We have a dark past, and now he is my sworn protector. My whole life, I wanted to be someone. Even though my father seemed to think I was destined for failure, I landed myself a coveted, but low-paying job in New York City, away from the drudgery of my hometown. But the past has a way of catching up with you. If I wanted to prove myself, I needed to go back to Salem and see this lead through. The … to Salem and see this lead through.
The story, I had expected.
Running into Marcel Forrester wasn’t part of the plan, and bittersweet memories of the past leave me both frightened and intrigued.
Now, he is sworn to protect me against a force I hadn’t even known existed, but even the powerful Alpha can’t save me if I don’t want to be saved.

I thought this was a very good shifter romance. Likable characters, steamy chemistry and a solid storyline makes for an entertaining and enjoyable read. Offers a good blend of drama, emotional turmoil and action.
Great beginning.
Emily had been planning on being a journalist since high school. Marcel, the alpha’s son, met her when she broke him out of detention. She wants him to let her do an article on the pack. Little did she know that was a death sentence, if the pack found out. Eight years later she’s onto a story that will make her career in her hometown. Marcel, now the alpha, has been tasked with keeping Emily safe. She has no idea what is going on or why a criminal is coming after her. You need to read this fast-paced story.
Gabriel is an Alpha wolf that has created his own pack of criminals and con men. Basically all bad guys. He also created four women six to eight years ago. The women don’t know they are wolves as Gabriel took their memory too. So each of these stories is about a women and this story is about Emily. Emily met Marcel in high school. She got information about wolf shifters and wanted to get a story from Marcel as he and Ever are the sons of the pack leader. Marcel ignores her and still is fascinated with her. Now many years later one of the Council members is Landon Burke. He order Marcel who is now the Alpha leader to find Emily as Gabriel is searching for her. This does have a happy ending and it was a good quick read.

Hot, sexy shifter romance! Love the characters and the storyline. Marcel and Emily are meant to be mates. Love the ending!
The well written storyline and the great characters kept me turning the pages until the very last page! As each and every page was turned I felt like the characters jumped from the pages and yanked me right into their story as it unfolded!
Wow what an absolute must read. This is a great shifter romance. The storyline is arresting and full of drama. The characters are sexy and protective. Their chemistry is immediate and erotic. Their hea is one for they will never forget.

A really good shifter romance.
Marcel has been charged with tracking down Emily as a favor to the head of wolf shifters, Landon. Not knowing anything other than her name and her connection to Gabriel, the shifter who turned her against her will or knowledge, he looks her up and realizes that he knows her. Now he just has to save her from Gabriel.
This book is part of the Council of Seven series but can easily be read as a standalone.

This is an on the edge of your seat read from beginning to end, so hold on to your seats because you are in for quite a ride. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Marcel was sent to protect Emily Piper. Emily didn’t realize she was a turned werewolf. She needed to be protected from Gabriel, who wanted to use her for breeding. He was made aware that she was his mate and he had to find her before Gabriel and his pack. After all the chaos Marcel and Emily have a HEA. This is a well written story.

This is the story of Marcel, the youngest pack leader of the Lycans, and Emily, a young human girl, who meet in high school detention. Years have past since Emily moved from Salem, Oregon but she is back to get a scoop as a journalist. Her arrival becomes the catalyst for murder, kidnapping and pack tensions.
Overall, this was a very nice read. While I thought the ending a little abrupt and open ended (there is room for another story to be told) but the author still delivers the HEA ending.
Claiming His Mate by Juniper Hart
Emily has always been a reporter even in high school. That is where she met Marcel who is a Lycan. His father was alpha at the time and was going to name the next alpha. He had told Marcel he was going to name his younger brother Even but ended up naming Marcel. As alpha Marcel was told to find Emily, she was in danger from Gabrial and his cutthroat pack members. This book is hard to put down, it is a paper-turner. This story is full of twist and turns. I really liked this story.

