Clara Ellis, one of the beautiful Ellis sisters of Beacon Hill, Boston, thought she knew what her destiny would be—marrying one of the blue-blooded aristocrats of Boston society. Continuing to live a life of privilege with servants, wealth, trips to Europe and the regard which was her due. However, after her father’s business ventures failed, Clara and her sisters, along with their parents, find … parents, find themselves in dire financial straits. This is when her resourceful sister Minnie decided that they would leave Boston and travel West to Colorado as mail-order brides.
Peter Edwards, Clara’s intended, is a miner who was sure he’d strike it rich with his labors. But when Clara arrives in Colorado, she discovers that amiable, easy-going Pete Edwards is a far cry from her familiar Boston swains. He has only recently left the mining camp where he resided, and although he has built her a house which is, by mining camp standards, impressive, it is not equipped with the amenities of a Beacon Hill mansion.
Clara’s indomitable spirit is challenged by the primitive setting of her new home and she soon sets to work to transform the mining community into what she regards as a more suitable environment. Her husband is amused by her efforts but does not seem, to her irritation, to adapt to Boston standards.
As she and her sisters adapt to their new home in Colorado, they must come to terms that Boston is very far away and it looks as though the Christmas holiday will be spent without their parents. Will the Wild West ever feel like home for the holidays?

Heartwarming story.
This is a heartwarming mail order bride story. Clara fnds a home and love at Christmas. This story has endearing characters and a heartfelt storyline.
Clara’s Mail Order Joy (Home For Christmas Book 5) has characters that just jump right off the pages. 3 high society sisters from Boston decide to marry 3 men from Colorado to keep from being shamed by high society for losing everything when their father’s business closed. Mother had been placed in a sanitarium when things were getting so bad. Minnie decided they would be mail order brides. She wrote the letters to the men on behalf of each sister. She chose 3 men that lived relatively close so they could visit each other. Minnie’s husband was a small rancher named Gavin and she went to Colorado first. Clara put Hazel on the train next to make sure she would go and marry Harley a rich ranch owner. Clara went last after getting her father settled in a boarding home near their mother. Clara was to marry Peter a miner that owned his own mine. When Clara arrives she loved their cute little home. She is the only one that actually had a wedding thanks to Minnie and Hazel arriving first. Peter has a sense of humor that Clara seems to think needs getting used too. When she finally needs to go to the bathroom she is shown the privvy that Peter built telling her that people around the mines were always coming around to look at it. All the miners and their families considered Peter and Clara rich. She thought she was moving into a marriage that had money and would soon be rich again. Instead she finds the harsh realities of life to be very different from what she thinks. And when she meets the pet Angel, she becomes livid. But, with the sisters working together to put on a show for Christmas using the miner’s children, Christmas had a new special meaning for all that attended. Full of humor, romance, and a happy ending.
Wonderfully written storyline with characters that were so well defined that I was totally captivated as I turned each and every page until the very end!
This story is about a woman struggling to make it in Colorado. Her new husband is amiable, but isn’t concerned about making a society where they live. He is concerned about her being happy, and with her sisters living near; he hopes she can find some happiness with him. Clara is going to learn that home is where the heart is, and by becoming a mail order bride, her home is now in Colorado.
This was a sweet, well written story, and I love to witness the growing love as well as the personal growth in these books!
This was so fun to finish off thr trilogy of fhe three sisters! It filled in gaps that were intentionally left so each story didn’t rewrite what the other books already covered! I also appreciated the spat they had and how they made up! The children’s play was my favorite scene, but it was also a major part of the story was leading up it!
The beautiful Ellis sisters had been part of Boston’s elite in society. But life had a way of changing circumstances and they ended up as mail order brides to men in Colorado. Can you imagine the change? Clara was the last sister to go and it was to Peter, a miner in the town.
Needless to say, he and the country are much different than was she is use to, but she forges on and tries to make a new life.
A wonderful heartwarming story by this amazing author that warms the heart!
I really enjoyed this book. It was calm and homey and filled with learning. I’d love to see it made into a full length novel that extends past where it currently ends. I have not had the opportunity to read the sister’s stories that preceded it, and I am anxious to do so.

This is Clara and Peter’s story and the character development is excellent. It is a story with drama, false expectations and growing up in order to arrive at a HEA. I enjoyed this warm Christmas story and highly recommend it.
Clara travels from Boston to Colorado as a mail-order bride. Her sisters Hazel and Minnie have already traveled to Colorado as mail-order brides and one married a farmer while the other married a rancher. Clara’s husband to be Peter is a miner. Clara’s adjustment from living in Boston to living in a Mining camp in Colorado gives her some challenges. Clara and Peter’s first Christmas proves to be a memorable one. This is another beautifully written story by Natalie Dean.

Book five in the Home for Christmas series a well written story that helps Clara Ellis get over herself and find the true meaning of the Christmas season. It also helps her see her husband Peter Edwards a miner who she became a mail order bride to is a good and caring man. This is a beautiful story of helping others see the good in others and accepting them. So far this is my favorite in this series. A heartwarming story.
Clara goes from a life in Boston part of the aristocrats to a mail-order bride in Colorado. She is joined by her other sisters they too are mail-order brides thanks to Minnie one of her sisters. This is not the easiest thing for these ladies Boston seems so far away now. Minnie had left first and married a farmer, Hazel had married a rancher and now Clara would be leaving to marry a miner. Clara and Peter’s relationship hit a few rough spots and Clara needed to come to understand a few truths. It was a lovely story full of what makes Christmas wonderful. I loved the book! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Clara’s sister set her up with miner Peter and I was sunrises by this pairing as she was a refined lady from a formerly wealthy family and he was a crude farmer who did ok financially, but had not struck it rich yet. She complains about having to use an outhouse, but I was surprised after having servants that she didn’t complain or not know how to cook and clean. Clara was prejudice looking down on illegitimate children until she realizes that many of miner’s children she wants in the Christmas play she and her sisters are putting on are. There were funny and steamy moments in this mail order bride romance.
Another great read by Natalie Dean who once again brings a clean historical mail order bride romance. She brings strong characters,a fun banter and all the emotions , both laughter and tears and delivers her scenes in vivid detail, bringing the story to life. It’s an entertaining story and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A nice clean story to relax with. A story full of banter, laughing, some crying, and opening up, and growing up as well. This is a stand alone but in a series.
