A Wall Street Journal and Amazon Charts bestseller. All defenses are down in the fifth Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.Sarah Butler isn’t flattered. She’s angry and unnerved. She’s been getting intimate gifts from a man she barely knows. Nothing threatening yet, but there’s just a weird vibe she can’t ignore. Her recourse is Ace Security. Their solution: … recourse is Ace Security. Their solution: self-defense lessons at Rock Hard Gym with a personal, hands-on instructor. One look at the bearded, tattooed, green-eyed alpha is enough to take Sarah’s breath away.
Cole Johnson is definitely the man for the job. He’s eager to train her. Eager to get closer. And when it comes to Sarah’s instincts, Cole knows she’s not imagining things. He’s also not imagining the intense attraction between them—and his desire to protect her is growing. But so are Sarah’s fears, the worst of which come true when she disappears.
Enlisting the help of Ace Security, Cole will stop at nothing to find the love of his life…before she vanishes forever.

This is book 5 of the Ace Security set and still going strong!”
In this one Sarah is a nurse that is getting gifts from an admirer that wont take no for an answer. Cole is part of the ACE security and meets her when she goes for self defense leasons. when he finds out she is being stalked he can’t help but protect her. A great romance with plenty of suspense and action. Great written storyline and good interaction with characters. Fast to read and kept my attention.
Sarah is a certified nurses assistant and has been receiving gifts and letters from a patients son. She contacts Ace Security but they send her to a gym to get self defense lessons. She meets Cole, the owner, there and he tries to get out of the meeting, so she leaves. He chases her down and apologizes and tells her he will give her lessons. The more time he spends with her the harder he falls. Cole believes her about the stalker even though the police didn’t. When she disappears, Cole will move heaven and earth to find her.
I absolutely loved this story. It has suspense, sex, and a little humor. Cole is the kind of guy everyone wishes they would find. Sarah is sweet and doesn’t see the bad in anyone. I read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
“Claiming Sarah” was an interesting read. The entertaining page-turning easy-to-read plot was filled with suspense, lust, and a little bit of levity. Additionally, the main characters, Cole and Sarah, seemed ideally suited for each other. I loved the vivid details the author provided. Overall, I liked the narrative.
Claiming Sarah, book 5 of the Ace Security Series, is not Susan Stoker at her best. The action, tension and suspense is just not as dramatic as usual. Instead of edge of your seat drama , the story behind Claiming Sarah is slow and blase. It was a good story just not as tense as is Susan’s usual style.
This is Cole Johnson’s chance at happily ever after, as a supporting character becomes a hero. Cole is a friend of the Anderson brothers who own Ace Security. He is not Susan Stoker’s usual alpha hero. He is self- disparaging and feels unworthy of the heroine Sarah. Cole is just as Alpha and protective as his friends, traits that captured my heart with most of Susan’s main male characters. Yet, his constant belittling of himself got to be annoying as the book went on. Susan’s heroes are usually broken souls that become better men as the women they love fill the cracks. Cole is definitely another imperfect hero, but his constant put downs of himself, was not endearing at all.
Sarah is so nice, she makes my teeth hurt! All of Susan Stoker’s damsels in distress have a core strength, making it easy to empathize with them. However, Sarah’s outlook on life, to always see the good in people, made her seem so naive and a perfect target for evil people. She just made me want to scream.
Sarah’s character also evolves under Susan Stoker’s creative genius. More importantly Susan uses her character to again do what Susan Stoker does best. Through Sarah, she introduces a controversial topic of how to deal with a world that hates those who are different from them. Also Susan’s sympathetic handling of how do we take care of those whose mental health makes it difficult to care for themselves was thought provoking. Owen, the troubled mentally disabled boy/man, and his struggles once his mother died, was one of the most heart wrenching stories I have read. The care and sensitivity with which Susan Stoker developed his character really made me think about the fate of people like Owen in my own community. And that is what Susan does so well. She writes steamy romance, with just the right balance of intrigue. But it is not just trash fiction. Like some of the best literary romance writers, Bronte and Austen, Susan Stoker writings inspire the reader to think about the world in a different way.
Which is why ,even though Claiming Sarah was not my favorite of the Ace Security Series, I was still glad I took the time to read It!
“Claiming Sarah” is the fifth and final book in the Ace Security series, I am going to miss these guys. Sarah Butler has a stalker, she keeps getting gifts from someone but she doesn’t know who. Sarah is a sweet person and only sees the best in people which could get her in serious trouble. She wants the gifts to stop so she contacts Ace Security to see if they can help. Since the guy has not really did anything to her, other than send gifts, they referred her to Cole Johnson at Rock Hard Gym to get some self-defense classes. Cole is a lovable, hard working man and will do whatever it takes to help Sarah. After an initial meeting that doesn’t turn out to good, Cole starts teaching Sarah ways to protect herself. Then Sarah goes missing and it will take the whole team to find her and her stalker.
Susan Stoker sure knows how to do romantic suspense!
