I enjoy all my cozy mystery books.
This book kept me guessing. It was definite a page Turner!!!
Lightweight and fun.
Great ending.
Just so much fun to read. tongue-in-cheek. Like a delicious hot fudge sundae. Please write more.
Love the I the sarcasm. Think I knew most of those people in my small hometown. No one was ever shot at the club, but wives who were just too good. And can you say snooty?
It was a little disjointed
I loved Clouds in my Coffee by Julie Mulhern. Someone is trying to kill Ellison, but they keep missing. Gunshots, arson, wobbly statues crashing down. This murder mystery will keep you guessing and turning pages. I love Mulhern’s style of writing. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read!
Good story and thankfully no yukky sex.
Good developed characters. Great story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was so much fun to have a heroine who didn’t have to worry about money. This one is rich. All the characters wear designer clothes, drive fancy cars and go to the club. Yet the author does a good job of making them real and identifiable. The mystery is clever, with multiple suspects, but part of the fun is getting a glimpse into a different world.
Memories for those who know about this era personally
Love all her books
Clouds in my Coffee (Country Club Murders #3) by
Julie Mulhern is a 1970’s murder mystery. Characters are complex and interesting, especially the relationships between family members. The plot lines twist and turn making it difficult to predict the perpetrator and motive (a good thing in a mystery story). The author represents a mood of wealth and privilege in the 70’s and spices it all with sarcastic humor. A satisfying and enjoyable read.
Very Nice read
Ok….nothing memorable
I simply couldn’t get beyond the first few pages. I found the writing to be simplistic, contrived and very immature.
good read
This is a fun read. Don’t think about it too much as you read it. It’s for fun and get-away. Enjoy the ride.
A fun read!
