Almost sixteen-year-old Casey Donovan just wants to survive high school ~ uncontrollable trips to the 19th century do NOT help.
Casey Donovan’s hair is too curly, her limbs too long, and she barely fills an A cup. She can throw a ball as well as any boy, but for reasons she wouldn’t dare share, she never tries out for any team. Casey nurses a secret crush on the unattainable Nate Mackenzie. Nate … secret crush on the unattainable Nate Mackenzie.
Nate Mackenzie, super jock and quarterback at Cambridge High, hadn’t even heard of Casey Donovan until the night of the Fall Dance. That was when his buddies dared him to ask her to dance. That was when the craziness started.
From USA Today bestselling author Lee Strauss.
What readers are saying:
“What a fun read! Lee Strauss successfully combines adventure, time travel and romance all in one book. This isn’t your typical sci-fi, time travel book”
“This is a light-hearted time-travel. Part adventure, some disaster, a dash of comedy and an edge of romance.”

I wasn’t sure whether the mix of plucky-teen-underdog and time-travel tropes would work well together, but this was a heck of a lot of fun to read!
This is an excellent book for an adolescent. Not so much for an older adult. That being said, if you are a teenager and interested in time travel this is very well done and has a number of enticing elements. I got it by accident and though I haven’t seen my teen years for decades, had to continue reading to the end.
Great book!!
Teens have enough going on in their lives without adding sudden, awkward trips to the past. And when you add a little danger and a series of escalating romantic complications, you end up with a fun, satisfying read. The protagonist, Casey Donovan, is very self-aware. She goes on endlessly about her height, her hair, and her perceived lack of …
A little childish read. Maybe am too old for it.
At the beginning I didn’t know what was going on. I couldn’t figure what time period Casey was going back to. It took about a third of the way through to begin to make sense to me. I thought this was more a teenager type of book. Then it began to make more sense. I realiAt zed there is substance & life lessons in the story that most teenagers …
I totally enjoyed this book. I’ve read a couple other time travel books over the years but I feel like this book has more impact. The main characters are actually fighting a budding romance. They simply go with the flow and enjoy the people they are around even though they are many many years in the future to where they generally leap. A wonderful …
Just did not like the feel of this one. I gave up after the second chapter.
Very good book never was bored. Can’t wait to start the second book
Clockwise Clock Wise
(Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.) Clockwise by Elle Strauss is a Young Adult Cozy Mystery. The premise is time travel back to a specific time period of 150 years. In this case pre-Civil War. There are two characters that are the focus of the story. The first and main time …

I loved this book sooo much i cant wait to see the next one.
Time travel is awesome! But it also comes with its own complications. Elle Strauss did a great job of making time travel “realistic” while keeping the fun, mystery, and adventure of traveling through time alive.
Entertaining story I couldn’t put down. I was prepared not to like this when I downloaded the free copy, but found it was well-written and really worth reading. I liked it so well that I downloaded the copy of Clocked which the author offered for free, just to get Nate’s point of view on all that happened in Clockwise. I was pleasantly surprised …
Loved the characters and originality in this one. I ended up buying the next in the series I enjoyed it so much!
I stopped reading after 3rd chapter. Don’t waste your time
Enjoyed these characters.
Great story line but the rest of the series isn’t on audio yet
not really for adults but it was an ok read. i suspect it’s spun out into an endless series of very similar stories so i’ll just stop with this one and not spoil it. the series thing is really annoying. it’s like they’re beating a dead horse to get one more ride out of it
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Liked that it took me away from the real world even if for a little while.
