The Angels are on the job after the stepson of Mr. P’s friend is murdered. This group of seniors with the addition of Sarah, Nick, and Mac are delightful. I love the Second Chance store and would love to visit. Elvis the cat is also fun! This book had a lot of suspects and it was difficult to guess the killer. Enjoyable story and I look forward to seeing what’s next for Sarah and Mac and the Angels. Also would love to see Jess and Liam in a real relationship and maybe Nick and Michelle!!
Absolutely love Sofia Ryan/Kelly’s books! If you love cats you will enjoy these books too. The mysteries are wonderful and the cats always get to help. Very well written cozy with fantastic characters. Enjoy!
I like this author and follow with all of her books. The action goes on and on and keeps you guessing.
Sarah Grayson owns a successful secondhand shop in the town of North Harbor, Maine. She and her rescued cat, Elvis, are often caught up in solving mysteries along with a lovable and quirky group of senior citizens who call themselves Charlotte’s Angels. They even have an office at Sarah’s store. When a man drops dead at a party, things seem suspicious from the start and it’s soon confirmed that he was poisoned. The motive seems to involve a piece of land that the victim had just bought, out from under someone who wanted tit for development. Can Sarah and Charlotte’s Angels solve this mystery?
I love this series and this book was no exception. Well-written with well-rounded characters, this book is a wonderful read. You will fall in love with the group of seniors as well as those in their circle. I’m already eager for the next book as this one hooked me from beginning to end. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
Finally!
I love this series so much and Claw Enforcement fits right in with its great story and wonderful characters. When people ask what series I would like to spent time in for real, Second Chance Cat is one that comes to mind immediately. Reading it was like catching up with old friends. As much as I enjoy the mysteries, it is time spent with the characters that makes these books tie for my top two cozy mysteries. The characters of all ages are beautifully developed, intelligent and fun. Some people don’t expect much of lighter fiction, but author Sofie Ryan offers a perfect example of the fact that light fiction can reflect quality writing.
I love the fact that Sarah and Mac are admitting, albeit subtly, that they are attracted to one another! I like that we continue to see progress on the downtown development which also means that a certain couple is still pretending to date; it is no surprise that none of the seniors have fallen for that gambit or that Jess and Owen aren’t aware that they are fooling no one. I appreciate that I could not figure out the murderer although I was starting to wonder, but it is fun to feel like I have followed the clues without being able to guess from the beginning.
