I remembered her. I remembered everything. But was it a blessing or a curse?Half of me was still in love with the blue eyed girl wearing my crown around her neck. The other, felt betrayed that she could walk away when I needed her the most. Struck down by her absence, an internal war brewed within my kingdom. Along with my childhood memories a new emotion was unleashed, one I was unable to … I was unable to control.
Rage
Unbridled, unrelenting, rage.

Cleansed With Fire
Cleansed with all S. K. Rose’s fucking words is more like it.
Crowned With Guilt was an amazing and heart wrenching book. And the second book in this series was the fucking perfect conclusion for Tessa and Andrew’s story.
“Fate really is a fickle bitch”
And that she is when it came to Tessa and Andrew.
My emotions were on edge from just reading the prologue. That’s right the mother fucking prologue. And they stayed in a perpetual up and down state till the very last word of the epilogue. This is something that I have a feeling that S. K. Rose is sitting back wearing a Cheshire smile when she thinks of how she is torturing her readers.
Up and down
Up and down, twist and turn
That was what my heart and emotions were doing when I was engrossed in this book. And I will say I didn’t want to get off the ride no matter how dizzy or how fast my S. K. Rose’s words made my heart race. Her characters are so perfectly crafted that you cannot help but get emotionally invested in them. You will want nothing but and HEA for all of them, whether they are a main or supporting character.
S. K. Rose had an amazing debut novel and her second novel is on the same level, and sets a new bar for her next book. I cannot wait for more from her and to share her words with anyone that asks for a series or an author that will have you emotionally invested in the story and characters. Or if they are looking for an author that will have you wanting to throw your reading device across the room.
Bubble wrapping your reading device is highly recommended while reading this book. Along with a stock pile of tissues.
This book made me feel a lot more than I ever thought possible. I felt all the anguish, pain, sadness and joy it brought to life. Some scenes were so raw and deep that it simply broke my heart. This author’s imagination is simply astounding.
OMG! I didn’t think anything could top Crowned With Guilt. This was a fantastic ending for Tessa and Andrew. I was unable to put this book down it drew me in and I couldn’t stop until it was done. It had ups and downs, tears and laughter. I can’t wait to see what S.K. Rose will do next. I just know I am going to love it.
What an incredible conclusion to the most beautifully tragic love story. Rose’s follow up to her debut Crowned with Guilt is an angsty emotional roller coaster of epic proportions.
Why does it seem as if the universe is determined to squash Tessa and Andrew? At every glimmer of hope, there is someone to snuff out the light.
A story of two children blessed with an unexplainable and undeniable bond fighting against seemingly insurmountable odds for their happily ever after.
This is a complete MUST READ!!! It is a conclusion and not a standalone. I literally could not put this book down. I cursed every day at life interrupting my reading. Beautifully written. You would never know that this is the author’s second book ever. Rose pulls every possible emotion from the reader over and over again.
An advanced reader copy was provided for an honest review. My review is in no way influenced and is my own personal opinion.
This is the second in a duet and you MUST read Crowned with Guilt first in order to get the full impact of what the characters in this story are dealing with. SK Rose killed it with this story (the entire duet) in my opinion. While I felt myself cringe, with my hand to my throat on more than one occasion, it certainly wasn’t because of the writing. I found the story to be amazingly well written. The characters are taken for a true ride though the dark rivers of hell — and not just Tessa, but all the people surrounding her. Some rose to the top of the heap in my opinion like Chase and Beth. Amazing side characters that I wouldn’t mind reading about in a future story someday (hint, hint). Tessa still feels cursed and it sure seems that this couple can’t seem to catch a break, but when darkness is all you know, darkness is all you seem to draw to you until they finally can see the light that can be when you trust and love.
This series utterly consumed my weekend. I started I was thinking about these characters while I laid in bed and instead of going back to sleep because the sun wasn’t even up I got up because I needed to know what would happen with these characters that I fell head over heals in love with.
At the beginning of book 2 it’s clear Tessa and Drew have changed a lot and as you turn the pages and learn these new versions of them I fell more in love and at some points I wanted to jump in the pages and knock them out. These beautifully broken people fell harder as they fought through tragedies that were meant to defeat the words were so fascinatingly woven together that the pain they feel brought pain to my chest, their happiest moments had me seeing hearts, and the lows of their sometimes devastating journey made my heart heavy and my stomach ache as I had tears pouring down my face.
I’m sure this book brought out emotions I haven’t felt in a long time and I loved every single second of it. What an incredible way to spend my weekend. This is one of those books I feel will stay with me long after I write this review.
S.K. Rose brings us more of Tessa’s heartbreaking story.
Now that Tessa is older you would think things would get better but nope. We once again watch Tessa be thrown into what I would call hell. This part of her story is more dark and gritty. Tessa shows us how bad ass she truly is. You’ll want to jump right in and fight along with her.
Tessa had moments when she wanted to give up but she didn’t, she fought back and didn’t let it break her. And that is the true definition of a survivor. For that, she will always hold a special place in my heart.
