When Ellison Russell is nearly killed at a benefactors’ party, she brushes the incident aside as an unhappy accident. But when her house is fire-bombed, she’s shot at, and the person sitting next to her at a gala is poisoned, she must face facts. Someone wants her dead. But why? And can Ellison find the killer before he strikes again? Add in an estranged sister, a visiting aunt with a shocking … with a shocking secret, and a handsome detective staying in her guesthouse, and Ellison might need more than cream in her coffee.

CLOUDS IN MY COFFEE by Julie Mulhern | A Henery Press Mystery. If you love one, you’ll probably love them all.

Good but slow start
I did not fins this book very entertaining because of the dirty language the author put in it and I stopped reading it right away.
Easy to read, realistic characters.
Very enjoyable
It didn’t appeal to me
I did not like it it was hard to follow
I love her style of writing. Page turner, entertaining, funny. Develops great characters with a “old” money, 70’s attitude.
Weak story line.
I found this mystery to be a bit superficial, as well as the world she writes about, the country club set. It may be my own prejudice, but it didn’t have a lot of staying power.
A fun read.
silly not very god writing predictable
This series is incredible! I never want to stop reading about Ellison’s adventures. My mom is obsessed too!
This is a great series. The main character is admirable and resourceful, while still being realistic.
I am the age of her daughter and the 1970s are well done.
I enjoyed the story but am getting tired of main characters that when in danger, don’t think they need protection.
A cute cozy mystery with lots of sibling rivalry and family secrets.
Loved this entire series! Couldn’t wait for the next book and then couldn’t put it down!
A lot going on but a fun, suspenseful read
Good read, couldn’t put it down.
Loved the characters of this delightful series, and the descriptions of Kansas City where I lived for a number of years. Haven’t read them all, but I’m working on it!
I know my okay rating is all on me. This is a perfectly fine book, but I never was able to relate to the characters. I never did click with them; didn’t even like them very much. To me, it was just reading a story with no connection. Sorry.