Awesome Story! This is another wonderful story related to the Council of Seven series. It will hook you right from the start as there’s plenty of intrigue, danger, suspense, and romance that will keep you glued to the story to find out what happens next. Marcel Forrester was the youngest Alpha the world had seen in centuries, and although he stopped aging at twenty-seven, he was still only twenty-nine years old. He still had a wild streak that he needed to learn to control and if he allowed his temper to prevail, his pack was likely to stage a coup and leave him out in the cold, at least according to Landon, a member of the Council of Seven and representative of the wolves. He wasn’t the easiest person to either know or love. He didn’t trust many people, and often endlessly overread every nuance while he waited for the other shoe to drop. Landon had gone to Marcel giving him a specific job to do, one that could ultimately ruin the unity of the Enchanted Lycons if not accomplished. To say Marcel was a bit resentful of the fact, was an understatement, until he found out who was involved. Then it became personal. Emily Piper Pasternik had received an e-mail from the missing mistress of a Senator asking Emily to come to Salem for an exclusive interview telling her side of things. After she ignored it, Emily received the second e-mail which convinced Emily with small specifics that only she knew, convincing her the offer was legit. After much begging on her part with all her evidence, the Editor at Illumination Magazine sent his copy girl on an assignment that took her back to her hometown of Salem, Oregon after being gone for almost a decade. Running from her past, she led herself to believe she was a professional and could return home impassively and detach from all that had happened. However, after landing, a whole different feeling had overcome her and it didn’t take more than two seconds to realize it was anxiety.
Once again Juniper Hart has taken us into the Enchanted Magical world and given us an instant connection, adventure, angst, and romance all with an underlying plot that gave us a Happily Ever After for this couple, but remains to be solved. Which leads me to be excited for the next book in the series.

This seems like a nice spin off from the Council of Seven series.
I really enjoyed the characters, though there were times when I felt their chemistry was lacking.
But the story had steam and twists and turns that kept me intrigued to see what came next.
Im interested to see what will happen next in this new series.
Happy reading!

Their story started 12 years ago when she saved him
OK it was only from detention but it counts. Doesn’t it?
And their story has been waiting for them to tell it ever since.
And I’m so glad they’ve finally managed to tell their story. It’s sweet and fiery and full of misunderstandings and betrayals and even has a shadowy figure ghosting them all these years.
Can they survive their hell before they get their happily ever after? But what scars and effects will they wear afterwards?
I really enjoy this series and this story is slightly lighter than the others – although the menace and the all interfering Council of Seven is all present as usual.
They may have had to wait for their love story – and it might have needed a slight push – but it was well worth the wait
The book was really good! It was very interesting in how it keep you guessing through the whole book!!

Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
Gabriel spoke to his new Lycan pack, created by turning criminals and conmen to guarantee he would have the strongest pack in the entire region. He chose the best cutthroats, thieves, and killers he could find and told them they would rule the others and run the lands as they chose. His biggest concern was that Landon Burke of the Council of Seven learns that he created a super pack with himself as the alpha. Now one of the new Lycans pointed out the lack of women. Pretending he had not forgotten, he told them he would be turning four females at the next full moon so his new pack could breed – but where would he find such females?
Landon Burke, as Head of the Lycans, contacted Marcel Forrester with an important assignment. He had become aware that Gabriel had turned four females and he needed to have them kept far away from Gabriel and his pack. Landon wanted Marcel to find Emily Piper before Gabriel did and protect her! Marcel was not pleased with the assignment since he was busy and this just irritated him further. He always had a problem with his temper; it was something he needed to work on as Alpha or he would struggle with controlling his own pack.
Marcel went home and did a computer search for Emily Piper. When he found her, he was stunned — Emily Piper Pasternik! He knew her, and her protection had now become a personal matter!
Emily, as a journalist on assignment, returns to her home town of Salem. She is not aware that she has been turned and is being hunted by a despicable Alpha to be used as a breeder for his pack members. Although Marcel has been tasked with protecting her, he now realizes the urgency because she is his mate! Will Marcel find her in time to protect her? Or will Gabriel and his pack capture her and use her for their own intentions?
This was a good book with likable main characters and an interesting, well-paced story line. Grab your copy and see whether Marcel can be what Emily needs to find a future together.
