Cleaver Square is one of the best books I have read recently. Very good writing-great story, little mystery. This takes place in London and the writer is evidently
English. NO swearing or F word which is terrific as far as I am concerned. The message about the character of the people comes across well without the necessity of the profane. Would recommend this one.
Really kept my interest. Great book. Suspense.
Good mystery, catches your attention and doesn’t let go. Give it a try.
The book was too slow getting to the point.
It was a good book, kept my interest, wondering who killed the little boy.
good mystery
Great, kept me up all night to finish.
Just ok
Not a page turner
Fairly good plot but it jumped all over the place. Too much unnecessary character development and not enough of a believable story line. Not worth the effort.
Just a good English mystery with an unusual crime and a dedicated detective who would not give up despite personal tragedy.
I enjoyed the DCI Morton story. Truthfully, I read about five books per week and once I finish one must review immediately or confuse the stories.
It was not easily predictable. I loved plot and characters. Very realistic.
Kept my interest to the very last page!
Good but not great
Following the twists and turns of the case as well as DCI Mortons life were interesting as well as realistically possible. Liked the main characters.
good solid British mystery to read on a free afternoon or two.
It kept me interested and had a surprise ending. I really enjoyed it!
Pretty good, if you like police procedurals.
This is a well written solid thriller that will entertain you.
There were enough sub plot developments to keep the story interesting, and they were all tied up neatly in the end. However, for main characters who were supposedly top notch and decorated for their brilliant detective work, I found them to be bewilderingly dense. They tried to pin the crimes on everyone but the most glaringly obvious, the one who would be the first suspect to anyone with a brain. I was frustrated by their lack of common sense and logic.
