I loved this one SO much. Definitely goes in favourites pile. A fake relationship between two friends who haven’t really been friends for the past decade. Unrequited secret love. A strong, honourable man so in love with the heroine. Fist fight. Love that’s meant to be. All the good stuff.

5 out of 5 stars
This story is wonderful to read. It is romantic and sweet. I loved the characters of Ashley and Jennings. I grew to care about them with each chapter that I read. Their story pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. There are so many moments when I had a smile on my face and saying “aww.” There are other characters that are enjoyable to read about. The book is entertaining and well-written. The ending came far too soon and I found myself wishing it was longer. This is a story I would recommend reading.
Holy crap! I absolutely love those sexy Hill boys. And Jennings is my favorite by far. He is the silent and sexy type. One who has been pining for the same woman for years and denying it every step of the way. Ashley Hughes. As Carter says “You’re like a moth to her flame”
Ashley is in town for her sisters wedding, to her ex. She is so busy trying to make everyone understand that she is perfectly ok with the marriage. But none believe her. She has tried everything. So when Jennings shows his intent again she really wants to go all in. But can she convince him she is really into him and not still pining for her ex.
Kadie Scott delivers with this powerful story that every fan of the The Hills of Texas have been dying for. I know I have. Jennings has always been that powerful soul that I have been dying to see. In the previous books, they always hint at what ales him. But now we get the inside scoop and let me tell you that is one dominating and sexy cowboy. Yummy!!!!
This book has is all. A brooding sexy cowboy, a sweet and misunderstood woman and the dream to love. It is a steady read that incorporates a magic unlike anything else in the romance genre. I am so in love with this series! Well done Kadie Scott. Well done!!! I so hope that is not all we get from this series. Rumor has it we shall see a book #5. Wink Wink.
A story about doubts, missed chances, and pride. An engrossing story that flows well. Worth adding to your holiday read list. Happily ever after with good characters. Sexual situation but no foul language.
This is a true Christmas story! And a second chance story! A great addition to my December Christmas themed reading! Great characters. I truly enjoyed this book!
A friendship broken up due to jealousy finds its way back to love and marriage. Great story well told.
This book was so neat to read you you knew what you wanted to happen, but the story just wouldn’t get there. It was a great read and entertaining.

Ashley was in an awkward situation, but Jennings helped. They are good together. This is a very good holiday romance with a great epilogue.
nice easy read
Enjoyed it but felt like the ending was a bit rushed or lacking. Overall liked it
Old friends reunite into love. Good story. To much explicite sex.
Good read
Just plain a wonderful story.
Enjoyed it! A relaxing afternoon read with wonderful characters.
The story of Jennings and Ashley has lots of interesting twists and turns. Makes me realize how much of our disconnects come from lack of communication. This was a warm love story and I look forward to reading other stories in this series. This is the first book I’ve read by Kadie Scott but I will be looking for her titles in the future.
Entertaining read for those times you want to disappear in a book but not think too hard.
I love this book! A must read!!!
