Welcome to George Washington Township, home to the tenacious Detective Claire Goodnite. From kidnappings to murders, she’s hell bent on solving cases and uncovering the truth—and keeping sexy FBI Special Agent Wesley O’Connell away from her cases… and her heart.
Let me tell you, I am glad this is a complete series because I would have had a fit if I had to wait for the rest of the books!
Jennifer Rebecca has a way of making me fall for her characters then she rips the rug out from under me, then she does it all over again! Thankfully, she usually gives me a happy ever after.
This series revolves around Detective Claire Goodnight and super sexy FBI Agent Wesley O’Connell. Did I mention super sexy? I fell for a Wesley! These two have history that they need to work through and through the series they not only work cases but they also work in a relationship.

This is the 1st books I’ve read books written by Jennifer Rebecca; she has done an excellent job at writing a good set of books; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story lines caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I read this series individually, via a friends kindle and loved the entire series. What I liked especially, she’s got spunk. Claire smart, the chemistry with Wes is great.

The Complete Claire Goodnite series includes the following novels: Tell Me a Story, Tuck Me in Tight, Say a Sweet Prayer, and Kiss Me Goodnight.
These stories captured my interest from the first and kept me on the edge of my seat. Reading this collection is a great way to spend a weekend. The characters are well developed, quirky, and relatable. The storyline of each is well written and intriguing, with danger, suspense, and steamy romance.
I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Never Really Could Like the Heroine
This is the first writing that I have read by this author. I usually read romances and cozy mysteries but felt like reading a series of proper, straight-up detective stories. Unfortunately, I was not wild about this series. I think I’m too much of a prude for certain kinds of books. I didn’t like that the first scene of the first book was a hook-up of the eponymous heroine and a guy whose name she couldn’t even remember as she was left him still sleeping nor did I like the rampant profanity. I guess because the heroine is a New Jersey cop, it kind of makes sense from a character standpoint, but I still don’t like it. I did like that the series had an overarching plotline having to do with the heroine’s past. I thought I knew how it was all going to end, but the author did manage to throw in some surprises. I still cannot say that I truly liked this series as I just could never really like the heroine because of her lifestyle choices and all that swearing. She and Wes, though, did have some chemistry.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
She is a detective in a town where many crimes are committed and she tries to get to the truth. While she tries to keep him away from her investigations and even away from her heart. Can she do both? Follow her through this collection and see

0 STARS…that is what I would give this book if I knew how. WORST WORST WORST BOOK EVER READ and I am avid reader.
You can not like the characters. ALL UNPROFESSIONAL from the very beginning..
I WOULD SAY SPOILER ALERT but that would imply there was something to spoil…this is a rotten book so nothing to spoil.
Book starts with her screwing a complete stranger.
She runs into her old crush – FBI AGENT MIND YOU – she is a cop and he states in front of her coworkers and victims family that ‘you know the size of my dick and it ain’t small”.
He gropes her against her will. He slams her into a wall and kisses her. He grabs her ass, boobs, and vaginal ALL THE WHILE TELLING HER SHE BELONGS TO HIM AND THESE PARTS BELONG TO HIM..no more playing with other boys….SHE IS HIS.
HER BROTHER IS CHIEF OF POLICE…and while in his office he tells her “over your naked body” and manhandles her, threatens her with cuffs and her BROTHER THE CHIEF laughs.
She plays dressup at a bridal shop while investigating a missing 6-year-old boy.
She is a COP and hotwires the FBI guys car.
SO MANY MORE THINGS- ridiculous unbelievable, unlikable things…worst sexual dialogue ever, overuse of pussy and cock to the point you skip on thru it and
ALL THIS WAS IN THE FIRST 10% OF THE BOOK (NO PAGE NUMBERS).
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. No tie up to her story, nope gotta read book 2 and I could not get past 3% because it was FAR WORSE than book 1.
NOTHING TANTALIZING ABOUT THE DIALOGUE FOR A TURN ON, JUST GRATUITOUS SEXUAL THROW OUTS THAT BECAUSE IT WAS FORCING SOMEONE took away any romantic turn on it was intended to have.
Pages and pages of gratuitous sex that did nothing for the story line.
SOOOOO MUCH HIM TELLING HER SHE BELONGS TO HIM…
AND EVERY WOMAN WANTING THIS MAN RIGHT DOWN TO AN 18-YEAR-OLD THROWING HERSELF AT HIM AT THE COFFEE SHOP when he is like 40…
such horrible writing and just such a disastrous read.
I didn’t really like the main characters or the books themselves — I felt Claire Goodnite was more a bratty kid than a smart, determined police detective, her relationships with the former neighbor boy turned FBI Agent love interest and her older brother seem too adolescent for the very dark kinds of cases they’re all thrown into, and it feels like it wants to be J.D. Robb’s IN DEATH series…but doesn’t know how to.
There were a lot of very detailed sex passages. Several would have been fine, but they didn’t add anything to the plot. There were also a lot of cut and paste pages of the main character’s past history, Yes, this was needed to understand her present situation, but there seemed to be an awful lot of them. Maybe these comments would not be needed if I hadn’t read the entire series at once. These passages about the past history may be needed if the books were purchased separately.
Decent storyline, but did no one edit the book?
