Warning: Corked and Tapped is the name of the local neighborhood bar, though the patrons may argue it is far from ordinary. Be prepared for high heat, unapologetic exhibitionism, and a whole new level when it comes to “one-night stands.”Clara“Nice costume, Sandra Dee.” She couldn’t believe it when she found out she’d been matched up with her boss of all people for tonight’s Halloween costume … tonight’s Halloween costume party. She’d been half in love with him for two years. But he has a no fraternization policy, and it’s going to take more than tight leather pants to get him to revise the employee handbook. Or will it?

Clara and Landon are wonderful together; great chemistry and beautiful! Love getting to know all the characters in the Corked and Tapped series by Becca Jameson!
A fun, spicy & quick read.
Clara has had a crush on her boss Landon since she started working at his company. It’s been her secret until her friend and co-worker, Maddie, gets to set up the latest mixer for work. That’s when Maddie sets up Clara and Landon without them knowing it. Only now, Landon has decided it’s time to act on his feelings too and things get heated… quickly.
I am absolutely loving this series! Each book is a quick read but really well developed an written.
This is the fifth book in the Corked and Tapped series and can be read as a standalone but they all happen in the same bar and some of the characters intersect in each book, so it’s better to read them in the order they are written.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A match making best friend, a fancy dress office party and an attraction that has never been acted on lead to fun, dominance and a perfect match. I just loved Maddie’s devious mind, Clara’s innocence and Landon’s dominant ways, although he did go down a notch with some of his presumptions of how things would pan out for him and Clara. I can’t wait for the next installment of the next Corked and Tapped to see who gets lucky next!
Clara starts with a cute premise: the Corked and Tapped bar that is the central hub of Jameson’s series is the site for an office’s costume party. And Clara’s work friend has made sure that Clara meets someone dressed as the counterpart to her costume—the Danny to her Sandy (from Grease)—at this event. From this premise comes a delightful read about two people who’ve been dancing around their interest in one another because they’re in a direct reporting chain at work.
I truly appreciated that Jameson confronted the issue of the reporting chain head-on as a major plot point and didn’t just make a passing comment about it. The fact is, it’s risky to do this in many workplaces, and most large companies have rules about couples not being in the same departments and/or reporting chains. I do think the solution in Clara was simple—it’s a novella, after all—but the fact that it was a focal point of the story was good to see.
I liked both Landon and Clara, and since they’ve known one another for several years, the rapid progression of their relationship in this novella made sense to me. One minor concern: I do wish that Jameson hadn’t labeled Landon as a Dom. There wasn’t enough time in Clara for this angle to be developed fully, and I’d have far preferred it if Landon had said he had dominant tendencies, or liked to take charge in the bedroom, instead of declaring himself a Dom with all the baggage that term brings.
But this is charming read in the Corked and Tapped series, and Jameson is developing a nice thread of costumed connections for future books in this series—just in time for Halloween!
Corked & Tapped 5: I have fallen in love with Ms. Jameson’s Corked & Tapped novellas. Wonderful, one-sitting reads! This is Clara and Landon’s story. So darn romantic. I was tingly all over the whole time! Love the Halloween party! Apropros for this time of year. Can Landon get any sexier? Yummy! Clara sure was a lucky assistant!
Another short but HOT Corked and Tapped book. Oh I did not put this book down, and water was needed to cool off. Clara has lusted over her boss for years. At the company Halloween party she is matched with her boss. Oh this can get very bad… Luckily for Clara, Landon has also been lusting after her and does not want another day to go by without her. Especially after she calls him sir.
Maddie is the event coordinator for Jacoby Advertising. Maddie has rented the back room of Corked & Tapped for the Halloween office party. Maddie paired employees by costumes and her best friend Claira who secretly has a crush on her boss Landon and is his personal assistant, has been set up with the costume as Sandra as in the movie Grease. Now who is playing her partner only Maddie knows…..and she’s not telling….This is the very basic beginning to a fun erotic romantic mystery, with a twist. I loved this story. I was given this and I voluntarily leave this review.
I’m loving this series. Each book is a quick read that delivers a HEA, each situation is different, they’re well written & enjoyable. What’s not to love? This story has Clara & Landon being matched up in an office fancy dress party, not realising that they each have a crush on the other. This, like the others in the series, is really easy to get through & very entertaining. Worth the read.
Becca Jameson scores with another lusty romance with great characters woven into an interesting storyline. Another fantasy is fulfilled at Corked and Tapped when a meddling friend sets Clara up with her office crush. He’s everything she’s dreamt about in her wildly lusty dreams and so much more. Reality is infinitely better than dreams.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
It was just the company costume party.
What could go wrong?
When Clara was matched up with her boss, she did not know what to do.
She had a crush on him for forever.
Now that they are in close proximity, what is Clara going to do ?
Should she seize the moment ?
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Dressed as Sandra Dee, Clara is helping her best friend, Maddie set up for the Company Costume party. In a wild brain storm Maddie thought it would be fun to match up folks from different departments by costume.
Clara’s a little bit afraid to see who the ‘Danny’ Maddie matched her with and when she realizes it’s her boss Landon, well things get very interesting. Only it wasn’t Maddie who matched her, Landon tracked down the guy and traded with him.
In many ways Landon had planned out this night intending to have it last longer.
Clara has had a crush on the man for two years and she’s about to throw her career right out the window for a chance to be with him.
This is another fun, sexy, and romantic read with plenty of sizzling heat.
