A cowboy with a chip on his shoulder, a farrier who’s got no roots, and their second chance at making a life together…Unwilling to be tied down, farrier Robin Cook has managed to pack her entire life into a two-hundred-and-eighty square-foot house, and that includes her Yorkie. Now, if things get too hard, she can pack up and get out of town in under an hour, and that’s just the life she thinks … the life she thinks she wants. No roots. No commitments. No relationships.
Cowboy and co-foreman at Grape Seed Ranch, Shane Royal, has had his heart set on Robin for three years, even though she flat-out turned him down the last time he asked her to dinner. But she’s back at Grape Seed Ranch for five weeks as she works her horseshoeing magic, and he’s still interested in her, despite a bitter life lesson that left a bad taste for marriage in his mouth.
Robin’s attracted to him too. But can she put down roots in Grape Seed Falls and find room for Shane in her tiny house? And will he take a chance on her with his tired heart?

I loved this first Royal Bros romance. It was great to see so much of Grape Seed and also get to touch base with Three Rivers. I enjoyed the long standing connection between our mains. Our hero had daddy issues and anger to work out and our heroine had to figure out if she could put down roots somewhere. I can’t wait to read more!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Can Shane convince free spirirt Robin to finally settle down with him ? He needs to fight the demons from his past and forgive his father before opening his heart to Robin. Great audiobook
This was such a sweet read and clean too! I loved the second chance Shane and Kelly got. What a start, she runs him over? Lol… this was such a fun read, happy and sad times but HEA wins out in the end.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.
I received a copy of this audio book in exchange for a honest review. I liked the story. But I did not like the voice on the audio. It was distracting and annoying.
I really enjoyed reading Claiming the Cowboy. Shane and Robin’s relationship was an up and down emotional rollercoaster, with tears included. I am so glad the they were given a second chance in love. Highly recommend
Wonderful, clean series.
I love Liz Isaacson, her novels are truly wonderful! It is hard to find an author who can distinguish between a Christian Romance Novel and a Contemporary Romance Novel, but Ms. Isaacson does it and she does it well! I highly recommend every novel that I have read, and I hope that every novel I plan to read in the future is of the same quality!
“Claiming the Cowboy” is a fabulous tale that explains the importance of not running from the past, whether it is your own or someone else’s close to you. In this story, we meet a young woman who bought a small house and decided to drive it no matter where she went, for that way she will never be tied down to one place. Can one dedicated cowboy change her outlook on life? Can love truly conqueror all?
I recommend this twelve novel series, each one is better than the last. Very well written, it’s like a story coming off the pages before your very eyes.
Having met both Shane and Robin in previous books in this series, I was pleased to see that their not so secret longing for one another finally came to a head. In an about turn, it is Shane that the community protects and watches over, rather than rolling stone Robin, who doesn’t like being pinned down to a commitment. However, as they once again spend time together, their attraction for one another is unavoidable. Shane has unfinished business in his life, and once he gets some of the hurt off his chest, he begins to see more clearly, and realises that if he wants Robin, he has to let her go. Ultimately, it is Robin who has to make a choice and find a way for them to be together. She is surprised to realise that it is easier than she thought; however, it is up to her to persuade Shane that her plan will work. I have come to realise that there are very few people in life who come without baggage. Some loads are heavier than others, but as both Shane and Robin found, there are ways of dealing with it. I enjoyed this sweet read and was pleased that the characters found a way to work through their issues. I received a copy of this book for free and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Love this series, this writer is one of my favorites and I really enjoy this series.
Robin and Shane are great characters but they both have issues from their families that keep them from committing to anyone. Can they learn to forgive, trust God with the future and move on? If you enjoy contemporary Texas ranch books, you will want to read Claiming the Cowboy by Liz Isaacson! I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