If you read CWG then you’re ready for CWF. If not, go get CWG first. Both books are very dark & angsty. If you are easily triggered, keep in mind there are some dark scenes. You’ve been warned. Now go one click this series and enjoy
SK Rose is amazing!! This is the follow up to Crowned with Guilt, as you must read that first!!
Andrew and Tessa will take you into the fairytale that they are both seeking. But as with all fairytales there is always a darkness ready to pull them away. Is Andrew and Tessa able to slay the dragon? Continue reading CWF to find out if happy endings truly do exist! SK will not dissapoint you!
Absolutely loved it! i cried when it ended I wish the duet could go on forever
I love this book so much! I kinda put off reading it because the way book one ended, I knew how I wanted Tessa’s story to go and SK just wasn’t playing ball lol. But I pulled up my big girl pants and I’m so glad I did!
When Tessa and Chase have to return to Alder Grove she knows she’ll have to deal with all the mess she left but nothing every goes to plan for Tessa.
She has always been Andrews Princess and him her Prince but she needs to realise its up to her to get through the sh*tstorm
“And who are you waiting for? Prince Charming to come save you?” She giggles.
“Man, I must get dumb when I grow up.” She frowns at me. “You are Tessa Kinsley, fighter, survivor, princess, and reaper. You are the hero of this story, and you are going to save yourself.”
This is an unexpected love story with many twist and turns that makes it so much better than your normal love story. An amazing end to an amazing story!
Once upon a time there was a beautiful, but broken princess named Tessa. She lived in a hell trapped by a dragon, the only time she is truly happy is in her castle with her prince. But life isn’t a fairy tale and happily ever after doesn’t exist.
The prince forgot her, and left her behind. And the princess always faced with darkness gave in and became the Reaper.
Tessa is just a girl trying to survive in a world that does nothing but knock her down, time and time again.
Chase is her best friend, both two souls born into darkness leaning on each other for support. Both having a glimpse at freedom- but freedom, as with anything comes with a price.
Force to come back and face the monsters of their past, and all they left behind. Including Andrew. Her prince. Once the sweet boy with the crooked smile, now grown and filled with rage. Once so full of light, he now has a little darkness of his own.
Will the the angry prince and broken princess be able to write their own story, or is history doomed to repeat itself?
This book. This book is the stunning conclusion of the Remember the Reaper Duet series following the events of Crowned With Guilt. I am still so much in love with these characters. Tessa who their are many sides of her- including her strength her will to survive. Chase- he’s a jokster, and born into the same darkness as Tessa. And I related to both. On some of what they been through, and their want to survive.
Then there is Andrew who turned a little dark in Tessa’s absence. He wasnt the same boy who was left behind. Marybeth once the small bubbly pink haired girl, now grown and blonde.
The story takes many unexpected twists and turns, and kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what happened to these characters I fell in love with. 5 out of 5.
Oh, my heart! Cleansed With Fire was absolutely the perfect conclusion to this duet. I am so in love with this story and I’m so glad I found S.K Rose as a new author. This book filled me with every intense emotion you can imagine, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. Andrew and Tessa had a long, hard road but they fought every battle and were stronger because of it! I am forever a fan of S.K. Rose now and will read everything she writes!
There are no words to express how much I craved this book after reading Crowned with Guilt. Cleansed with Fire begins 4 years after Crowned with Guilt. We see how Tessa and Chase are dealing with life after the tragic ending in the previous story. Andrew remembers Tessa, remembers the castle, but is plagued with guilt and anger, thinking Tessa has moved on. Tessa struggles with guilt knowing once again the Reaper has hurt Andrew, and yet finds herself unable to move forward in life. Situations force the dynamic duo to return to their hometown and once again Tessa and Andrew meet. Can romance be rekindled when memories are filled with scars, pain and sadness? Andrew and Tessa both are forced to find themselves, determine what they mean to one another and how to overcome the darkness that threatens to tear them apart. This book was the PERFECT duet. The ending was amazing. I’m a fan for life.
Awesome follow on from crowned with guilt answers some questions from the first book and heart stopping conclusion and extremely well written well done on the duet S K Rose
If i could give more stars i would. S.k Rose has set the bar so high with her debut duet that i am super excited to see what she comes up with next. The angst and drama from crowned with guilt continue in this concluding part. The range of emotions i experenced reading this book have exceeded any other i have read for a while. I smiled, i cried, i cursed S.K several times and i breathed a happily sad sigh when i read the last words.
Tessa and Andrew are thrown back into each others lives after being apart for several years. The pain and anguish they have both experienced in their time apart is nothing compaired to the road they travel once reunited and fighting for their own slice of happiness.
I honestly can not recommend this duet enough!!!!!
This book was absolutely amazing! I loved it from beginning to end
S.K. Rose’s debut series is outstanding. The second novel in her series seems to start a little slow but than finishes off strongly. The characters are well defined and the story is very well payed out.
This Book Is Perfection – There’s Nothing Else To Say!!