This is the fifth and last book in Ace Security Series. Is is an exciting suspenseful adventure and sweet romance. Cole Johnson is co owner of Rick Hard Gym and teaches self defense classes to women who need them. Sarah Johnson is a CNA at a local hospital and is referred to Cole by Ace Security. It seems she has a secret admirer who is creeping her out. Gifts and letters have been left on her door steps and the police have blown off her concern. Cole is rude and brash and Sarah is sweet and accepting. These two opposites are just what the other needs. She can see the best in everything and he will protect her. He has his hands full as he tries to protect her from her stalker.
I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway and this is my voluntary and honest review. I enjoyed this love story of Sarah and Cole. It was hard to put this book down after Sarah was kidnapped by a man who was stalking her. You will have to read the book to find out if Cole and his friends were able to save Sarah and what she had to endure. I highly recommend this book.
Sarah is afraid but no one else understands why. That is until she meets Cole. While he may not understand he does accept and validate her fear. Even as he teaches her defensive skills he falls in love, but will his knowledge and her love be enough?
Claiming Sarah is fifth in Susan Stoker’s Ace Security series. I loved returning to this town. And I adored the fact Ms. Stoker decided to give Cole someone of his own. And Sarah was perfect for him. She saw past his exterior to the core of Cole. She saw good in him even as Cole struggled to see and accept within the good himself. I love that Ms. Stoker showed us that kindness isn’t wrong. I love that Sarah was not diminished or taken advantage of just because she was kind and sought to spread her good nature. I loved that Cole appreciated who Sarah was and actively protected her. He saw the strength to be had in being good to others. He saw the need to protect and preserve who Sarah is at her core. I loved seeing Cole and Sarah grow together as a couple. Sarah wasn’t sure about moving forward into a “we” but Cole’s determination showed her just how serious he is…he sees a future with her and will fight to obtain it.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing kindness win the day in the latest from Ms. Stoker. I loved seeing friendship morph into the family. The support Cole gained from his friendships bolstered him when things were rough. I loved seeing Cole and Sarah finds strength in their love. This story by Ms. Stoker is well written and full of joy. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing kindness and compassion in a world where little is shown. And I loved returning to this world and these characters.
Five Shooting Stars
Another book by Susan Stoker that is wonderful. I live the action and everything else in this story. Done pass this book up.
Brilliant as always.
I read the whole series and they are all amazing. Sarah and Cole’s story is a great ending to a exciting series.
Have you ever read an author whose work you normally like and read one of their books that isn’t their best work? Claiming Sarah is that book. I am usually a fan of Susan Stoker’s books and I have read all of the previous books in the Ace Security series but this one was definitely my least favorite. Cole had been a favorite character throughout the series and I was glad to see that he received his story but it was definitely a let down. His leading lady, Sarah was a nice character as other reviewers have stated but rather boring. The drama of her stalker was rather pathetic due to the fact that she knew who her stalker was and that he was a forty something developmentally disabled man. It is hard to dislike a character who doesn’t realize the harm that they are doing. Lastly, I know that the author likes to write stories where her characters instantly fall in love but this one was rather unbelievable. Claiming Sarah was told from dual POV and is loaded with steamy scenes but is light on plot.
Have your tissues ready
I am so glad that Cole didn’t get forgotten with this series. You see all the brothers find happiness, and Felicity being with a Anderson brother after Nathan and Bailey got together. But Cole needed his happy ever after and it’s great she is a total sweetheart.
Loved this series
***3 stars***
I typically love this authors books, but this one fell just a little flat for me. I liked Cole and Sarah but the insta-love thing just didn’t do it for me based on what was going on in Sarah’s life with the stalker thing. I got that Cole was all into her with just a glance, but I needed more depth to it. The stalker issue I liked because the guy isn’t an outright evil guy, which was nice to see and I did like catching up with all the Ace Security crew.
I wish I had loved this book, but I didn’t, I simply liked it. This doesn’t mean that you won’t like it, but I do recommend at least reading Claiming Felicity before diving into this one, so you get a better feel for Cole.

A very fabulous conclusion of the Ace Security Series. Sarah’s got a stalker no one can evaluate, so she might be in danger she’s not quite aware of. Fortunately, she gets to meet Cole and the two of them slowly get to know and like each other. And when shit hits the fan it’s in Cole to keep his promise.
Wow!
Romantic suspense with a heart! This story isn’t your usual edge of your seat, heart pounding romantic suspense. It has heart! I loved Sarah’s compassion and strength. I also loved the way Cole was so willing to help her without making her feel like a damsel in distress. This story was sexy and romantic with some intense moments. I loved it!
Anything written by Susan Stoker is worth reading!
So Good! I am so glad Cole got his own happily ever after. Cole and Sarah’s story has a unique twist in the plot that I really enjoyed. I found this book to be a quick read that I could not put down.
An excellent addition to the Ace Security series. This completes the main characters’ stories. Cole is a wonderful Alpha protector and Sarah is almost to good to be true. The make a terrific couple. Sarah’s admirer is a surprise. I really liked the twist.
Erin Bennett did a great job bringing the story to life.
