When someone is murdered by a sniper with a military past, it sets off a nationwide manhunt for an elusive serial killer. FBI Special Agent Jack Randall finds himself appointed to track down and stop the shooter. Not by his superiors, but by the killer himself.
As more bodies fall, the vigilante takes his political messages to the press, earning the support of the public with his choice of … choice of targets and confounding the FBI at every turn. From the desert of Nevada to the urban jungle of New York City, Jack and his team follow the trail of bodies and haunting messages left behind by the vengeful killer. With Jack racing against time, the assassin’s crimes grow bolder, and his message more sinister and closer to home.
It becomes clear to Jack that, in order to find the shooter, he will have to look inside his own past and become the man he was years ago.

I could understand the feelings of both the killer and the FBI agent on the case. Throughly enjoyed this page-turner!
Great Read !!
Great story line, a wonderful procedural with an excellent
cast of characters. In addition, the plot expressed the need for a fairer judicial system with a more level field for rich and poor alike.
I am looking forward to the next Jack Randall Book
Dialogue is important to me, and the dialog in this one is a little stilted. Interesting premise; a terminally ill shooter that will have you rooting for him. The book ends the way you know it has to.

Right wing vigilante methodically kills soft on crime liberals.
Liked the characters. Great suspense.
This book is 400 pages and almost every one had me riveted!

It took me longer to read than usual because of the depth of detail. Extremely satisfying, reminded me of the early writings of Tom Clancy. An intelligent, thought-provoking thriller. Both the protagonist and antagonist were equally appealing and sympathetic.
Kept me interested and did not want to put it down.
Really enjoyed this book, lots a twists and turns, a great read.
