I really liked this book. It is a great enemy to lovers story.
Wes and Avery have known each other since high school. Wes went out of his way to be mean to Avery and once she graduated, she hightailed it out of there.
Years later, she has to return and the first person she sees is Wes. Wes wants to change Avery’s mind about him and goes out of his way to do so.
I loved the character of Wes. He is deep down a great man with a little caveman in him. You will have to read the book to understand.
Avery has come home after her mother suffers a stroke. Being away for eight years, she prepares herself for possibly bumping into her arch nemesis Wes, the boy who made her life miserable in high school. She doesn’t expect him to be a gorgeous, successful, bearded beast. She also doesn’t expect that his life is deeply intertwined with her older sister Lucy & nephew Jeremiah. She makes it her mission to keep as far away from him while she’s in town, despite being attracted to the lumberjack.
Wes can’t get over how beautiful Anal Avery has grown up to be. He knows he can still get under her skin, especially by calling her his favorite nickname from high school. What he doesn’t know is how deeply hurt she felt with the teasing she endured. With Wes forcing himself into her life she has no choice but to see how he’s changed. Will Avery put her guard down & give Wes a chance?
Avery has trust issues with Wes & has to decide if he’s worth taking a risk for. Is Wes truly a changed man or does he just want her in his bed? This was a great enemies to lovers book. Looking forward to reading more from this writing duo.
Wes has been the thorn in Avery’s side since high school. He christened her Anal Avery and the joke got old very fast! She couldn’t wait to leave small town Piney View behind and take on the big smoke. Avery receives a call from her sister Lucy informing her that her mother has had a stroke. She has to leave California to return home after eight long years. This go on as if she had never left, Wes is waiting to pick her up at the airport holding a sign Anal Avery. How is she going to keep her feelings under control, she can’t wait to return to California. Wes runs a successful lumberjack business with a business name only he could be proud of – Good Wood! His one disappointment in life has been Avery, he has wanted her since high school but she doesn’t know that.
A true enemy to lovers story. Wes teased Avery calling her Anal Avery in high school to the point the wanted to get out of their small town to avoid his ways. Years later a family emergency rings her back only to have him reinserted in her life since he is close to her sister and is the neighbor. As she starts working for him, their attraction flairs. She is hot for his big muscles, lumberjack style and their banter. Things build and all the sparks fly in sexy scenes. Loved it! Can’t wait to see what Lucy has been hiding!
Avery is back in her small home town to help care for her mom. The reason she left town, Wes the bully, is her sister’s best friend and wants a relationship with Avery. Can she forgive him? Can she give up California life and move back for good?
Clipped is another entertaining novella by Remy Blake. If you are a fan of the friends to lovers trope, this one is for you! Wesley has been pushing Avery’s buttons since high school and 8 years later nothing much has changed. Even though Avery wants to hate Wes for all his years of torment, her traitorous body has other ideas. With tons of witty banter, sexual tension and sweet moments, you too will be #TeamWesForever.

Clipped is a great enemies-to-lovers read.
I enjoyed it very much. It’s well written with likable characters. There were many moments that I was laughing or swooning over Wesley. I didn’t like him at the beginning of the book, when he was younger. He was a jerk and not very nice. Though, he grew up to be a great guy. Wes proved that he had a good heart. He was amazing with Avery’s nephew and showed her that he wasn’t the same guy she knew in high school. Speaking of Avery, she had some sass in her and could hold her own against Wesly. I loved their banter and the way she teased him, especially his rivalry with Magnus. One thing that I would have liked is that they would have talked about how he treated her in high school. Maybe apologized for his behavior. I know it’s was a long time, but it still affected her. Well, I think in this case actions spoke louder than words. #TeamWes
This was my first book by Remy Blake and it won’t be the last one. They make the perfect writing duo. Their style flows flawlessly.
4.5 stars
I love a great book with Witty Sexy banter and Clipped had it all. This was a great quick read by Remy Blake, I am now hooked on their books.
Who doesn’t love a Sexy as hell Bearded Lumberjack who knows his way around the bedroom? Wes aka The Big Bad Wolf will make swoon, giggle and Blush throughout this book. He can’t get enough of Avery and he can’t help himself by pushing her buttons.
Avery is a little firecracker, after years of being taunted by Wes back in school she is about to take no shit from this man and trust she will give as good as she gets. Avery gets called home due to a family emergency and after being away for so long from the people she loves she struggles with being back in the town she grew up in.
I loved the dialogue between these 2 leads, if your after a read that gives you Banter with a side of Sexy then Clipped is for you! Though roughly enjoyed this book and Remy Blakes characters.

This was my first book from Remy Blake. It was a quick great read. Loved the story enemies to lovers with humor along the way to a HEA. Can’t wait to read more from this duo.
I love this book!! Hands down the best book Remy Blake has written to date. It was fun to see Wes and Avery go from enemies to lovers, the lengths Wes went to hook Avery was so sweet! I would recommend Clipped for a great fast read with a sweet HEA.
I absolutely loved this enemies to lovers novella, Clipped has a but if everything in this story. Sexy lumberjack, laughter and family closeness. I felt he pace was consistent my attention was held throughout. Wes has done a lot of growing up from his High School days and he’s trying to show Avery that. Lucy, Avery’s sister pulled my attention with some of her comments and has my mind going to all these different scenarios. I’m curious as to what her story is about, hope we get to hear it someday. If you’re looking for a quick read that will keep you grinning and the pages turning I highly recommend you grab your copy now. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Good read, original and pretty well written.
