WOW! Clever Chloe is a fantabulous addition to this awesome series! Right of the bat I am hooked by all the magic, the mystery and the intrigue, by Chloe’s gift, by her discovering as we go what powers she actually has, by her development and growth. The storyline is just so addictive and at times had me gasping and sitting on the edge of my seat biting my fingernails and that ending, well that was a twist I did not see coming! I love the characters, the family and even some of the darker characters and I so cannot wait to read fatal Freyer the next book!
Six years after Nara’s death, Chloe’s life seems to be spinning out of control with all the strange occurrences surrounding her family – and herself. Not only is another family member lost, but the challenge to find the missing family members becomes prominent; even more so when the not-so-friendly coven of witches is willing to unite against the greater evil while still following their own goals. Chloe, a talented necromancer with some unique gifts, plays a vital role in the pursuit for truth and answers..
The fourth book in this excellent series brings yet more eye-opening scenes and key revelations that speed up the events and form a fuller picture of this fantasy world. Witches and vampires are not the only fantastic creatures anymore, and the more we get to know Chloe and the Roussard family, the deeper into the magical world we dive. I definitely enjoyed much getting to know this more mature Chloe, the person she became from the already very promising child, shaped into a talented young lady with heart in the right place and open mind to comprehend the complexity of the mess that are the family secrets. And as Freya entered now the scene, I am very much looking forward to read the final installment in the series.
This is the fourth book in the “Gifted Girls Series” and it is the story of Chloe and her research of her grandfather and uncle…
You will meet new friend, spirit and… a lot will happened…
A story for all that love paranormal story…

Being able to see and talk to ghost is not all you’d imagine it could be. My gram has passed and has left me with a task to find Issac but I have no idea where to start looking for him. Creative storyline and characters that draw you in and keep you reading the see how things work out. I really enjoyed reading this series yes this book is book 4 in a series.

I volunteered to give a honest review for this ARC.
Clever Chloe, is a nice story about yet another family member that has strong magical abilities. We are focusing on the youngest daughter of Miri, Chloe. This witch tale is becoming more then a witch , as Chloe finds out that maybe other bloodlines are in the mix.
Again we encounter again the usual suspects, but also new characters are introduced. While Chloe is trying to get a handle on her necromance abilities, some new abilities start to introduce themselves. Chloe makes new friends while in search of her grandfather and Uncle Mike who mysteriously have vanished. Can she unravel this mystery when danger comes to her from all corners?
There is a lot of magical and super natural action going on. But I still found the whole concept light hearted and fun to read. Chloe is a badass Ghost whisperer that can command a whole army of dead. How far will she go to uncover the truth? And will she put new discovered friends in danger?
I am not so fan of vampires, but the way the story is spun with a little twist, it is acceptable to me.
I still love the world building around New Orleans, the cemeteries are always so fascinating and it is portrayed many times when Chloe finds herself in some.
Something wicked this way comes.
This is book 4 of the Gifted Girls Series. Im really enjoying this series. Book 4 had a great storyline with a great flow. I love the characters and they are well written. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Clever Chloe
This is the fourth book of the Gifted Girls series and takes place 6 years after Nowhere Nara. Chloe is now a teenager and is learning how to best control and use her powers. To help, she is mentored by a local coven necromancer.
When the book opens, her grandmother is in hospice, and the family gathers to say goodbye. For Chloe, this is goodbye and farewell, as she has a short conversation with her Gran, who tells her that she must find her grandfather, Isaac and her Uncle Michael.
The rest of the story is about this search. We learn much more about this unique New Orleans witch family, why they are estranged from most other local witches, and more about their supernatural world. Chloe makes a new friend, Yoshi, a local ghost hunter, who with his sister, helps with the quest. The rest of the family, dead and alive are there, working to solve the mystery. These books are interesting, well crafted, with an interesting take on the genre. I would recommend this for young adults, and those who enjoy YA fantasy literature.

This is a fantastic series that is fast paced and action packed. The World building and Character building are fantastic, as I read I could picture in my mind’s eye the scenes. I couldn’t put the book down until I was finished, I definitely recommend.

