A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Romance Novel (PWF)When it rains, it pours…and sometimes love finds you even when you can’t find yourself.Fate has given me a second chance at the happiness I once knew in the odd Southern town of Grimm Cove. But only if I can come to terms with some rather eye-opening revelations. Supernaturals are a real thing. I’m a witch. My high school sweetheart, who happens … high school sweetheart, who happens to be the Chief of Police in Grimm Cove, is my fated mate and a wolf-shifter. Ghosts exist and can be very nosy and meddlesome. Someone is murdering witches left and right. And last but not least, my ex-husband’s barely legal arm candy is taking fatal attraction to new levels of Hell.
I’m no shrinking violet, and with the help of my best friends, I’m going to live life on my terms–come Hell, high water, or magikal mishaps.
Don’t miss out on the next book in the Grimm Cove Series World, Hexing with a Chance of Tornadoes!

Love, love, love this book! I hope the rest of this series is as witty and entertaining as this book. One of the best things about Poppy and her friends is they are real people with real problems. I love this concept of a cast of characters ages 40+. I was unsure of the concept in the beginning, but Mandy Roth kept it real and relatable (especially if you are over 40). I love Poppy and Brett they are just too adorable. The characters are amazing, and the plot is fantastic. I cannot wait for the next book!
The first paragraph hooked me in. I liked the story and loved the characters in this book, especially Dana and Marcy! This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series
Cloudy with a Chance of Witchcraft is a superb return to Grimm Cove for Poppy! She was beautifully strong, had the best friends and wonderful kids. Dana was the bestest Best Friend and Marcy was an absolute hoot. While you know something isn’t quite right as the story goes along, there are plenty of surprises and joys that we get to experience with Poppy. Brett and his gang of friends were wonderful. Brett can admit to being wrong, his friends grill him to no end. I suspect that there is much more we will see of the town and its characters. I can’t wait.
4.5 stars A fun read filled with friendship, lost love and the supernatural. I love second chances and although this seemed a bit fast at times and not quite as in depth of things as I’d like, it held enough magick to make me press that pre-order button for book 2. A very nice way to while a day away.
I love this book and I know I’m going to love this series. You will laugh, tear up and think sexy thoughts while reading this book. If you love a great female friendship and hot alpha males then pick up this book now!
I loved this story of Poppy, an almost 40 year old woman, mother and natural witch (surprise) on her new beginnings in Grim Cove. After her douchbag of an husband decided that he no longer loved her. After 20 years, Poppy returned to her grandparent’s home to start a new life with her best friends in Grim Cove. Dana is a kick ass, bold, hold no bars woman and Marcy seems like she is a bubble off of plum, living in a different world. Are they what they appear to be or are they part of the magic? Join Poppy as she finds herself meeting up with her lost love, the hunky werewolf, town sheriff Brett and their friends as they fight an evil succu-bitch. Makes me want to move to Grim Cove to enjoy the charm of the town.
From the very first page, this story held my complete attention. It was fast paced, interesting, and really really funny. I was NOT ready for it to end!
With a Name like Grimm Cove; what could go wrong?
Wow, so many great Characters in this book. I can’t wait to read about ALL of them.
Now Poppy has had her heart broken twice; by Brett her first love and her Husband Thomas.
Man, I could hardly hide my distaste for Poppy’s Husband at the beginning but there’s a twist to all that too and all of it brings Poppy back to Grimm Cove where she grew up spending summers with her Grandma and Grandpa.
All those years Poppy thought her grandma was talking nonsense about her spells and witchcraft, but she’s about to get her eyes wide opened about the supernatural world and Grimm Cove. The first thing that happens when she returns to Grimm Cove is that she runs smack into Brett the “boy” who broke her heart by telling he never wanted to see her again. But there’s more to that story too. He wants to be with her; but he feels that he can’t.
There’s a killer in Grimm Cove and all the clues are leading to the conclusion that Poppy is next and the end-game to it all. Can Brett save her? Will he lose her when he just gets her back?
This was a great story filled with humor, some 80s references and some kick-ass women and the men who love them. I’ve excited for the next one. Thank you Mandy Roth for another great series.
I love this book, we all wonder if life is over when we reach 40 but with this book we see that life can begin again at that age and it will not be boring living in Grimm Cove
UNPUTDOWNABLE!! A one sitting read!
Who says midlife second chances have to be boring….
The story sucks you in from the very first pages & doesn’t let go until the very end. The women are strong, loyal & funny as hell.
I George Michael and Richard Marx swear you’ll love it!

