FELANAS EXIST TO BREED on the planet Vesta. No one hates that more than Tessa, a felana on the run, a gutter-rat who hides in the slums and clings to a single goal, killing the Boss who runs the felana trade. Nothing will stop her. Until she meets Sanger, the biggest Prime she’s ever seen, and his smell alone catapults her into the most intense heat of her life. There’s only one solution. Him.
… Him.
HER OWN BODY won’t take no for an answer.
HE DOESN’T HAVE TIME FOR A RUT. Sanger, bastard son of the Roq, commander of thousands, cold-hearted enforcer, he wants one thing–vengeance, but one woman keeps stumbling in his path, right on the edge of her mating heat cycle, pushing him toward rut and reminding him that his own blood is anything but cold, and he can only deny the commands of his body for so long.
THE CLAIMING is a full-length standalone heat-cycle mating romance, jampacked with bada*s alien warriors laced with swords and big muscles, a wicked-smart heroine and a whole lot of romance.
IF YOU LOVE omegaverse alien romances, heat cycles or hot guys in rut (who doesn’t, lol) this is the series for you. No fades-to-black, no cliffhangers, and all the happily-ever-afters!
WARNING: Please be warned that this is a dark paranormal with adult themes including language, violence, dubious consent, kinks, etc. Some of you will find it too dark and others too light.
Each book in the series is a full standalone with an HEA, but if you prefer to read in order:

Delicious dark romance with a whopping side of whoop-a$$
Immy Keeper has at long last added a fourth book to her Tribe Warrior series. It reads well enough as a stand alone, but the references to planets and species made me want to go back and re-read books 1-3. I think that might make the world-building aspects of this book stronger. The romance is as hot, sexy, and dark as a reader could want, although it is clear from the story that it is a biological imperative, not a character flaw, which makes Sanger and Tessa’s behavior so extreme. Sanger makes the perfect good-but-damaged hero, arousing the reader’s sympathy. Tessa shines as the irrepressible, whip-smart and intuitive felana, as alpha in her way as Sanger is in his. Lovers of dark, sexy tales of battle and betrayal with a high body count and HEA – this is your golden opportunity. Grab it!
intriguing new Omegaverse world I want to dive back into soon
—>>> Review Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars – I had not read any of the previous stories from this series or this author, so I jumped to read this story as I was intrigued from its description, and I am thrilled to say it really delivered! Descriptions of the fast-paced action drew me right in, starting on the rooftops and then the streets of their world as Tessa is caught spying during a secretive meeting, hoping to discern the man she is hunting, “the Boss.” She is pursued by a massive Prime who SAVES her instead of capturing her, a felana in hiding. Her kind is always being hunted and taken in their society, and Primes are never to be trusted. But nothing happens in their sector without Prime Sanger knowing or finding out, so when he encounters her again, he already knows enough about her, the girl from their brief encounter already lingering in his thoughts.
I enjoyed the plot and the characters were both strong and not to be messed with, as well as the secondary cast of characters working with Sanger, and this little felana works her way through to his deadened heart to jump-start it again. An intriguing new Omegaverse world to dive back into again soon, hopefully! In the meantime, I know I will have three previous installments to catch up on!
I’ve not read anything written by Imogen Keeper before, but she definitely impressed me/. Although this book is part of a series, I read this as a standalone and it’s not that difficult to follow. Sanger and Tessa are well written, compelling characters with horrific backstories. The Omegaverse was well written and easy to picture all the moving parts and all it’s class divisions. I loved Tessa’s strength, resilience, and determination to avenge her brother’s death. Sanger was very much the same, wanting vengeance as well. The book was well paced, had great twists and turns, and some great surprises. This series is available for free with your KU subscription, so I have some reading to do! I’m curious about the other books. Well done Imogen, you have a new fan!
I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my honest review.
