a ride. I mean it’s a Meghan Quinn Rom Com, it’s simply a given. I didn’t expect to be doing the snort/laugh combo thing (thank f%$k I wasn’t eating or drinking anything at the time) from the very first page or having a dopey smile on my face at all the swoon and silly things going on throughout the entire story. I should have, but it all happened so fast it was like a Mack truck blindsiding me. And I didn’t expect to fall into adoration with both Andrew and Sadie so quickly, but it happened and this book just brought out all the feels right up to the very end.
I want my own Andrew. No. I really do. That man is all that and a bag of chips and has perched himself and his C.C. *grins* are right up there with my ultimate book boyfriends (Bodi and Hollis are already there, so what does that tell you??) because he is just so comfortable in his own skin. He owns his geekiness, is silly and charming all in the same breath and has that smexy alpha thing going on. *fans self* But his open and genuine heart is what makes you melt and wish he was yours.
Sadie. This girl. I loved her. I did. And the scary thing is, I totally connected with her ~ at least on one level ~ right from the beginning. No, really. The first time she appears in the book I went “Holy sh%te. I’m the same way” Seriously. It was scary, but cool too because I got her. I got how she view her world in respect to who was in it and the space they occupied. So I wanted to high five her, but I also wanted kick her ar$e. Girl got issues. I mean. ISSUES. And she won’t let herself escape them, I got why they had such a hold on her, my heart hurt for her, but it was also frustrating as hell because she is the vibrant, sweet and intelligent woman who I’d want as a friend buried underneath then that needed to be let loose on the world.
Andrew and Sadie’s road to their HEA was seriously swoon worthy. From Andrew getting under Sadie’s skin simply by being himself to Sadie relaxing and showing us who she really is, it was practically perfect. Their bantering was fun and the sexual chemistry between them was nuclear! Unfortunately, neither could run from Sadie’s issues and it was frustrating and heart breaking to see the fall out, though you know it’s coming and are simply waiting for the rug to be pulled out from underneath them both. It was painful and god did my heart hurt for both of them, but it was necessary for both of them and I really liked the way things were dealt with, how they came back together and where they were at the end of the book.
There is so much goodness, both of the heartwarming and heart breaking, that goes on in this book and I want to tell you all about it, but I can’t. You must experience on your own. What I will say is I laughed, and even snort/laughed, and at one point said out loud “Where the f^c% did she come up with that???”. I swooned. And I growled in frustration. The characters are fun, unique, slightly over the top but real. They are “new adults” and on the cusp of stepping fully into adulthood. Most I loved, one I understood but still wanted to gut with a spoon, but enjoyed what they all brought to the story. Co-Wrecker showcases the wickedly brilliant mind of Meghan Quinn and is a must read for all lovers of RomCom’s and romance in general.

Who knew that a nerd could get the girl? Sometimes you don’t need the bad boy to find what you are looking for. Nerds don’t have to be the stereotypical guy. Sometimes they are just as hot(if not hotter) than the bad boy. It sure was in this case.
Sadie, such a sweet girl trying to overcome loss while trying to still find herself. She is not in a plaec where she is looking for love especially not with Andrew. Yet, something happens along the way.
“When did he become so ingrained in my life? Essential. When did he matter so much to me? When did this become more that a fling to me? Because I can’t remember; it’s like it sneak attacked me, leaving me no other option than to feel like utter crap when it fell apart.”
Andrew. Holy hell. This man did more than just melt Ice-cream. He might have been a nerd but he was all man. His mouth and bedroom skills were on point. Pretty sure my kindle was going to melt a few times.
So many laugh out loud moments. Lots of self discovery. In true Meghan fashion she knocked yet another book out of the park. I was remiss writing a review on this when it fist came out because I was trying to finish school but I am rectifying that now. Meghan is one of my favorite authors ever. I can always count on her to make me laugh and brighten my day.
I love and adore this book times 12!I have like, eleventy-three million highlights. Andrew is absolutely fantastic. The dude has a box full of calculators, loves all things Yankees, is a hair man and when he worked for his father, he got paid in hugs. Seriously, how cute that is?! He is such a happy-go-lucky guy. Love him!
“He’s kind, sweet, handsome, smart, and has a good head on his shoulders. He’s a four-leaf clover in a field of weeds.”
Then there’s Sadie. Oh man, she’s a girl with a broken heart and has some heavy secrets. Opening up to anyone outside of her circle of friends is a no-go. She likes her people, no others shall enter. Ever. Andrew has some work cut out for him with Sadie, but in the end, it was totally worth it.
“Clearly I affect her, so it wouldn’t kill her to give me a little hello, maybe a slap to the ass, or even a little tap to the taint when I scoop ice cream.” Hahaha tap to the taint FTW!!! That part killed me!
Those two together are funny and the banter between them is awesome. The story entertained the hell out of me and I couldn’t stop smiling. I am Team Andrew all the way! I highly recommend this book if you want to have a fun read and giggle. It’s really a great story.