Chloe Richman is a young witch; a witch with something more. Her days are filled with learning, friends and family, yet something is missing… Despite the danger, Chloe is determined to uncover hidden secrets and solve decades old mysteries… Will Chloe know what to do with the secrets she discovers?
Dangers and delights, old enemies and new allies; a captivating read that you can’t put down! Loved every twist and turn, and the ending will leave you gasping!
I’ve just finished this book at 2.30 in the morning. I was going to leave a review tomorrow but wanted to report back while it’s still fresh.
This was another amazing story this time based on Chloe. No spoilers but it’s such a compelling tale that you can’t fail to fall in love with her character.
She used her “ gifts” , yes more than one with a maturity beyond her young years but with courage and “ true grit”.
She is truly a unique individual but at the same time remains part of a warm and loving family.
Her story was one I so enjoyed following. It’s was full of emotion and excitement together with an intensity that makes it difficult to put the book down .
Absolutely loved it.
This is book four of the Gifted Girls series and follows the main character Chloe, as her grandmother’s health fails on the sixth anniversary of her younger sister Nara’s death. The spirits of her great gram or GG as the girls called her, Nara and her boyfriend Dylan, are always around when she needs assistance, at least when they aren’t busy doing something in their own spirit world, that is! Just before her grans funeral, a young man called Yoshi accosts her in the street and he is accompanied by the guardian spirit of his sister, and he wants confirmation from Chloe of the spirit world and his sister’s presence. He is heavily involved in a club that investigate supernatural occurrences and have lots of ghost hunting tech. His timing is really bad, but he starts to grow on Chloe.
Chloe is from a long line of blood witches and her particular talent is in necromancy and her connections to the dead. Her gran is in a hospice and that place plus hospitals and cemeteries are places she normally avoids at any cost, as the dead who still linger on this realm, whether by unfinished business or by want, are always overwhelming her as they are drawn to her light. On her death bed, her gran gives her instructions to locate the lost members of her family, her grandfather Isaac who she has never met and her uncle Michael who has been missing for years, and told her that Zion is the key! She will need to ask the dead for help in solving these disappearances, which her mother amongst others, have tried to solve for years. They cannot be located with any witch spells, so must be heavily warded, wherever they are.
Her family home is heavily warded and protected to keep out any unwanted or evil spirits, to leave her a haven away from all the dead’s demands for her help. Her family get an unexpected request, from the French Quarter’s witches, asking for assistance to find their own missing family members and to help them find theirs. A long held disagreement has led to the two factions being at opposites for decades. Chloe’s new friend Yoshi looks for information on Zion and Chloe herself finds a link to a school her uncle went too, which is run by someone called Sadler, a name Zion is also linked to. But when she tries to approach the heavily evil spirit that seems to surround the hospice and which all the other ghosts are petrified of, she faces something much more powerful than her. She also learns a little bit more about herself and her true lineage, which throws up a few surprises.
She is introduced to an ancient ancestor, the king as his followers call him, and the vampire family he controls, but he won’t actually interfere in the lives of others, as he sees this pretty much below him and things will happen as they should. Chloe experiences some strange new powers, more than even her family expected and she must learn to control them and more if they are to be successful against the evil they are all facing. Another great story in this series and one more to round it off, yet to come. Add in the re-emergence of her evil ancestor Eleanora, and the whole family will need to group together to banish her again and train Chloe to protect herself better, especially when under stress or attack. I look forward to the next book in this series and would recommend it to all who love a bit of a supernatural and witchy read. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Clever Chloe (Gifted Girls Series, Book 4) by Debra Kristi is an amazing story to read. This is book number four in this amazing series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about witches and fantasy.

Chloe’s family has many secrets, most normal humans around them are unaware they are witches, but many of the paranormal kind know who they are. Some of their family has gone missing over the years, like Chloe’s Grandpa Isaac, and her Uncle Michael. Chloe has the gift of talking with the dead. Will she have any luck finding them? It helps to have read the other books in this series, I loved Chloe’s addition to this series, she was easy to love with her willingness to do what she had to (regardless of how afraid she might be).
Magic, mystery, danger around every corner …… so exciting. Really enjoyed this highly entertaining, action packed and heart racing adventure filled with dangerous and engaging charters, witty and memorable dialog, exciting twists and emotionally thrilling journey.
Chloe can see and talk to the dead, she is told that she must find her uncle and grandfather but first she has to find Zion and get some answers from him. She also has a cousin she need to locate. Lots of surprises and new characters to meet. A page turner with lots of action. I enjoyed the story and the series. I would recommend the book and series to all.

Chloe is a young necromancer and Miri’s daughter. Her great-grandmother wants her to find her great-grandfather and Chloe’s uncle. Chloe becomes embroiled in a battle with an evil spirit. She also meets a ghost hunter and his sister’s ghost. Things get more convoluted until Chloe feels like her head will explode. This is an exciting book with plenty of mystery, magic, and a touch of young love.
