“I died twice and came back to tell about it.”Michele flirted with death for six years, trying to numb her pain following a sexual pervert’s attack. Attempting to protect herself, she allowed hatred of men to control her, and used mind control to manipulate others. Suffering with acute anorexia nervosa, she was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital at age twenty-three.She woke up in hell, a … woke up in hell, a place of eternal damnation, horror, torment, and fire. Rescued by the Savior whose soft, gentle voice she had rejected, Michele was given a new chance at life and turned wholeheartedly to the Lord.
When her body was completely paralyzed from an anaphylactic allergy attack as a young mother, she found life leaving her body once again. “This time,” she says, “I was ushered into the splendorous glory of Heaven—a place of almost indescribable light and love.”
Sent back to tell her story, Michele Pulford warns others of the horrors of the kingdom of darkness, and tells them of the glory of true abundant life in God’s kingdom of light.
This personal love story, as well as a story about death and eternal life, is both a warning and a promise, and ultimately an unforgettable account of the love of God that would not let a young woman go.

My thoughts on Climbing into Eternity:
I don’t read a lot of non-fiction currently as reading is a bit of an escape for it. It helps me to release some of the stress of our life here and just enjoy quiet in my mind for a while.
This is a non-fiction book that really makes you think. No hiding away in this book as it’s going to challenge you and make you take a closer look at your life.
While this is a non-fiction book it is also a bit graphic in that it describes a lot of what the author went through. This includes being sexually attacked, abusive relationships, and her eating disorders. I think this would be a really good book for someone struggling with eating disorders.
Also in this book are descriptions of what the author experienced going to heaven and hell when she was pronounced dead and then came back to life.
There were definitely parts of this book that I did not enjoy, but there were also some really good nuggets of wisdom to be had. It will make you think about your life and question whether your actions are leading you to heaven and God or not.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
This is an unusual story. The author claims to have died twice. The first time she went to Hell and years later she went to Heaven. Obviously she returned to her human body both times.
I am unsure how to review this book. My beliefs and what I have been taught are that when you are unsaved and die, that is the end. You have no chance of redemption after that and cannot go to Heaven. The author tells a very different story.
The God-glorifying and inspirational parts of the book are wonderful. The author has listed many things that are worthy of repeating. She stresses that we should always praise and thank God despite what our circumstances might be. God wants to heal us of all the addictions we suffer from and will help us receive freedom when we truly ask for His help. She reminds us of God’s everlasting love, patience, and kindness.
This book is a perplexing one for me. I found so much good in it, but I had so many questions on it. Honestly I am not equipped to answer them. Maybe only Jesus is. If you want to read this book I would suggest you do it prayerfully. A few things did not seem right to me in my soul, but this was not my experience. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but these are my own, honest words.
Climbing into Eternity
This book is a fast reading book. I read it in just a few hours even though it was three hundred and sixty eight pages.
Michelle has a eating disease, she wants to be really skinny. She got to the point where it affected her body really bad. It was a wonder that she survived. This book is hard to read about all that Michelle went through.
This is a very inspiring story. The author takes us from hell to heaven. The book has a lot of bible verses in it to lead us to Christ.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit. This book review is my own opinion.
This is certainly not an easy book to read. Unfortunately I could relate to the author in many ways. When you are not protected by your parents it destroys your feeling of safety and trust. The author is very vivid in her descriptions of addiction and mental problems. The hate she had inside of her oozed throughout the book. Her hate for everything overtook her and she started punishing herself. In her mind it was her fault that she was violated by a man. I didn’t care too much for the description of the attack and thought it could have been written a bit more respectful.
The details of the authors eating disorder are hard to read but exactly what someone needs to hear. It is a dangerous disease and can cause serious complications. I was happy to read that her parents at one point decided that they were going to help her get better. It seemed like the author was fighting this alone. The voices she was hearing was the enemy whispering lies to her. Her manipulation was a way for her to protect herself. At one point she decides that death is best for her. What a sad state she was in.
The book follows the author through many ups and downs and shows how much of a hold the enemy had on her life. I did think the book could have left some details out and still been effective. I do understand how tormented she was and I desperately wanted her to get help. The first thing she needed to do was admit she needed help. Sometimes we have to go to the depths of hell before we realize how much we need God. That is exactly what the author goes through. At some point she will face death head on and need to call out for God to rescue her.
I can’t say for sure if the author was taken to hell or if it was an out of body experience. It is very graphic and pretty much scared me. I never want to go to wherever the author went. The author does make a good point of saying that God looks at the heart. He can see the ugliness inside us and there is no where to hide anything. Hatred is something that turns your heart into stone and will try to destroy anything in its path.
The book is a powerful testimony of a woman who faces the enemy and the chaos she goes through to find peace. Through everything she went through it can be said with confidence that God never left her. He forgives each of us and wants us to be set free from the lies of the enemy.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