I discovered this book as part of the newly released #PWF Fab 13. I think I might have read one of Mandy’s books before, but one thing for certain is that I will definitely be reading more.
Fans of Kristen Painter’s books should know that Mandy had a very similar writing style for me. She made me laugh, she definitely understands the toils and tribulations of being a woman over 40, oh and she gave me my new favorite term for children – “Crotch Goblins”.
This paranormal story introduces a lot of characters that we are obviously going to learn more about as the series goes on. Fate plays a huge role in happenings and fans will know that I am a huge believer in things happening for a reason.
The magik (Mandy uses the k spelling throughout the book – which I am personally not a fan of but it was consistent) is expertly researched. I actually messaged her on Facebook to ask if she was in fact a witch herself (she is not), because there are actual tips and tricks in there that I use. The story is fun, this trio of girls are hilarious, and the world building and secondary characters are totally solid.
This gets a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars from me – despite the fact there are shifters – so that in itself should let you know it’s a good read. It really only lost the half point due what I am now calling “The Melanie Clause” – in other words the story was good but I pretty much solved it early on – and as fun as it is to be right, I don’t feel that I can give a solid 5 when that happens. When you read it please be sure to come and let me know if you guessed what was coming, and tell me how much you enjoyed it – because I am sure you will.
The book sets the reader up for Dana’s story – Hexing With A Chance Of Tornadoes releasing in March 2020 which is available for pre-order on Amazon now.
I absolutely LOVED this book! This is the first in a new series by Mandy Roth and I was so hooked by it that I am ready for book two…now! From the very beginning I could not put it down. When I got to the end… I screamed. Yes I woke up the doggies. This book just drew me in to the point that I was in Grimm Cove and did not want to leave.
There was heat, danger, sass, three kick tail women, and tension. Also the threat of bodily harm to the ex. Personally I loved that last one.
Poppy is the one that got away for Brett. She is also his mate and now she is back in his life and fresh off a divorce. Can he win her back or has that ship sailed, due to how big of an a$$ he was to her? Poppy goes to Grimm Cove after her divorce. She has always loved the town and the house her grandparents lived in. Even though she inherited the house, someone or something does not want her in it. Why? Not everything is as it appears and Poppy learns that the things that go bump in the night are real.
Funny, Awkward, Fierce & Powerful!! A Wonderful 4.5 Stars

Cloudy with a Chance of Witchcraft (Grimm Cove #1)
This is a comically funny story but underneath it has heartbreak, betrayal, true friendships & second chance love all woven into the ending of a long term marriage. Wanting a divorce is thrown in Poppy’s face with such a callous indifference, by her husband, it leaves you stunned!! Her two bestfriends since college immediately rally around her & support her throughout the divorce & move, to her Grandparents old home in Grimm Cove, so completely they both up-sticks & move with her!
Dana & Marcy couldn’t be more different from each other but in some things they’re the same – loyalty, love & protection of each other and of course Poppy and her Twins too, Tucker & Pepper. This trio’s dynamic is fabulous, I adored them all. Grimm Cove has secrets, Supernatural ones. Poppy is going to have to stop burying her head in the sand over what her Grandma always hinted at about their family, especially if she plans to survive the serial killer that’s on the loose within the city!!
This is a really enjoyable read. I loved the rekindling of an old love. All of the new experiences & especially the scary bits!! Bad@ss 40 year old women kicking butt & taking names, knowing exactly who they are & what they deserve – perfect!!

Poppy thought she had real love once, before he ran out on her before they’d managed to do the deed. She moved on but her hubby never really compared to Brett. But when the douchecanoe unceremoniously dumps her, in the middle of a so-called dinner date, he also lets slip that this latest floozie is only the last in a line of adultery he has committed.
After the divorce is final Poppy decides to move back to the one place she has always felt was home – Grimm Cove. Her besties have also decided to move with her, one after she took the handsy DA to task and the other…well she kind of lives in her own little world. She might be a freak but she is Poppy’s freak!
But before even getting to her grandparents former home, Poppy literally crashes into the life of Brett once more. Now the sheriff after leaving the Special Forces with a crick knee (crick knees even get shifters!) Brett never thought he’s get a second chance to tell Poppy why he ran out on her and treated her so shabbily – he was in the middle of a shift and he was terrified of hurting her.
But the move in party becomes a little too much when Poppy continues to see the female who took her hubby everywhere and there is what can only be described as demonic runes all over the house!
Great story of friends as family, rekindling love and a great new baddie to hate. Lots of surprises in store for this intrepid trio of friends and I can’t wait to see if a certain weredeer gets himself in order!
Time to pull up the depends and kick some serious arse!
Starting over at the age of 40 is hard enough but finding out that the things that go bump in the night are real and you are one of them could push someone right over the edge. Well someone a bit younger maybe but not for Poppy and her best friends.
Moving back to her hometown of Grimm Cove, South Carolina with her besties Dana and Marcy is just what the doctor ordered. She has so many wonderful memories there as well as Brett, the man who broke her teenage heart.
The little town has some interesting people of the paranormal kind. Bodies are turning up, someone is killing witches, Poppy just may be in for more trouble than she and her friends can handle.
This book is filled love and laughter, I adore both Poppy and Brett’s friends. They will have you laughing until your sides hurt.
I can’t wait for the next in this charming series.
I loved the wonderful characters! Typical of Mandy Roth, it sucked me completely before I finished the 1st page. Everything else was put on hold until I finished the story. Her detail to character development and describing the scenes without over doing it, has always been amazing. I loved it!
Cloudy With a Chance of Witchcraft is bk 1 in the new series Grimm Cove by Mandy M. Roth. This is about Brett and Poppy’s story and what a fantastic story it is!
We are introduced to Poppy whose marriage has exploded after 20 years because her hubby cheated on her. She moves back to her Grandparents family home in Grimm Cove where strange things start occurring… This is a PNR read filled with twists, turns, humor and 2nd chance romance. Loved the cast of characters in this story and look forward to the next book in this new series.
