When Ellison Russell is nearly killed at a benefactors’ party, she brushes the incident aside as an unhappy accident. But when her house is fire-bombed, she’s shot at, and the person sitting next to her at a gala is poisoned, she must face facts. Someone wants her dead. But why? And can Ellison find the killer before he strikes again? Add in an estranged sister, a visiting aunt with a shocking … with a shocking secret, and a handsome detective staying in her guesthouse, and Ellison might need more than cream in her coffee.

CLOUDS IN MY COFFEE by Julie Mulhern | A Henery Press Mystery. If you love one, you’ll probably love them all.

Rather juvenile and boring certainly not a page turner or action packed
Wonderfully written and a joy to read. I loved that this was set in the 1970’s. With the beautifully written text, you can picture the atmosphere of the 70’s. The characters were likable and I can’t wait to read more in the series!
I enjoyed this mystery it kept me between engrossed in the story and guessing who it might be. I wasn’t expecting it.
An interesting story. A relaxing afternoon read.
I enjoyed the story as a little weekend read. I thought the different attacks on Ellison’s life or whoever else it may be were believable. I’m not sure if I liked it that Ellison kept doing her own thing knowing she could be in danger. But all in all well written and fun to read. Was a little surprised at the ending but not totally caught off guard. I kind of thought in the back of my mind it could be. Don’t want to give too much away. Worth the purchase.
Always a joy to read a story set in my hometown!
Very good! Can’wait to read more by the author.
I liked the characters and enjoyed the book

Quick read. Found interesting.
A great summer read. Surprising plot and believable characters. Wonderful way to pass a few hours. Can’t wait for the next book.
I liked the KC backdrop and it was fun that the time period was the 70’s
Definitely worth reading more in the series!
Interesting look into those who think that they are rich and entitled. The characters think they are above the common people when they are the ones walking in the gutter.
Liked story and action
Once you got past the weird names, it was a good read
Loved it!
Didn’t get very far before I decided it was not to my liking.
Went along for the romp. The end was a somewhat abrupt switch, but had fun on the ride.
